GREEN SYNTHESIS OF NANOSTRUCTURED ZINC PARTICLES USING AQUEOUS LEAF EXTRACT OF SCHREBERA SWIETENIOIDES ROXB. AND THEIR CATALYTIC APPLICATION IN DEGRADATION OF METHYL ORANGE, CRYSTAL VIOLET DYES AND CHROMIUM METAL
Objective: The present work was aimed to synthesized the zinc nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) using aqueous leaf extract of Schrebera swietenioides Roxb., and further, the green-synthesized ZnO NPs were studied for its efficacy in the degradation of hazardous dyes like methyl orange, crystal violet and hazardous metal such as chromium.
Methods: The ZnO NPs were synthesized using aqueous leaf extract of S. swietenioides Roxb., as a green reducing agent and 0.1 M Zinc acetate as metal source and the NPs synthesis was completed within a short period of 6 h. The ZnO NPs synthesized were characterized using SEM, TEM, EDS, XRD, FT-IR and UV-visible spectrophotometer. Further, the synthesized NPs were applied for reduction of pollutant days such as methyl orange, crystal violet and pollutant metal chromium.
Results: The synthesis of NPs was monitored by observing the color change in the reaction mixture and UV visible spectral analysis. The UV spectral analysis shows a characteristic absorption wavelength at 379 nm. The synthesized NPs were hexagonal wurtzite form crystals having a spherical shape with rough surfaces with an average size of 68 nm and having 73.7 % of zinc content. At a NPs dose of 1.0 g/l the photocatalytic reduction was observed as 85.33±0.02 %, 86.82±0.095 % and 86.73±0.104 % for crystal violet dye, methyl orange dye and chromium metal, respectively. The NPs shows a high % photocatalytic reduction of chromium metal, crystal violet dye and methyl orange dye with less contact time confirms that the synthesized ZnO NPs were effectively catalyzed the degradation of methyl orange, crystal violet dyes and chromium metal. The NPs were observed to be recyclable and can shows high reduction activity after the completion of three cycles of degradation.
Conclusion: Hence it can be concluded that synthesized greener nanocatalyst was efficient for pollutant treatment and demonstrated the power of green biosynthesis for metallic nanoparticles

THE WOUND HEALING PROPERTY OF THYME OLEORESIN FROM THYMUS VULGARIS L. ON HACAT KERATINOCYTES
Objective: The objective of the present study was to evaluate the wound healing property of thyme oleoresin using HaCaT keratinocytes.Methods: The effect of thyme oleoresin on cell migratory activity of HaCaT keratinocytes was investigated and analyzed using scratch assay. The HaCaT cell line was obtained from NCCS Pune and maintained in Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Media. The keratinocyte cells (HaCaT) were trypsinized for 30 s and passaged to T25 flasks in complete aseptic environment. The effect of thyme oleoresin on wound closure was determined using a 12-well plate. Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's medium with dimethyl sulfoxide was used as control. The effect of thyme oleoresin on wound closure was determined microscopically at 20× magnification using Nikon microscope. The experiment was performed in triplicate. The wound area was photographed and analyzed.Results: Thyme oleoresin at 25 μg/ml and 50 μg/ml has significantly promoted the migration of HaCaT cells, thereby leading to wound closure.Conclusion: The study has proved the wound healing property of thyme oleoresin, and hence, it may be used for wound healing purpose in a natural way

Radar Target Characteristics Extraction using Polarization Scattering Matrix
Now a day’s characterization of targets using radar is very important in Air Traffic Control, Defense, and Stealth etc. In order to know the characteristics of the target it is very essential to know the polarization properties of that particular target which depends upon scattering nature of the target. The polarization properties are important for radar target besides amplitude, phase and frequency. The polarization may be potentially used to improve target detection, anti-interference, and radar target recognition. Polarization properties of a target can be obtained using polarization scattering matrix (PSM). In this paper the polarization matrix of various geometrical shapes are derived. For radar target recognition (RTR), a method using properties of the polarization scattering matrix (PPSM) is presented in this paper. A dipole has been considered to calculate the polarization matrix and polarization properties. The properties of the polarization scattering matrix: the determinant, Trace of Power Scattering Matrix, Depolation, Eigen polarization angle and Module of Polarization Ellipticity are analyzed. Giant intermuscular lipoma of neck and chest: a case report with review of literature
Intermuscular lipoma is an uncommon benign tumor. In this case report we described a case of a patient with intermuscular lipoma located between sternocleidomastoid, pectoralis and scalene muscles on left side. These types of tumors are exceedingly rare in head and neck regions. Intermuscular lipomas are thought to arise from the Intermuscular septa and enlarge between muscle bundles. Clinical data, investigations, Magnetic Resonance Imaging scan confirm the diagnosis. These tumours are more common in males than females. Complete surgical excision of tumor is the treatment of choice. It is crucial for the surgeon to consider deep lipomas when dealing with soft tissue tumors
