Періодизація української історичної науки та образи М. Грушевського у О. Оглоблина (The Periodization of Ukrainian Historical Study and the Images of Mykhailo Hrushevskyi by Oleksandr Ohloblyn)

У тезах представлений образ М. Грушевського в інтелектуальній спадщині О. Оглоблина через призму його періодизації української історичної науки. Проаналізовано найважливіші історіографічні твори О. Оглоблина, в яких порушено проблеми різних періодів української історіографії. У них постать М. Грушевського зображена як така, чия діяльність охоплює три історіографічні періоди – кінець ХІХ ст., 1905-1918 рр., 20-ті – початок 30-х років ХХ ст. Розглянуто один із ключових підходів О. Оглоблина до періодизації історичної науки – концепцію генерації (покоління) істориків, які є зв’язним елементом у безперервності історіографічного процесу. (The article considers the image of Mykhailo Hrushevskyi in the intellectual heritage of Oleksandr Ohloblyn through the prism of his periodization of Ukrainian historical study. The author analyses the most important historiographic works of Oleksandr Ohloblyn, in which the problems of different periods of Ukrainian historiography are raised. In these works, the figure of Mykhailo Hrushevskyi is depicted as one who covers three historiographical periods – the end of the 19th century, the years 1905-1918, the 1920th-the beginning of the 1930th. The paper also considers one of the key approaches of Oleksandr Ohloblyn to the periodization of historical study i.e. the concept of the generation of historians, who are a coherent element of the uninterrupted historiographical process.

Ultraslow Wave Nuclear Burning of Uranium-Plutonium Fissile Medium on Epithermal Neutrons

For a fissile medium, originally consisting of uranium-238, the investigation of fulfillment of the wave burning criterion in a wide range of neutron energies is conducted for the first time, and a possibility of wave nuclear burning not only in the region of fast neutrons, but also for cold, epithermal and resonance ones is discovered for the first time. For the first time the results of the investigation of the Feoktistov criterion fulfillment for a fissile medium, originally consisting of uranium-238 dioxide with enrichments 4.38%, 2.00%, 1.00%, 0.71% and 0.50% with respect to uranium-235, in the region of neutron energies 0.015-10.0eV are presented. These results indicate a possibility of ultraslow wave neutron-nuclear burning mode realization in the uranium-plutonium media, originally (before the wave initiation by external neutron source) having enrichments with respect to uranium-235, corresponding to the subcritical state, in the regions of cold, thermal, epithermal and resonance neutrons. In order to validate the conclusions, based on the slow wave neutron-nuclear burning criterion fulfillment depending on the neutron energy, the numerical modeling of ultraslow wave neutron-nuclear burning of a natural uranium in the epithermal region of neutron energies (0.1-7.0eV) was conducted for the first time. Метафора «залізного перстня»: деякі питання семіотики влади у М. Грушевського (The Metaphor of the “Iron Ring”: Questions of Semiotics of Power in Hrushevskyi’s Works)

Символічний простір кілець як метафора, яку використовує автор, є не що інше, як архетип влади. Вона хоч і носить сакральний характер, але поряд з тим залишається феноменом, який репрезентується магічним та міфологічним, символічним – «кільцем влади». У тезах порівнюється боротьба за владу в «Володарі кілець» та українсько-польська політична боротьба, подана в наративі М.С. Грушевського, яка буде тривати доти, поки перстень ворожої влади не буде знищено. Автор тез вказує на те, що коли мається на увазі чужинецький символ влади - “перстень” - від якого треба звільнитися, то тут же постає потреба національної влади, тобто своєї, яку як “обруч” треба накинути. Для М.С. Грушевського втіленням такої влади була Центральна Рада, яка мала б стати на чолі українського народу та держави, разом з тим протистояти анархії та розвалу. (The symbolism of a ring as a metaphor used by the author is an archetype of power. It does not have a sacred character, but remains a phenomenon that is represented as a magical and mythological and symbolic “ring of power”. The text compares the power struggle in Lord of the Rings and the Ukrainian-Polish political struggle described in the narrative of Mykhailo Hrushevskyi. According to the research, the struggle will last until the ring of the enemy’s power is destroyed. The author points out that the symbol of alien power – “the ring” – represents the power we want to escape from, and then there immediately appears the need for the national authority, that can be represented by a “hoop”, which must be imposed. The embodiment of this power for Mykhailo Hrushevskyi was the Central Council, which had to become the head of the Ukrainian people and the state, however, had to resist the anarchy and disorder.
