    Prevalence of carbohydrate metabolism disorders in patients with end-stage renal disease on hemodialysis therapy

    There are quite a lot of scientific works today dedicated to the role of disorders carbohydrate metabolism (DCM) in the development of end-stage renal disease (ESRD), at the same time, the influence of chronic kidney disease (CKD) on the development of carbohydrate disorders remains insufficiently studied, especially in patients on renal replacement therapy (RRT). TheΒ annual steady increase in the number of patients with ESRD without diabetes mellitus (DM) requiring dialysis therapy leads to increased interest and the need to study carbohydrate status in these patients. It is known that hyperglycemia in patients without DM on hemodialysis (HD) is a predisposing factor to the development of cardiovascular accidents that worsen the quality of life and also increase mortality. The peculiarities of glucose metabolism in patients receiving RRT do not always allow adequate assessment of carbohydrate status using glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c). The review provides up-to-date information on the prevalence of DCM in patients with ESRD without DM receiving HD RRT, touches upon the peculiarities of glucose metabolism, interpretation of HbA1c and glycated albumin values, and mortality risk in hemodialysis patients with various DCM

    The estimation of efficiency of psychohygienic work with pregnant and feeding women of the Satkinskiy area of the Chelyabinsk region

    The article represents the results of the estimation of pregnant women’s gestational dominants in the Chelyabinsk region, an interrelation of the type of a psychological component of a gestational dominant with medicobiologic factors and babies’ state of health, efficiency of psychocorrectional work with pregnant women is estimated. It is established that 45,8 % of women make a risk group of an early refusal from chest feeding and demand regular psychocorrectional work at a stage of pregnancy for successful chest feeding. Within the women of successful type of PCGD complications of pregnancy and childbirth were seldom registered, optimum terms of the first applying of the newborn to a breast and duration of chest feeding, optimum indicators of babies’ health were marked.     Many physicians have difficulty managing patients with vertigo. Incorrect routine diagnoses are frequently made in patients with peripheral vestibulopathy, which makes therapy fail. Most cases of vestibular vertigo are caused by peripheral vestibular disorders (otolithiasis, hydrops, neuronitis). Rehabilitation maneuvers are effective in the treatment of benign paroxysmal positional dizziness; salt-free diet, diuretics, and betahistine dihydrochloride are for MОniПre’s disease (syndrome); vestibular rehabilitation is for vestibular neuronitis. Betahistine dihydrochloride is most effective among all the medicines used in different causes of vestibular vertigo, including that of unclear origin. The paper gives the positive experience with betahistine made in Russia for vestibular vertigo

Structural-age-related changes of the population of Ukraine on the example of the graphic of deformation of a pyramid 2001 year Π°re considered. It is established that considerable scales of structural deformations: negative deviations in age pyramids, are connected by considerable losses of the population and the corresponding demographic waves. The technique of the quantitative analysis of gender and age pyramids is developed and approved. The reasons of negative and positive deformations both in Ukraine as a whole and in its regions are analyzed. Regions on intensity and amplitude structurally-age deformations are systematized.     The possibility of differentiation in vitro of mouse bone marrow stromal cells into progenitor of neuronal cells has been shown with condition of specific medias and some inductors using for cultivation.Reparation on tissue level was more active in mice with experimental ischemia of brain after transformed into neural cells bone marrow stromal cells transplantation.The analysis of clinical efficiency of transformed into neural cells autologous bone marrow stromal cells transplantation has been carried out in patients with stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, after-effects of a toxic, traumatic, infective impairment of a nervous system. The results of patients with stroke treatment depended on the disease duration and method of grafting. The efficiency of transformed into neuronal cells autologous bone marrow stromal cells transplantation in patients with Parkinson’s disease depended on the severity degree of the disease, in patients with multiple sclerosis β€” from degree of disability (scale EDSS). This method is perspective in treatment of after-effects of a toxic, infective impairment of a nervous system, epilepsy.     The possibility of differentiation in vitro of mouse bone marrow stromal cells into progenitor of neuronal cells has been shown with condition of specific medias and some inductors using for cultivation.Reparation on tissue level was more active in mice with experimental ischemia of brain after transformed into neural cells bone marrow stromal cells transplantation.The analysis of clinical efficiency of transformed into neural cells autologous bone marrow stromal cells transplantation has been carried out in patients with stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, after-effects of a toxic, traumatic, infective impairment of a nervous system. The results of patients with stroke treatment depended on the disease duration and method of grafting. The efficiency of transformed into neuronal cells autologous bone marrow stromal cells transplantation in patients with Parkinson’s disease depended on the severity degree of the disease, in patients with multiple sclerosis β€” from degree of disability (scale EDSS).     Combined influence of teichoic acids from Staphylococcus aureus and heterometallik Cu/Cd ethylenediamine complex on peritoneal macrophages and tumor cells

    We investigated the effects of teichoic acid (TA) from Staphylococcus aureus Wood 46 on tumor growth and metastasis of the experimental Lewis lung carcinoma (LLC) in mice. Intranasal administration of TA alone aggravated both tumor growth and metastasis, whereas combined administration of TA with a synthetic bimetallic (copper: cadmium) ethylene diamine complex PO244 resulted in pronounced antitumor and antimetastatic effects. The group of animals subjected to the combined treatment with TA and PO244 manifested the highest degree of lymphocyte infiltration into the tumor tissue, compared to the control group and those exposed to TA or PO244 alone. Moreover, the combined treatment negatively affected the adhesive properties of peritoneal macrophages in the LLC bearing mice.
