Teaching Vocabulary Using Audiovisual Aids at the First Grade Students of SDN 2 Sawahan In 2014/2015 Academic Year: A Classroom Action Research

The teaching English vocabulary in Elementary School was different from teaching in Junior High School or Senior High School. The teacher needs some audiovisual and visual aids to catch the students’ attention. This study is aimed at describing the procedures of teaching vocabulary using audiovisual aids, its result to the students and for explaining the advantages and disadvantages of teaching English using audiovisual aids. The teaching learning process was conducted by using Classroom Action Research (CAR). The result of teaching English vocabulary using audiovisual aids for the first grade students of SDN 2 Sawahan improved. The entire student showed with their participation in learning English, their score was also better and the class became happy and fun. The advantages of teaching English using audiovisual aids are: 1) the teacher could control the classroom situation easily; 2) the teacher could teach the students easily; 3) the students could be interested in learning English; 4) the students could know how to spell the words correctly; 5) the teaching-learning process became funny and happy, and 6) the students became active. The disadvantages of teaching English vocabulary using audiovisual aids are: 1) the teacher took more time to prepare the projector; 2) the teacher could not teach using audiovisual everyday; 3) the teaching-leaning process could not run well if the electrical power went down, and 4) the teaching-learning could not run well if the teacher didn’t understand how to use the audiovisual aids

Pengukuran Faktor Emisi Gas Karbon Monoksida (CO) Dan Karbon Dioksida (CO2) Pada Asap Mainstream Rokok Non Filter

Pengukuran faktor emisi karbon monoksida (CO) dan karbon dioksida (CO2) pada asap mainstream rokok non filter ditentukan dari pengukuran konsentrasi gas CO dan CO2, menghitung luas penampang dan kecepatan pompa hisap alat. Penelitian ini menggunakan Gas Analyser Stargas Mode 898 dalam kotak chamber dengan dimensi 30 x 20 x 20 cm3. Mainstream smoke adalah asap yang muncul dari ujung mulut rokok selama dihisap. Pompa hisap rokok merupakan alat yang digunakan untuk menghisap rokok yang sudah ditentukan kecepatan hisapnya sesuai kecepatan hisap perokok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa besar faktor emisi CO2 pada asap mainstream rokok non filter lebih besar daripada faktor emisi CO. Faktor emisi gas CO asap mainstream rokok non filter ditemukan pada kisaran 14 mg/batang sampai 20 mg/batang, sedangkan faktor emisi asap gas CO2 mainstream rokok non filter antara 90 mg/batang dan 116 mg/batang

Background: Conversion of Acid Fast Bacilli (AFB) can predict treatmentoutcome of tuberculosis patient. AFB conversion affected by many factorssuch as age, gender, and sputum grading. The aims of this study is find therelationship between age, gender, sputum grading with AFB conversion intuberculosis patients in UP4 Pontianak. Metodology: This research wasanalytic study with cross sectional design that conducted in UP4 Pontianakwith 73 samples taken from medical record and analysed by Chi-Square test.Result: There was not significant relationship between age (p = 0,362) andgender (p = 0,366) with AFB conversion. There was a significant relationshipbetween sputum grading (p = 0,01) with AFB conversion. Conclusion:sputum grading influence AFB conversion

Kecemasan Bertanding Ditinjau Dari Persepsi Terhadap Gaya Kepemimpinan Pelatih: Studi Pada Atlet Pencak Silat Se-kota Semarang

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara gaya kepemimpinan pelatih dengan kecemasan bertanding pada atlet Pencak Silat se-kota Semarang. Gaya kepemimpinan pelatih adalah persepsi atlet mengenai perilaku seorang pemimpin atau pelatih dalam mengembangkan kemampuan atlet untuk memaksimalkan performa mereka. Kecemasan bertanding adalah respon psikologis terhadap keadaan yang belum terjadi dalam pertandingan yang ditunjukkan oleh atlet berupa gejala fisik,kognitif, dan perilaku sebelum atlet bertanding. Populasi penelitian terdiri atas 271 atlet yang mengikuti Walikota Cup pada 15-17 Juni 2015, dan sampel penelitian adalah 78 atlet yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan quota sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan dua skala psikologi yaitu skala kecemasan bertanding dengan 23 aitem valid (α = .829) dan skala persepsi terhadap gaya kepemimpinan pelatih dengan 25 aitem valid (α =.886). Hipotesis yang diajukan adalah adanya hubungan negatif antara gaya kepemimpinan pelatih dan kecemasan bertanding. Analisis regresi sederhana menunjukkan koefisien korelasi (rxy= -.514; p<.05), artinya terdapat hubungan negatif dan signifikan antara gaya kepemimpinan pelatih dengan kecemasan bertanding. Sumbangan efektif gaya kepemimpinan pelatih terhadap kecemasan bertanding pada atlet silat sebesar 26.4% dan sisanya 73.6 % dijelaskan oleh faktor-faktor lain

Konsep Permukiman Tanggap Kebakaran Di Banjarmasin (Studi Kasus: Kelurahan Kelayan Tengah)

Kelurahan Kelayan Tengah merupakan salah satu kawasan yang sering dilanda kebakaran di Kota Banjarmasin. Kondisi permukiman yang padat didukung suhu yang tinggi, serta penggunaan kayu sebagai material utama bangunan menyebabkan api cepat merambat bila terjadi kebakaran. Struktur jalan yang sempit pun mempersulit proses evakuasi. Oleh sebab itu, perlu dilakukan kajian mengenai perancangan dan penataan fisik permukiman yang dapat berperan sebagai upaya preventif dari bencana kebakaran. Berdasar pertimbangan tersebut, dilakukan studi ini dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan konsep permukiman tanggap kebakaran di Kelurahan Kelayan Tengah yang dapat menjadi masukan untuk penataan permukiman di Banjarmasin. Metode pengamatan non-participant dilakukan untuk mengumpulkan data primer dan sekunder mengenai kondisi fisik eksisting yang kemudian dilakukan analisa. Proses analisa dilakukan dengan metode analisis campuran pada data kondisi fisik eksisting dengan mempertimbangkan kondisi non fisik (sosial dan budaya). Sehingga didapatkan kriteria dan konsep desain permukiman tanggap kebakaran termasuk di dalamnya konsep bangunan dan kawasan yang sesuai dengan kondisi masyarakat setempat

Pengaruh Metode Pengukuran Intellectual Capital Berbasis Pasar dan Nilai Tambah terhadap Kinerja Pasar dan Kinerja Keuangan Perusahaan (Studi Kasus pada Perusahaan Manufaktur yang Terdaftar di Bei Tahun 2007-2011)

The purpose this study is to compare measurement approach of intellectual capital by market based and efficiency of value added and investigate the association between intellectual capital to corporate market performance and three profitability dimensions of financial company\u27s performance: ROA, ROE, and EPS. This study used quantitative method on financial statement of manufactures listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange during 5 years period from 2007 until 2011. Three hundred and ninety four companies were collected using purposive sampling method in this study.It is empirical study using PLS for the data analysis. The findings show that : IC which measured by market based influences positively to corporate market performance and financial company\u27s performance. The other method of IC measured by value added intellectual coefficient- VAIC influences positively to corporate market value and financial company\u27s performance. For comparison between measurement approach of IC, VAIC more accurate for investigate the association between IC and corporate market performance and financial company\u27s performance rather than market based approach
