A New Species of Mites of the Genus Anystipalpus (Mesostigmata, Ascidae) from the Eastern Ukraine
Anystipalpus stepposus Trach, sp. n. from Lugansk Region associated with carabid beetles is described. The new species is similar to A. livshitsi (Eidelberg, 1989), differing by the arrangement of short and thickened setae on the podonotal shield, presence of large presternal shields, shape and sclerotization of the sternal shield, shape of some setae on legs and venter of idiosoma, details of structure of the chelicerae.Π‘ ΠΆΡΠΊΠΎΠ²-ΠΆΡΠΆΠ΅Π»ΠΈΡ ΠΈΠ· ΠΡΠ³Π°Π½ΡΠΊΠΎΠΉ ΠΎΠ±Π»Π°ΡΡΠΈ ΠΎΠΏΠΈΡΠ°Π½ Π½ΠΎΠ²ΡΠΉ Π²ΠΈΠ΄ ΠΊΠ»Π΅ΡΠ΅ΠΉ ΡΠ΅ΠΌΠ΅ΠΉΡΡΠ²Π° Ascidae (Mesostigmata), Anystipalpus stepposus Trach, sp. n. The First Record of the Family Parantennulidae (Acari, Mesostigmata) in Ukraine with Redescription of Female of Parantennulus scolopendrarum
Mites of the family Parantennulidae are recorded from Ukraine for the first time. A female of Parantennulus scolopendrarum (Berlese, 1886) from the megarian banded centipede Scolopendra cingulata (Latreille, 1829) is redesribed.ΠΠ»Π΅ΡΠΈ ΡΠ΅ΠΌΠ΅ΠΉΡΡΠ²Π° Parantennulidae Π²ΠΏΠ΅ΡΠ²ΡΠ΅ ΠΎΠ±Π½Π°ΡΡΠΆΠ΅Π½Ρ Π² Π£ΠΊΡΠ°ΠΈΠ½Π΅. On the Fauna of Gamasid Mites of the Genera Anystipalpus and Antennoseius (Mesostigmata, Ascidae) of the Eastern Ukraine
The local fauna of mites of the genera Anystipalpus and Antennoseius in βStreltsovskaya steppeβ branch of Lugansk Nature Reserve was studied. The aspects of phoresy mites on carabids and the quantitative data of phoresy are reviewed. 334 specimens of 36 carabid species were examined. Seven species of mites of these genera (Anystipalpus livshitsi, A. stepposus, Antennoseius bullitus, A. dungeri, A. kamalii, A. pannonicus, A. ponticus) were found on 16 species of carabids. A. kamalii are recorded for the first time for Europe and Ukraine. A. livshitsi collected from 13 species of carabids, other species of mites were found on 1β6 species of beetles. The index of dominance of certain species of mites is 0.2β81.4 %, the index of occurrence β 0.4β20.6 %. The maximum values of the intensity of mites invasion (phoresy) was observed for A. livshitsi (8.0) and A. bullitus (8.2). Up to 72 mite specimens were observed on one specimen of beetle. Simultaneous phoresy (synphoresy) of mites of these genera are registered for the first time. It is suggested that mites are weakly associated with certain taxa of ground beetles, and more associated with certain size group of carabids and probably with their habitats.ΠΠ·ΡΡΠ΅Π½Π° Π»ΠΎΠΊΠ°Π»ΡΠ½Π°Ρ ΡΠ°ΡΠ½Π° ΠΊΠ»Π΅ΡΠ΅ΠΉ ΡΠΎΠ΄ΠΎΠ² Antennoseius ΠΈ Anystipalpus Π½Π° ΡΠ΅ΡΡΠΈΡΠΎΡΠΈΠΈ ΠΎΡΠ΄Π΅Π»Π΅Π½ΠΈΡ Β«Π‘ΡΡΠ΅Π»ΡΡΠΎΠ²ΡΠΊΠ°Ρ ΡΡΠ΅ΠΏΡΒ» ΠΡΠ³Π°Π½ΡΠΊΠΎΠ³ΠΎ ΠΏΡΠΈΡΠΎΠ΄Π½ΠΎΠ³ΠΎ Π·Π°ΠΏΠΎΠ²Π΅Π΄Π½ΠΈΠΊΠ°. A Review of Mites of the Family Canestriniidae (Acari, Astigmata) Associated with the Leaf Beetles (Coleoptera, Chrysomelidae) in Ukraine with Description of a New Species of the Genus Pseudamansia
Three species of the mite family Canestriniidae (Acari, Astigmata) were found on leaf beetles (Coleoptera, Chrysomelidae) collected during 2000β2005 in Ukraine. Amansiella trilobata Khaustov et Eidelberg, 2001 and Paramansia bicornis Khaustov et Eidelberg, 2001 are new for the continental part of Ukraine. Chrysolina polita and C. fastuosa are new hosts for P. bicornis. Pseudamansia decorata Tratsch et Khaustov, sp. n. occuring on Timarcha goettingensis in Odessa and Vinnica regions is described and illustrated. P. decorata sp. n. females differ from P. chrysomelinus by distinctly shorter and stiffer setae d1 and c1.ΠΠ° ΠΆΡΠΊΠ°Ρ

MITES OF THE GENUS PROCTOLAELAPS BERLESE, 1923 (ACARI: MESOSTIGMATA: MELICHARIDAE) ASSOCIATED WITH BARK BEETLES IN ASIAN RUSSIA
Six mite species of the genus Proctolaelaps Berlese, 1923 (Acari: Mesostigmata: Melicharidae) are recorded from bark beetles and in their galleries in Asian Russia. Proctolaelaps hystricoides Lindquist and Hunter, 1965, P. hystrix (Vitzthum, 1923) and P. scolyti Evans (1958) are recorded for the first time in Russia. A key to females of the genus Proctolaelaps, associated with subcortical beetles, is provided.
