Comment on "Control landscapes are almost always trap free: a geometric assessment"

We analyze a recent claim that almost all closed, finite dimensional quantum systems have trap-free (i.e., free from local optima) landscapes (B. Russell et.al. J. Phys. A: Math. Theor. 50, 205302 (2017)). We point out several errors in the proof which compromise the authors' conclusion. Interested readers are highly encouraged to take a look at the "rebuttal" (see Ref. [1]) of this comment published by the authors of the criticized work. This "rebuttal" is a showcase of the way the erroneous and misleading statements under discussion will be wrapped up and injected in their future works, such as R. L. Kosut et.al, arXiv:1810.04362 [quant-ph] (2018).Comment: 6 pages, 1 figur

Soliton in Gravitating Gas. Hoag's Object

We explore the possibility of creating of solitons in gravitating gas. It is shown that the virial arguments does not put an obstacle for the existence of localized static solutions. The simplest toroidal soliton of gravitating gas could be the explanation of the peculiar galaxy named Hoag's object.Comment: 14 pages, 1 Figur

Organization, Planning and Control of Marketing Logistics

In the majority of domestic firms physical distribution functions are usually considered to sales. Thus, it is supposed that essential difference between advertising and marketing operations is not available. The marketing logistics as the mechanism of the marketing channel control is concentrated on integration of marketing and logistics functions while maintaining the great value of products and services. In order to evaluate the marketing logistics effectiveness, it is possible to use the concept of “perfect order”. Most companies produce marketing logistics on a functional basis. In its evolution and functional organization of logistics went through three key periods. The first period is characterized by the distribution of logistics functions among the three most major areas of activity: finance, production, and marketing. The second period is characterized by the release of physical distribution functions in an independent direction. Marketing began to implement forecasting sales of finished products, and all other features already belong to physical distribution. It is worth noting that in the second period, the physical distribution of gains recognized on the financing, production and marketing. The third period is characterized by a large extent for the integrated logistics. It is best formed, and in line with market demands structural construction. Also during this period clearly stood out the strategic and operational levels of decision-making. The CEO and the director of logistics make strategic decisions. Static solitons with non-zero Hopf number

We investigate a generalized non-linear O(3) σ\sigma-model in three space dimensions where the fields are maps S3S2S^3 \mapsto S^2. Such maps are classified by a homotopy invariant called the Hopf number which takes integer values. The model exhibits soliton solutions of closed vortex type which have a lower topological bound on their energies. We explicitly compute the fields for topological charge 1 and 2 and discuss their shapes and binding energies. The effect of an additional potential term is considered and an approximation is given for the spectrum of slowly rotating solitons.Comment: 13 pages, RevTeX, 7 Postscript figures, minor changes have been made, a reference has been corrected and a figure replace

ТЕОРЕТИЧЕСКИЕ АСПЕКТЫ МЕХАНИЗМОВ ВЗАИМОДЕЙСТВИЯ В ТРАНСПОРТНЫХ СИСТЕМАХ

The article investigates fundamental mechanisms of the functioning of transport systems. Interaction of participants of transport processes is predetermined by competition and coordinated activities. They can lead to different economic outcomes, but they are always based on interdependent connections and relationships – mechanisms of systemic effects. The authors propose a conceptual model of display of interaction mechanisms that characterizes methodological principles of competition and integration of various transport modes at the transportation market.

[For the English abstract and full text of the article please see the attached PDF-File (English version follows Russian version)].ABSTRACT At the example of a business unit «Passenger transportation» interdependent objectives of Russian Railways holding in respect of improving q u a l i t y o f customer s e r v i c e based on standardization of services are represented. Three matrices of management systems are shown. They describe passenger transportation, services of station complex, information and preparation for a trip. The purposes of international and federal standards, own regulatory framework of Russian Railways, approaches to systematic assessment of quality of services are commented. The latter defines, according to the authors, the selection by a potential customer of a priority mode of transport. Keywords: railway, passenger transportation, standards, quality of service, quality management system, consumer demand, client, service matrix.
