The effect of phytohormones on the flowering of plants

    Get PDF
During the development of angiosperms, one of the most critical stages of plants is the transition from vegetative to reproductive stage, and successfully producing seeds is necessary. Plants have developed a complex signaling pathway to recognize and combine endogenous and environmental signals. Plant growth regulators (PGRs) play a role in regulating flower growth on shoots. Physiological and biochemical processes work together to differentiate and produce flower buds. The impact of PGRs on floral bud differentiation has been the subject of several publications in recent years. In addition, the dynamic variations in gibberellin (GA), auxin, and cytokinin levels in buds and the hormonal-related signatures in gene regulatory networks indicate a crucial function for these hormones during floral bud development in plants. Especially the flowering hormone GA has a key role in regulating the activities related to flowering genes as well as controlling the activity of the DELLA protein. Abscisic acid (ABA) and ethylene (ET) have an inhibitory role in flowering but in some cases stimulate flowering depending on environmental conditions. This study aims to understand the regulation of phytohormones on flowering of plants and its effects on plant development during the flowering stage

Transnational marriages between Vietnamese women and asian men in Vietnamese online media

This paper examines the social construction of marriage migration in Vietnamese online media. We present a content analysis of 643 items published online between 2000 and 2010 on international marriages between Vietnamese women and foreign Asian men. Our analysis reveals that online media content speaks to four important shifts discussed in Vietnamese studies: (1) shifts in notions of gender, sexuality, and marriage; (2) emerging discourses around class-making; (3) emerging discourse on human trafficking; and (4) shifting roles of the media

The Transition in Goods Export Structure in the Northeast Region of Vietnam

    Get PDF
The period 2005-2015 is an important stage in the preparation process of bringing Vietnam to basically become an industrialized country by 2020. The economic development of the Northeast with an open and export-oriented economy requires an important role of export activities in the region's socio-economic development. Although it is affected by the global economic crisis, the export value of the region has increased significantly, the structure of exports over the years has positively changed. In more detailed, the rate of raw goods slightly reduced. However, the restructuring of the region's exports has not made a breakthrough and failed to create a suitable structure of export products and made full use of the region’s advantages and potentials. The slow change of exports structure will lead to resource depletion, ecological imbalance, and poor economic efficiency. Keywords: Structure restructuring, Import and export, Northeast of Vietnam, PRODY, export commodities

General one-loop formulas for HffˉγH\rightarrow f\bar{f}\gamma and its applications

We present general one-loop contributions to the decay processes HffˉγH\rightarrow f\bar{f}\gamma including all possible the exchange of the additional heavy vector gauge bosons, heavy fermions, and charged (also neutral) scalar particles in the loop diagrams. As a result, the analytic results are valid in a wide class of beyond the standard models. Analytic formulas for the form factors are expressed in terms of Passarino-Veltman functions in the standard notations of {\tt LoopTools}. Hence, the decay rates can be computed numerically by using this package. The computations are then applied to the cases of the standard model, U(1)BLU(1)_{B-L} extension of the standard model as well as two Higgs doublet model. Phenomenological results of the decay processes for all the above models are studied. We observe that the effects of new physics are sizable contributions and these can be probed at future colliders.Comment: 32 page

Evaluation Of Agronomic Traits And Adaptation Of Some Promising Salt Tolerant Rice Lines/Varieties Growing In The Coastal Areas In Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam

Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is the main food in Vietnam and plays an important role in economic activity in this country. However, rice yield and growing areas are adversely influenced by the threats of the devastation caused by the rise of sea level. This study aimed to evaluate the salt effects in field experiments of 19 promising salt tolerance rice lines/varieties carrying QTL/Saltol, which were selected from the BC2F5 breeding combination between FL479 and Bac Thom 7 (BC7). The field experiments were conducted in two consecutive seasons at three saline-affected rice growing areas, including Nga Son, Hoang Hoa and Quang Xuong districts, Thanh Hoa province. The results showed that among those promising rice lines, the HL15 line had the best yield components in all experimented sites, and good agronomic traits with short plant height and shorter growth duration than the BC7 variety (115-117 days) in the spring season and 102-103 days in the summer season, respectively. All tested had the same level of pest resistance/infection as the control variety BT7 under production conditions using pesticides including HL1, HL13 and HL15, which were mildly infected with the bacterial leaf blight, while HL15 variety showed high resistance to pests and diseases. Moreover, the HL2, HL15 and HL19 lines had scored 3, equivalent to FL478 (tolerant), and the survival rate was over 85% compared with the control variety. Overall, our findings showed that the promising purebred variety HL15 had a range of good agronomic characteristics, resistance to major pests and diseases, high yield potential and salinity tolerance of 6‰. The HL15 variety was renamed as SHPT15 and continued to conduct procedures to recognize it as a new rice variety

EfficientRec an unlimited user-item scale recommendation system based on clustering and users interaction embedding profile

Recommendation systems are highly interested in technology companies nowadays. The businesses are constantly growing users and products, causing the number of users and items to continuously increase over time, to very large numbers. Traditional recommendation algorithms with complexity dependent on the number of users and items make them difficult to adapt to the industrial environment. In this paper, we introduce a new method applying graph neural networks with a contrastive learning framework in extracting user preferences. We incorporate a soft clustering architecture that significantly reduces the computational cost of the inference process. Experiments show that the model is able to learn user preferences with low computational cost in both training and prediction phases. At the same time, the model gives a very good accuracy. We call this architecture EfficientRec with the implication of model compactness and the ability to scale to unlimited users and products.Comment: Published in 14th Asian Conference on Intelligent Information and Database Systems (ACIIDS), 202
