    Cold-Plasma Ablation Use in Endoscopic Endonasal Dacryocystorhinostomy

    The aim is to evaluate efficacy of the method of cold-plasma ablation when performing endonasal of dacryocystorhinostomy. Patients and Methods. With the use of the equipment Coblator II were 31 unilateral dacryocystorhinostomy patients with obstruction of the lacrimal ducts at the level of the lacrimal-nasal duct. After a full examination, including color samples, rinsing and probing of lacrimal ducts, radiographic, and, in some cases, transcanalicular endoscopy, when indicated, was performed endonasal dacryocystorhinostomy with the use of cold-plasma ablation. Using a set of equipment Coblator II performed 31 unilateral cerebral PALSY patients with obstruction of the lacrimal duct at the level of the lacrimal duct. In the postoperative period, antibacterial therapy, lacrimal lavage, full volume washing of the nasal cavity, inhalation of mucolytics and antibiotics with a nebulizer were carried out, lubricants were also used.Results. In the early postoperative period and 1 month after surgery, all patients reported no complaints of lacrimation and purulent discharge. In endorinoscopy, healing was observed by the type of predominant epithelialization, the stoma functioned, when washing the stagnant content in the lacrimal SAC was not. There was a small bleeding intraoperatively and in the early postoperative period.Conclusion. Endoscopic endonasal dacryocystorhinostomy with the use of the method co-ablation is a safe and effective alternative to other methods of holding the endonasal dacryocystorhinostomy. The advantages are the ease of implementation, no need for additional, including power tools (pliers, cutting head of a shaver, rasp, etc.) for removal of soft tissue in the area formed dacryocystectomy, good visualization due to the coagulating effect of the cold-plasma ablation, the possibility of gentle removal of even the hypertrophied wall of the lacrimal SAC.     Развитие строительной индустрии характеризуется поиском новых конструкций, видов сообщений материалов из которых они изготавливаются. Такие тенденции требуют от ученых создания и исследования новых строительных конструкций и материалов. Разработан пример создания расчетной схемы в программном комплексе SCAD для класса конструкций с вынесенным рабочим армированием дает возможность получить поля напряжений Nx., Nу ,, ху, перемещений элементов и выявить характер работы предложенной конструкции. На основе полученных данных выявить слабые места предложенной конструкции и принять меры, по их устранению.Розвиток будівельної індустрії характеризується пошуком нових конструкцій, видів сполучень матеріалів з яких вони виготовляються. Такі тенденції потребують від науковців створення та дослідження нових будівельних конструкцій та матеріалів. Розроблений приклад створення розрахункової схеми у програмному комплексі SCAD для класу конструкцій з винесеним робочим армуванням дає можливість отримати поля напружень Nx., Nу,, ху, переміщень елементів та виявити характер роботи запропонованої конструкції. На основі отриманих даних виявити слабкі місця запропонованої конструкції та вжити заходи, щодо їх усунення.

    Experimental study of discharge with liquid non-metallic (tap-water) electrodes in air at atmospheric pressure

    The discharge with liquid non-metallic electrodes (DLNME) was investigated. The discharge burnt steadily with a DC power supply between two streams of weakly conducting liquid (tap water) in open air at atmospheric pressure. The metallic current leads were inserted into the streams and were covered by a 5 mm thick water layer. The discharge burnt in volumetric (diffuse) form with fairly high voltage (~3 kV between leads) and low current density (~0.2-0.25 A cm-2). The plasma state in the inter-electrode gap was studied by spectroscopy, microwave sounding and electrical probe technique. The rotational and vibrational temperatures of N2 electronically excited molecules were measured. The absolute radiation values of different species were obtained as a function of position in the gap. The electric field E and the concentration of charged particles were obtained. The value of parameter E/Ng was estimated (Ng being the gas concentration). The density of water vapour in the discharge column was estimated. The results obtained show that DLNME generate molecular plasma at high pressure but out of thermal equilibrium. The properties of DLNME make it promising for various engineering applications, including those in plasma chemistry

    The discharge established between two liquid non-metallic electrodes (DLNME) is investigated. This d.c. discharge burns between two streams of tap water in open air at atmospheric pressure in diffuse form. In the plasma column two zones are defined: one close to the near-cathode and the other one close to the near-anode regions of the discharge. In each zone, the composition, massic enthalpy, volumetric emissivity of N2(2+) spectral band (376-380 nm), hydrogen spectral line (Hα) and triplet oxygen spectral lines (777 nm) have been calculated in non-equilibrium conditions. The comparison with experimental results allows determining the ratio between translational temperature of electrons and that of heavy species and an upper limit of the air humidity in both zones. This type of calculation describes satisfactorily the previously obtained experimental result
