A Study on Employment for Rural Laborers in the Process of Industrialization and Modernization of Vietnam

    Get PDF
Employment and job creation are global socio-economic issues and concern every country in the world and Vietnam is no exception. Today, the concept of development is comprehensively understood and economic growth is associated with progress, social justice, poverty reduction, on the basis of creating sustainable jobs for workers. At different times, employments for workers also have different characteristics. In the dimension of this study, employment for rural laborers with the case study of Nam Dinh of Vietnam have been investigated, then some recommendations are proposed for creating more jobs for rural people. Keywords: Employment, job creation, rural employment, rural labor. DOI: 10.7176/EJBM/12-21-13 Publication date:July 31st 202

Persistence probability of a random polynomial arising from evolutionary game theory

In this paper, we obtain an asymptotic formula for the persistence probability in the positive real line of a random polynomial arising from evolutionary game theory. It corresponds to the probability that a multi-player two-strategy random evolutionary game has no internal equilibria. The key ingredient is to approximate the sequence of random polynomials indexed by their degrees by an appropriate centered stationary Gaussian process.Comment: revised versio

Growth, survival and food utilization efficiency of longfin batfish (<em>Platax teira</em> ForsskÄl, 1775) larvae reared under different salinity levels

Salinity is crucial in fish larval rearing. In longfin batfish (Platax teira), little research has been conducted regarding the specific effects of salinity on growth, survival, deformity, and food utilization efficiency. This study aimed to determine the optimal salinity level for larval rearing of the longfin batfish by testing five different salinity levels (10, 15, 20, 25, and 30‰). Larvae of 1.5 cm in length and 0.2 g/fish in weight were stocked in cylindrical fiberglass tanks (300 L) at a density of 1 fish/L. The fish were fed to meet their dietary requirement and divided into four daily feedings. Each treatment was replicated three times over a 28-day period of rearing. The results revealed that salinity significantly influenced the growth (length, weight, biomass), and food utilization efficiency of the longfin batfish larvae. Overall, larvae reared at salinity levels of 15-20‰ exhibited superior performance compared to those exposed to salinity levels of 10, 25, and 30‰. However, salinity did not affect the coefficient of variation, survival, and deformity. From these findings, it is recommended to rear longfin batfish larvae at a salinity of 15-20‰ to achieve optimal growth and food utilization efficiency. This study provides valuable insights for longfin batfish larval rearing guidance, contributing to the aquaculture development of this economically valuable species

Preliminary results of the study on the reasons of the Hai Hau erosion phenomenon

Overall the evolution process of the Red River Delta based on the maps and historical data resulted in a fact that before the 20th century all the Nam Dinh coastline was attributed to accumulation. Then started the erosion process at Xuan Thuydistrict and from the period of 1935 - 1965 the most severe erosion was contributed in the stretch from Ha Lan to Hai Trieu, 1965 - 1990 in Hai Chinh - Hai Hoa, 1990 - 2005 in the middle part of Hai Chinh - Hai Thinh (Hai Hau district). The adjoining stretches were suffered from not severe erosion. At the same time, the Ba Lat mouth is advanced to the sea and to the North and South direction by the time with a very high rate. The first task of the mathematical modeling of coastal line evolution of Hai Hau is to evaluate this important historical marked periods e. g. to model the coastal line at the periods before 1900, 1935 - 1965; 1965 - 1990; 1990 - 2005. The tasks is very complicated and time and working labors consuming. In the paper, the primarily results of the above mentioned simulations (as waves, currents, sediments transports and bottom - coastal lines evolution) has been shown. Based on the obtained results, there is a strong correlation between the protrusion magnitude and the southward moving of the erosion areas

Architecture Parallel for the Renewable Energy System

    Get PDF
This chapter present one possible evolution is the parallel topology on the high-voltage bus for the renewable energy system. The system is not connected to a chain of photovoltaic (PV) modules and the different sources renewable. This evolution retains all the advantages of this system, while increasing the level of discretization of the Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT). So it is no longer a chain of PV modules that works at its MPPT but each PV module. In addition, this greater discretization allows a finer control and monitoring of operation and a faster detection of defects. The main interest of parallel step-up voltage systems, in this case, lies in the fact that the use of relatively high DC voltages is possible in these architectures distributed

DNA barcoding for identification of some fish species (Carangidae) in Vietnam coastal area

    Get PDF
Carangidae family has got about 148 species belonging to 32 genera. In Vietnam, Carangidae is of high commercial value and playing an important role in the ecosystem. In the context Vietnam has received yellow card for seafood since Nov. 2017 by the EU, in which one of the main reasons was related to the restriction of traceability. In this study, DNA barcoding technique of mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase I (COI) gene was used to classify 56 specimens of Carangidae from three coastal areas (Northern, Central and Southern) in Vietnam to evaluate the effectiveness compared to the morphological classification method. Results showed that 21 species belonging to 16 genera were determined by the COI barcode while 18 species (16 genera) were determined when using morphological method. Seriola quinqueradiata and Trachinotus anak were newly recorded in Vietnam. From 56 sequences with 660 bp of mtDNA (COI), total 27 haplotypes were detected; haplotype diversity (h) and nucleotide diversity (π) were 0.903 ± 0.00060 and 0.14%, respectively. The DNA barcodes of COI gene of 21 species in Carangidae which were developed in this study could be used as a basis for comparison and traceability of their products. In addition, the results showed the high potentiality in using COI barcode to identify Carangidae fish in Vietnam

    Vitali's theorem without uniform boundedness

Let {fm}m≄1 be a sequence of holomorphic functions defined on a bounded domain D ⊂ Cn or a sequence of rational functions (1 ≀ deg rm ≀ m) defined on Cn. We are interested infinding sufficient conditions to ensure the convergence of {fm}m≄1 on a large set provided the convergence holds pointwise on a not too small set. This type of result is inspired from a theorem of Vitali which gives a positive answer for uniformly bounded sequence

Analysis of bearing capacity of bored piles from bi-directional load test: A case study in Quang Ngai province

The paper presents the vertical bearing capacity of bored piles from the bi-directional load test (O-Cell method) at the Tra Khuc dam-bridge project in Quang Ngai province. The dam structure was supported by approximately 400 bored piles with the diameter of D1200mm and the length of 27 m to 50 m. The ground includes the sand, clay and weathered rock layers with the SPT index (N30) from 8 to 80. The pile's tips were socketed in the granite layer with the average compressive strength of 18.6 MPa. Two test piles with the length of 29.1 m (T1N) and 42.75 m (T8N) were conducted O-Cell test. The side friction of soil layers and pile tip resistance were analyzed. The axial strain obtained from strain gages were used to analyze the axial load distribution along the depth of the pile. The test results show that the side resistance of the piles in the weathered rock mixed is 77.14 kPa for the pile T1N and 72.34 kPa for the pile T8N (approximately 50% of the total side resistance) which are not the ultimate shaft resistance of the piles in this layer. As its’ advantages, the bi-directional load test could be applied widely in the narrow site or on river condition in Vietnam
