The production of a computer program requires learners to be skilled in basic concepts of programming, to master mathematical formulas, appropriate syntax usage, and in-depth knowledge of programming languages. Typically, in forming a program, students should be able to identify problems, generate algorithms, and convert algorithms into program code according to the syntax. Therefore, a Java programming course requires a student to master cognitive thinking in which, students can recover knowledge by using 'retrieval-based learning' as a basic recollection strategy in learning programming languages. The retrieval-based learning method refers to the following five waves: mnemonic, semantic, episodic context account, map concept, and quiz. Through these five waves, students should be able to implement retrieval method such as producing their own practice questions, quizzes, scan cards, to rewrite learning, repainting of learning, and concept maps. Instructional materials should include formative (topical) assessment, emphasis on text and content requirements, use of open-ended questions (subjective), answers or feedback, repeating exercises, and student achievement estimation. The main contribution is to create a descriptive Java programming lesson, which includes the choice of difficult topics, learning activities, teaching and learning modules, and online learning. However, the initial purpose of this study is to determine the most difficult topics in Java programming, the retrieval based learning used by students, as well as online student learning modules among students in Diploma of Computer Science (Programming) in vocational colleges. The instrument used to collect the data is through an online questionnaire and the findings were analysed using SPSS software by giving the percentage value for each element studied. The sample of the study was 110 students in Diploma of Computer Science (Programming) from four vocational colleges in Malaysia. The findings from the preliminary study conducted by the researcher are presented in detail in this paper

Understanding how the audience perceived the message in the media is still an interesting discussion. It can study how to communicate the idea and how the message perceived may change all the time, and how to analyze it. Involving technologies in analyzing processes can make valuable input for communication media artists. The objective of this research is to analyze one of awarded advertise creations by mapping the audienceā€™s visual heatmap using InstantEye Tracker. The existence of eye-tracker technology makes it possible to obtain more objective information about how a visual communication design works, such as an advertisement received by someone. With 31 participants consisting of 14 men and 16 women, this study shows clear differences regarding the heat areas between men and women when receiving information on happy meal advertisements. Although, in general, the heat center is in the middle of the media, men tend to focus on the top left and the center. Meanwhile, women focus on the center and move randomly in the four quadrants of the image area. It relates to how the organization and composition of visual elements through design principles in visual communication design works that are appropriate to be captured by the audience

Personal identification in forensic investigation is not an easy process. Lip print analysis is one of the techniques that can be used to assist in human identification. This study was conducted to investigate the sex based on lip print pattern among Malaysian Malay population in Klang Valley, using photograph on lipstick-cellophane tape technique and the Suzuki and Tsuchihashi classification. A total of 360 subjects (180 males and 180 females) aged 15 and above were included in this study. The lip print was taken by pressing a cellophane tape to the lipstick applied on lip, pasted it onto a plain A4 paper and then photographed using a smart phone camera (OPPO F1). The images were then analysed using Adobe Photoshop software. A lip print image were divided into six sections: upper left, upper middle, upper right, lower right, lower middle and lower left. The Pearson chi-square test showed that there are significant differences between sexes in each section except for the upper middle section. Type V (irregular pattern) was the dominant pattern for the upper left, upper right, lower right and lower left sections (ranging from 71.1% to 86.7% for males and 80.6% to 83.9% for females) while type IV (reticular pattern) was mostly found in upper middle and lower middle section. Malaysian female displayed type V as the dominant lip print pattern in every section (ranging from 39.4% to 83.9%) except upper middle section and for Malaysian male, type V dominated the lip print pattern in all section (ranging from 71.1% to 86.7%) except for the upper and lower middle section. The result of this study can be applied in assisting the human identification for forensic science investigation
