    The ban on using triclosan as an antiseptic in bath soap in various countries has given rise to new ideas to apply natural ingredients as an alternative. Curd kefir, as a natural ingredient, can be used as an alternative antiseptic. In this study, the manufacturing of tallow-based soap has been developed by adding kefir curd as an antiseptic to improve the soap's quality and inhibit the growth of Escherichia coli. The results showed no significant difference in the soap's free alkali content, saponification number, and hardness.     : The purpose of this study was to determine the program, implementation, follow-up and the obstacles faced by principals in the implementation of academic supervision in improving the professional competence of teachers. This study used descriptive qualitative approach. The technique of data collection used were observation, interviews, and documentation. Subjects of study were principals, vice-principals, teachers and supervisors. Data were analyzed with data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing and verification. The results showed that: 1) Programs are arranged at the beginning of each school year based on the results of the follow-up implementation of supervision in the previous year based on the instructions given by the Department of Education. Teachers were not fully involved in setting the programs and it was planned twice in one semester. 2) Implementation of supervision begins with socialization activities for teachers and pre-observation meeting. Supervision activities were carried out by providing guidance and direction on the preparation of learning tools, learning implementation and evaluation of learning through meetings, discussions, individual meetings and classroom observations. Principal recorded all activities on a classroom observation on instrument sheet that will be used as input and consideration for guidance in improving teachers' professional competence. 3) Follow-up is done through discussions between principals and teachers to provide feedback from the results of classroom observation. Results of follow-up were concluded with concrete steps contextually as a way out of the problems faced by teachers in the learning process and as an improvement in the future to improve the quality of learning. 4) Obstacles faced were the supervision schedule was often shifted, the use of teaching methods were still centered on the teacher, the teacher felt clumsy when supervised and teachers were less active in seeking new information about learning

    : In this globalization era and the development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). moving so fast, and the system requires all educational settings to adjust well, vision, mission, objectives and strategies for the achievement of quality education and quality. One way to carry out the management of learning the Arabic language based on the Information Technology at Arabic Department of Tarbiyah Faculty IAIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire interview and observation documentation. Based on the results of the study indicate that the Arabic lecturers at Arabic Department of Tarbiyah Faculty IAIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh who taught in the classroom is not yet entirely in the form of lesson planning Lectures Events Unit. properly in Microsoft Word typing Arabic. In the implementation of learning show that in opening the lesson, explaining the lecture material, mostly Arabic professors are capable and proficient in doing well, especially in the setting up of learning support tools such as leptop, flash, infokus, wifi internet and online services. The results of the assessments through observation of student is not good. The results of interviews with lecture in the Arabic Tarbiyah Faculty IAIN AR-Raniry Banda Aceh, indicates that not all working to improve the evaluation of learning in the classroom, because the assessment is the evaluation process and the product.     : Style principals strongly influence the behavior of subordinates, but if subordinate behavior may not necessarily be able to influence the behavior of their superiors. Principal\u27s leadership style is a consistent pattern of behavior shown by the leader and the other party known as a leader trying to influence the activities of others. The purpose of the study to determine the leadership style of the principal, including: (1) Discipline; (2) Commitment; (3) Ability and (4) The responsibility of the teacher. Qualitative approach with descriptive methods, data collection techniques performed with interview guides, observation, and study documentation. Subjects were principals, teachers and supervisors in SD Negeri 7 Muara Dua Lhoksuemawe. The results of the study found: (1) the principal\u27s style of leadership in promoting the discipline of teachers, is a style of informing (telling), in addition to telling style, principals also apply situational style; (2) the principal\u27s leadership style in improving teacher commitment is selling styles (consultative) by directing the teacher to complete the task; (3) the principal\u27s leadership style to improve the ability of teachers, namely the implementation of a participative style during an internal meeting board of teachers and other meetings; and (4) the principal\u27s style of leadership in improving the teacher\u27s responsibility, is to force the sharing discretionary authority to the members of the organization to carry out the task.     RADIO PROPAGATION MODELING OF JOS SUBURBS AT 900MHZ USING AN ADAPTIVE NEURO-FUZZY INFERENCE SYSTEM

    This study investigates radio propagation modeling of the suburbs of Jos, Nigeria, at an operating frequency of 900MHz, using an Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) Technique. Path loss values computed based on received power measurements obtained from Base Transceiver Stations situated across the suburbs of the city were used to train, validate and test the ANFIS model for capacity to predict path loss. Results indicated that the ANFIS model with a Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) value of 4.74dB offers an improvement in prediction accuracy over the COST 231 Hata model, which has an RMSE value of 5.90dB

    Direct Fed microbials (DFM) is a product of non-pathogenic live microorganisms that is beneficial when given to humans or livestock to improve livestock health, feed conversion efficiency and perfomance by suppressing pathogenic microorganisms in the digestive tract and influencing the balance of intestinal microbes. This study aims to provide information about the potential of Lactobacillus plantarum FNCC 0020 as a DFM agent. This study used a descriptive experimental method. Parameters observed included resistance tests to acid pH (5, 3, 2), pH 7 were also tested to determine resistance to neutral pH. The ability of Lactobacillus plantarum FNCC 0020 to survive at room temperature with different incubation times (5, 7, 10 days) were also tested to determine the storability of Lactobacillus plantarum FNCC 0020 inoculum at room temperature.. The results showed that Lactobacillus plantarum FNCC 0020 had resistance to the lowest pH (2) and also survived at neutral pH (7) with a total colony of 2.25 x 108 and .3 x 107 CFU mL-1, respectively. Lactobacillus plantarum FNCC 0020 inoculum can be stored at room temperature for up to 10 days and still has a total colony of 3.8 x 107 CFU mL-1.Direct Fed microbials (DFM) merupakan suatu produk mikroorganisme hidup non patogen yang menguntungkan jika diberikan pada manusia atau ternak untuk memperbaiki kesehatan ternak, efesiensi konversi ransum dan laju pertumbuhan dengan cara menekan mikroorganisme patogen dalam saluran pencernaan dan mempengaruhi keseimbangan mikroba usus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi tentang potensi Lactobacillus plantarum FNCC 0020 sebagai agensia DFM. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode eksperimen secara deskriptif. Parameter yang diamati meliputi uji ketahanan terhadap pH asam ( 5, 3, 2), pH 7 juga turut diujikan untuk mengetahui ketahanan pada pH netral. Kemampuan Lactobacillus plantarum FNCC 0020 bertahan pada suhu ruang dengan lama waktu inkubasi berbeda (5, 7, 10 hari) juga diuji untuk mengetahui daya simpan inokulum Lactobacillus plantarum FNCC 0020 pada suhu ruang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Lactobacillus plantarum FNCC 0020 memiliki ketahanan terhadap pH terendah (2) dan masih bertahan pula pada pH netral (7) dengan total koloni 2.25 x 108, dan 1.3 x 107 CFU mL-1 secara berturut – turut. Inokulum Lactobacillus plantarum FNCC 0020 dapat disimpan pada suhu ruang hinga 10 hari masih memiliki total koloni 3,8 x 107 CFU mL-1

    Weight Loss Corrosion Study of Some Metals in Acid Medium

    This research was undertaken to examine the corrosion behavior of some metals in different acid solutions using weight loss technique. The magnitude of corrosion of these metals in 0.5 Γ’β‚¬β€œ 3.0 M of solutions of HCl, H2SO4, and HNO3 was studied for an exposure period of 100 minutes (at 20 minutes interval). Rate of corrosion in metals followed this order: zinc > galvanized iron > copper >, while rate of corrosion in aqueous media followed this order: HNO3 > H2SO4 > HCl. It has been obtained that concentration increase leads to increase in rate of corrosion. Further study on the corrosion kinetics has revealed that the rate of reaction of the metals increases with increase in solution concentration, while the half life decreases with increase in solution concentration

Unfortunately, a previsit to the school has revealed a lack of facilities and computer skill among students and school facilities. This paper examines a training program held by members of Technical Faculty of Unisba to fill the lack of skill. A training program focused on Microsoft Excel Application for topography mapping was conducted. After the program being held, the skill of training participants in acknowledging, comprehending, and applying Microsoft Excel Application for Topography Mapping was increasing 58.33%. But surfer operating skill for topography mapping was still markedly low

The results showed that: (1) The work program for the supervision of teaching principals at SMAN 1 Darul Imarah Aceh Besar District and SMAN Peukan Bada Aceh Besar District already has a good design for a period of one year to the next and reformulated in the years for future; (2) The supervision of teaching adopted by the heads of High School 1 Darul Imarah Aceh Besar District implemented an indirect approach, while the head of High School Peukan Bada Aceh Besar District using the direct approach; and (3) The principal constraints encountered in implementation of the teaching supervision, among others: (a) the supervision of the teaching approach, the least time owned by the principal making it difficult to supervise the implementation of the agenda, (b) technical supervision of teaching, more attention to the psychological aspects of teacher and these factors will determine the course of implementation of the program of teaching supervision, and (c) the teacher\u27s behavior at the time of supervision of teaching, teachers conditions are very varied and highly dependent on the technique used by the principal
