    Implication of ICT in the learning of University Students: a systemic-conectivist explanation

    El acercamiento a la explicación del aprendizaje de estudiantes en la era digital parece ser insuficiente desde el conductismo, cognitivismo y constructivismo; así el objetivo de la investigación fue explicar desde una perspectiva sistémico-conectivista la relación entre las acciones que realizan los estudiantes universitarios y la inclusión de las TIC en su aprendizaje. El método fue cuantitativo, transversal y se aplicó un cuestionario de escala Likert construido a partir de los principios del conectivismo. Los resultados indican que las tecnologías están presentes siendo la colaboración, exposición retroalimentación y generación de redes lo más destacado, mientras la correlación de Pearson es significativa.The approaching to the explanation of the students learning in the digital age appears to be insufficient from the behaviorism, cognitive, and constructivist; by this way, the objective of the research was explained from a systemic-connectivism perspective the relation between the actions that university students conduct and the inclusion of the ICT in their learning. The method selected was a quantitative, transversal, and a questionnaire was applied on the Likert scale built as of the connectivism principles. The result shows that the technologies are present being the collaboration. the exposure- feedback, and generation of networks the most outstanding, while the correlation of Pearson is significant

    The Interaction in Blearningas an Enabler of Constructive Learning Environments: from the Perspective of Students

    El blearning se ha convertido en una modalidad de enseñanza-aprendizaje prometedora puesto que el hibrido de presencialidad y virtualidad incrementa las opciones para la construcción de conocimiento. El objetivo de la investigación, fue conocer las formas de interacción en modalidad blended que posibilitan la configuración de ambientes de aprendizaje constructivistas. Los resultados derivan de un estudio cuantitativo, no experimental transversal, de alcance descriptivo correlacional, en el que participaron 59 estudiantes de Ingeniería en Computación. Los resultados destacan la importancia de la interacción constructiva mayormente entre compañerosy en menor medida con el tutor.Blearning has become a promising learning and teaching method since the combination of being present in a classroom and virtual teaching increase the options for the building of knowledge. The aim of the research was to learn the forms of interaction within blended settings that enable constructive learning environments. The results are from a quantitative study, nonexperimental, cross-sectional, correlational descriptive scope, in which 59 Computer Engineering students participated.     Sustainability and institutionalization model: the case of the MPIA

    The present text deals in a general way the way in which from the Master in Innovative Processes in Learning (MPIA) that operates as a double degree by the Centro Universitario de Los Altos (CUALTOS) of the University of Guadalajara, in collaboration with the Institute of Sciences of Education of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPCBarcelonaTECH), has tried to promote sustainability as a transversal skill that allows the institutionalization of this topic in the University System. The MPIA trains active teachers who develop their educational practice in different engineering or technological baccalaureates, among other educational centers; and the concern has arisen to propose a model to follow to institutionalize sustainability as a form of change and improvement of the educational context. In this sense, as a first point it is proposed that groups of volunteers can be generated to prepare themselves theoretically and practically with respect to how to pedagogically lead a sustainability project that in turn can be institutionalized [1]. From this group of volunteers will be generated the leaders that would make possible the execution of the model, once institutionalized. To comply with the above, it is necessary to use Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), since in addition to improving the productivity and efficiency of processes in organizations, they can also contribute to sustainable development by executing public plans and programs, driven by thinking minds that seek to establish clear guidelines that can be executed in the short, medium and long term [2].     Teaching experience in university students using social networks

    Social networks, specifically Facebook and Twitter, are currently one of the most mainstream forms of media in the world. Yet, its educational use for the dissemination of knowledge is not significantly evident. Under this premise, this report is presented, considering an experience in which teachers and university-level students used these networks as mediators of educational practices; such mediation was implemented in order to promote mobile learning as an option to facilitate the process of construction and socialization of knowledge. In this sense, the research presented aims to identify the experience and opinion of students regarding the influence of this strategy in achieving their learning. The quantitative methodology was applied through the application of a survey of students who participated and realized the importance of socialization of knowledge. The results showed favourable opinions regarding the use of these networks, highlighting the benefits of mobile learning as a way to streamline the training process.     La práctica del estudiante en el b-learning: una observación sistémica

    Actualment, els processos educatius universitaris estan marcats per la irrupció de les tecnologies a les aules. Aquest fet suposa la modificació de les accions d'ensenyament i d'aprenentatge en barrejar les TIC amb la presencialitat, donant cabuda a una modalitat mixta, híbrida, o del tipus blended learning, en què estudiants i docents juguen rols diversos diferenciant-se dels tradicionals. Davant aquesta situació, aquest document presenta un resum dels resultats quantitatius-descriptius obtinguts en una recerca doctoral, en què un dels objectius va ser descriure la pràctica de l'estudiant des d'una perspectiva sistèmica: aquest acostament integral va permetre representar aquesta pràctica des de les dimensions cognitiva, actitudinal, d’aprenentatge, tecnològica i comunicativa. Els resultats mostren un estudiant actiu en el seu procés d'aprenentatge, familiaritzat amb les tecnologies, a qui no li és fàcil treballar col·laborativament, que interactua més amb els seus companys que amb el docent;  la seva acceptació i gust cap a la modalitat depèn de les seves percepcions i experiències anteriors, a més de les característiques del docent que imparteixi el curs. La recerca es va dur a terme al Centre Universitari de los Altos de la Universitat de Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mèxic.Nowadays the educational processes are marked by the emergence of technologies in the classrooms. This fact represents an alteration in the learning and teaching methods when mixing the TIC with the presence (face to face), giving room to a mixed modality or the b-learning type, where both teachers and students play diverse roles unlike the traditional/conventional roles. Under these circumstances, this document presents a summary of quantitative/descriptive outcomes obtained in a doctoral research. One of the objectives was to describe the student´s experience from a systemic perspective. This comprehensive approach allowed portraying that experience with the next dimensions: cognitive, attitudinal, learning, technological and communicative. The results show an active student in its learning process, familiarized with technology, having a hard time working with others, interacting more with its classmates but less than with the teacher, its acceptance and taste toward the modality depends on its past experiences and perceptions and also on the teacher´s characteristics and way of teaching. The research was carried out at the Centro Universitario de los Altos de la Universidad de Guadalajara en Jalisco, MéxicoEn la actualidad los procesos educativos universitarios están marcados por la irrupción de las tecnologías en las aulas. Este hecho supone la modificación de las acciones de enseñanza y de aprendizaje al mezclar las TIC con la presencialidad, dando cabida a una modalidad mixta o del tipo b-learning, en la que estudiantes y docentes juegan diversos roles que se diferencian de los tradicionales. Ante esa situación, este trabajo presenta un resumen de los resultados cuantitativos-descriptivos obtenidos en una investigación doctoral, en la que uno de los objetivos fue describir la práctica del estudiante desde una perspectiva sistémica. Este acercamiento integral permitió representar dicha práctica desde las siguientes dimensiones: cognitiva, actitudinal, de aprendizaje, tecnológica y comunicativa. Los resultados muestran a un estudiante activo en su proceso de aprendizaje, familiarizado con las tecnologías, al que no le resulta fácil trabajar colaborativamente, que interactúa más con sus compañeros que con el docente y cuya aceptación y gusto hacia la modalidad depende de sus percepciones y experiencias anteriores, además de las características del docente que imparta el curso.
