On The Symplectic Two-Form of Gravity in Terms of Dirac Eigenvalues
The Dirac eigenvalues form a subset of observables of the Euclidean gravity.
The symplectic two-form in the covariant phase space could be expressed, in
principle, in terms of the Dirac eigenvalues. We discuss the existence of the
formal solution of the equations defining the components of the symplectic form
in this framework.Comment: misprints corrected, final interpretation of results give
CHALLENGES AND STAKES OF THE POST-ACQUISITION INTEGRATION PROCESS
Over the last few decades mergers and the acquisitions, both the international and thenational ones, have become strategic instruments of growth and development of enterprises. A sensibleaspect regarding the merger or the acquisition operations is that of integrating the entities had in view.Because it is considered that the high rate of the failure of the operations is due to unsuccessfulintegration of the entities, we have decided to identify the challenges occurring in this phase and thefactors influencing mostly the integration process. Our research tackles aspects regarding thechallenges resulting from a merger or acquisition operation, within the integration phase of the entitiesinvolved. Thus, we analysed the importance of the human and cultural factors and the challengesresulting from this integration process, for we consider that these factors have a strong impact on thepost-acquisition performance and they can ensure the success of the integration. We found that theacquiring firms are affected by changes during the integration process, by retaining the importantresources, the transfer of resources from or to the acquired firms and by eliminating the redundantresources. Yet, in the integration phase, the problems may occur due to human factors, culturalincompatibility and an inappropriate management of the integration process.mergers and acquisitions, post-acquisition integration, organizational culture, human capital
Note on Four Dp-Branes at Angles
In this note we analyse the dynamical potential of a system of four
-branes at arbitrary angles. The equilibrium configurations for various
values of the relative angles and distances among branes are discussed. The
known configurations of parallel branes and brane-antibranes are obtained at
extrema of the dynamical potential.Comment: misprints corrected, a new paragraph added, 11 pages LATe
EUROPEAN CROSS-BORDER MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS- REALITIES AND PERSPECTIVES
This paper analyses the impact of the economic and financial crisis on merger and acquisition activity in Europe and the latest trends manifested on the cross-border merger and acquisition market involving European companies. Thus, a first objective of this research is to reveal the evolution of the European cross-border merger and acquisition activity in terms of dynamics, volume and structure. Another objective of this research is to reveal the short and medium term perspectives on mergers and acquisitions in Europe. Thus, under the continuous economic recovery of the European countries and the other worldwide economies, the recovery of financial markets and the growth of corporate profits, we shall witness an intensive cross-border merger and acquisition activity in Europe. The expansion engine of these operations seems to be represented by the emerging economies. This research is based on a systematic, logical and comparative analysis of scientific literature and statistical data regarding the cross-border mergers and acquisitions that involve European companies in recent years. This paper is part of the doctoral thesis "Mergers and acquisitions- strategies of growth and development of enterprises. European and national particularities", coordinated by professor Ph.D. Alina BÄdulescu from University of Oradea, Faculty of Economics. The doctoral research is supported by The Sectorial Operational Program for Human Resources Development 2007-2013, Contract POSDRU 59/1.5/S/1- "Romanian researchers through modern and efficient doctoral programs".cross-border mergers and acquisitions, firm strategy, external growth, economic and financial crisis, economic recovery
Gravity and Duality between Coordinates and Matter Fields
We use the duality between the local Cartezian coordinates and the solutions
of the Klein-Gordon equation to parametrize locally the spacetime in terms of
wave functions and prepotentials. The components of metric, metric connection,
curvature as well as the Einstein equation are given in this parametrization.
We also discuss the local duality between coordinates and quantum fields and
the metric in this later reparametrization.Comment: 11 pages, REVTeX file, a new paragraph added, to be published in

Graviton spectrum in simplified Dark Matter models with graviton mediators in the de Sitter space
This is the second in a series of papers investigating the formulation of the
simplified Dark Matter models with graviton mediators in cosmological
backgrounds. We address here the crucial problem of the fundamental observable
of interest, namely the graviton spectrum in a FRW cosmological background with
an arbitrary Dark Matter background component. We calculate the correction to
the free graviton two-point function up to the second order in the coupling
constant between the Dark Matter and the graviton in the simplified Dark Matter
model with graviton mediators approach in the de Sitter space. Our result is
model independent in the sense that it does not depend on the particular form
of the Dark Matter fields. Also, due to the universality of the interaction
between the Dark Matter and the graviton, the result obtained here apply to the
interaction between the baryonic matter and the gravitons. As an application,
we discuss in detail the massive scalar Dark Matter model and calculate the
first order correction to the two-point function due to two Dark Matter modes
in the adiabatic regime.Comment: Typos corrected. A new section on the scalar Dark Matter model adde
