Vlasov analysis of relaxation and meta-equilibrium

The Hamiltonian Mean-Field model (HMF), an inertial XY ferromagnet with infinite-range interactions, has been extensively studied in the last few years, especially due to its long-lived meta-equilibrium states, which exhibit a series of anomalies, such as, breakdown of ergodicity, anomalous diffusion, aging, and non-Maxwell velocity distributions. The most widely investigated meta-equilibrium states of the HMF arise from special (fully magnetized) initial conditions that evolve to a spatially homogeneous state with well defined macroscopic characteristics and whose lifetime increases with the system size, eventually reaching equilibrium. These meta-equilibrium states have been observed for specific energies close below the critical value 0.75, corresponding to a ferromagnetic phase transition, and disappear below a certain energy close to 0.68. In the thermodynamic limit, the μ\mu-space dynamics is governed by a Vlasov equation. For finite systems this is an approximation to the exact dynamics. However, it provides an explanation, for instance, for the violent initial relaxation and for the disappearance of the homogeneous states at energies below 0.68.Comment: 7 pages, 2 figures. Quantum Baker Maps for Spiraling Chaotic Motion

We define a coupling of two baker maps through a pi/2 rotation both in position and in momentum. The classical trajectories thus exhibit spiraling, or loxodromic motion, which is only possible for conservative maps of at least two degrees of freedom. This loxodromic baker map is still hyperbolic, that is, fully chaotic. Quantization of this map follows on similar lines to other generalized baker maps. It is found that the eigenvalue spectrum for quantum loxodromic baker map is far removed from those of the canonical random matrix ensembles. An investigation of the symmetries of the loxodromic baker map reveals the cause of this deviation from the Bohigas-Giannoni-Schmit conjecture

The general objective was to establish the relationship that exists between work motivation and educational quality of the teachers from three private educational institutions within Lima. the design used was non-experimental, cross-sectional, noncausal correlational. The sample consisted of 146 men and women, ranging in age from 25 to 62 years. The instruments used were the Labor Motivational Questionnaire of Steer and Braunstein and Self-evaluation of schools for quality management Questionnaire. Among the main results, it was found that there is a weak and positive relationship between work motivation and educational quality from the perception of teachers from three private educational institutions in Lima. The implications of the findings have been discussed

Analysis of cell-biomaterial interaction through cellular bridge formation in the interface between hGMSCs and CaP bioceramics

The combination of biomaterials and stem cells for clinical applications constitute a great challenge in bone tissue engineering. Hence, cellular networks derived from cells-biomaterials crosstalk have a profound influence on cell behaviour and communication, preceding proliferation and differentiation. The purpose of this study was to investigate in vitro cellular networks derived from human gingival mesenchymal stem cells (hGMSCs) and calcium phosphate (CaP) bioceramic interaction. Biological performance of CaP bioceramic and hGMSCs interaction was evaluated through cell adhesion and distribution, cellular proliferation, and potential osteogenic differentiation, at three different times: 5 h, 1 week and 4 weeks. Results confirmed that hGMSCs met the required MSCs criteria while displaying osteogenic differentiaton capacities. We found a significant increase of cellular numbers and proliferation levels. Also, protein and mRNA OPN expression were upregulated in cells cultured with CaP bioceramic by day 21, suggesting an osteoinductible effect of the CaP bioceramic on hGMSCs. Remarkably, CaP bioceramic aggregations were obtained through hGMSCs bridges, suggesting the in vitro potential of macrostructures formation. We conclude that hGMSCs and CaP bioceramics with micro and macropores support hGMSC adhesion, proliferation and osteogenic differentiation. Our results suggest that investigations focused on the interface cells-biomaterials are essential for bone tissue regenerative therapies
