About prisoners and dictators: the role of other-self focus, social value orientation, and sterotype primes in shaping cooperative behavior.

Six experiments examined the effects of person factors (i.e., social value orientation and consistency) and situation factors (i.e., stereotype primes) on cooperative behavior in various experimental games. Results indicated that the main and joint influences of person and situation factors on cooperative choices depend on the nature of the game (i.e., prisoner's dilemma or dictator game). Social value orientation, consistency, and primes affect cooperative behavior only in a dictator game, while these factors also lead to rumination about partner's behavioral intentions and personality (and therefore to different cooperative choices) in a prisoner's dilemma game. Analysis of Cost-Price Squeeze in Broiler Production Enterprise in Uyo Agricultural Zone of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria

This study aimed at Analyzing the Cost-Price Squeeze in Broiler Production Enterprises in Uyo Agricultural Zone of Akwa Ibom State. Specifically,  the study aimed at comparing the trends in feed costs and broiler meat prices in the study area.  The study relied on monthly secondary data from the Akwa Ibom State Agricultural Development Project, complemented with primary data from some long standing feed merchants from January 2000 to December 2011. Agricultural price indices (API) and Ordinary Least Square (OLS) trend estimation procedure were adopted as analytical tools in the study.  On the average, cost of broiler feeds increased by 2%, broiler meat increased by 1.3% per quarter. The index of prices received by broiler and index of cost paid out for feeds was consistently below 1 indicating the existence of cost-price squeeze in the broiler production enterprise.  The result of the estimated regression parameters indicate a greater increase in broiler feed costs, relative to broiler meat prices.  The research shows the existence of cost-price squeeze phenomenon in the broiler enterprise in the study area. The study recommends initiatives that would reduce the cost of poultry feed and/or boost the price of poultry products. Observation of Instabilities of Coherent Transverse Ocillations in the Fermilab Booster

The Fermilab Booster - built more than 40 years ago - operates well above the design proton beam intensity of 4x10**12 ppp. Still, the Fermilab neutrino experiments call for even higher intensity of 5.5x10**12 ppp. A multitude of intensity related effects must be overcome in order to meet this goal including suppression of coherent dipole instabilities of transverse oscillations which manifest themselves as a sudden drop in the beam current. Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Talking Stick Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Pkn Siswa Kelas IV a Sdn 161 Pekanbaru

This study aims to improve students learning outcomes in civic studies for grade IV A SDN 161 Pekanbaru, through the application of cooperative learning models of talking stick. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). Subject in this study were students as much as of grade IV A SDN 161 Pekanbaru in academic year of 2015/2016. And the number of students as 35 people. Instrument used in thisresearch are observational sheet and test in the last cycle. This research was conducted in two cycle. From the analysis of the data the researched found that there is an improvement in student learning outcomes. This increase is evident from the results of student learning before using model talking stick is 68,85 square on the second cycle increased a 79,28. On the basic value there was only 16 (54,28%) students who achieve the learning mastery . in the first cycle, the student who achieve the learning mastery were increased. It was about 14,29% from the basic value, it rached 21 (60%) students . On the second cycle the student who achieve the learning mastery were increased about 30 (25,71%) from the first cycle., become 85,71%. The same thing also happened to the students learning activities. In the first cycle, students learning activities is 68,75% and on the second cycle, students learning activities were increased about 18,75%from the first cycle, become 87,50%. Based on the analysis of data of this study it can be concluded that the use og Talking Stick in Cooperative Learning Model can improve students learning outcomes and learning activities for grade student of IV A SDN 161 Pekanbaru

Pemanfataan Data Equatorial Atmosphere Radar (Ear) Dalam Mengkaji Terjadinya Monsun Di Kawasan Barat Indonesia(the Valuable of Equatorial Atmosphere Radar (Ear) Data to Study Monsoon in the West Area Indonesia)

Kototabang, Padang Panjang and Sicincin city are area in the West part of Indonesia and they are relative in the equator line. Otherwise, three of these cities have difference of behaviors of rainfall for Monsoon. In this study, we were used EAR Data, which were including the rainfall Kototabang, Padangpanjang, and Sicincin. Base on this data (i.e EAR data) in Kototabang, there is monsoon in 8-18 km layer and the higher monsoon is in 14 km layer during the April 2002-April 2006 period. Analisis Power Spectral Density (PSD) and Transformasi wavelet were shown that Monsoon oscillation around 12 months. While vertical profile was presented that the stronger monsoon will be in the wet weather on January. The domination of wind in Kototabang city is South Wind, it is because the wind took water vapor mass from South to North. According to analysis of rainfall in Kototabang, Padangpanjang and Sicincin City, meridional wind in the the Sicincin has rainfall pattern the same as with monsoon. Its was indicated that there were local indicator which can cause the monsoon. From the cross correlation between meridionial wind speed with rainfall in Kototabang, Pontianak and Sicincin, they were shown that three of these cities have significant correlation

Kondisi Perusahaan Perikanan di Kota Bitung Pasca Moratorium 2014

North Sulawesi is one of the provinces in Indonesia which have large fisheries potential. The province has made the results of operations and marine fisheries as one of the featured products to spur increase revenue. Then formulated some questions that become problems in this study 1). How is the post-moratorium fishing company in Bitung 2). Is this moratorium policy implementation can enhance the progress of the fishing company in Bitung 3). How do enterprise solutions to meet the needs of the company, when applied moratorium on fishing in Bitung.This study aims to 1) .To obtain scientific data about the condition of the fishing company Post moratorium on fishing in Bitung 2) .To determine the effect of the implementation of the moratorium policy of the condition of the fishing company in Bitung. The method used in this research case study approach. Retrieval of data taken in two fishing companies, namely PT. Sari Tuna Makmur and PT. Blue Ocean Grace International in Bitung City District of Aertembaga, data collection is done by observation and in-depth interviews. 1.Conditions fishing company in Bitung post-moratorium by the Minister of Marine and Fisheries in November 2014 are as follows: a) The number of vessels decreased from 3,213 in 2014 to 2,222 in 2015 and then rose to 3,165 in 2016. b) Production of fish reduced from 111,315.53 in 2014 to 45208.52 in 2015 then production rises, namely 46522.77 2016. c) The increase in the market price of skipjack Winenet, Girian and TPI of the normal price 12500-14000, in 2014 rose to 17000-20000 in 2015 and 2016. As for the Tuna from the standard price of 32000-35000 in 2014 and rose to 50000-55000 in 2015 and 2016. Then for the fish Deho from 5000-8000 at the normal price in 2014, rose to 9000-12000 in 2015, and rose to 12,000-15,000 in 2016. d) Increased export of fishery company PT. STM of 196,034.50 in 2014 to 294,911.4 in 2015 and falling back to 200,403.95 in 2016. e) The increase in exports of fishery company PT. Bogi of 116,196.20 in 2015 to 285,797.3 in 2016. 2. Moratorium Policy turn out to be a positive impact on the company\u27s progress fishery indicated by the decline in the economic sector in Bitung. 3. It was not able to improve the progress of the fishing company in the city of Bitung in general and in particular. 1. moratorium greatly affect the fishing company therefore Policy Minister about the moratorium should be revoked. 2. This study still needs further research is therefore suggested that interested readers can conduct advanced research
