遠藤新の建築論における基本的特質Ⅰ ―中央銀行倶楽部における大陸性と日本性―

Chuo-ginko Club（1935） is the first public architecture by Arata Endo in Shinkyo, Manchria. This club is very different from his famous work; Koshien Hotel（1927） in Japan from the view point of the decorative method. At that moment, Japanese architects should represent the Japanese character in their works as the national architects mostly in the territory under Japan control in modern age until the end of World War Second. Hence Endo should also do so in Shinkyo. I will exam Endo’s concept for Chuo-ginko Club to clarify his original method, which might be deferent from his master; Frank Lloyd Wright’s one and might deeply connect with the traditional Japanese aesthetic theory

クロスアポイントメント制度による活動報告―大阪公立大学建築学科倉方研究室との合同ゼミと研究交流の経過―

　大阪公立大学（当時は大阪市立大学）大学院工学研究科および工学部と武庫川女子大学大学院及び全学部との間において，2019 年，教育・研究に関する協定が結ばれた。それを契機に公立大学から本学にクロスアポイントメントの要請があり，2020 年度から，工学部建築学科倉方俊輔教授と武庫川女子大学生活環境学科黒田智子（筆者）との研究室間で，卒業研究のための合同ゼミが開始した。今年度（2022 年度）で3 年目を迎える。初年度の2020 年度はコロナ禍の一年目でもあり，合同ゼミは遠隔で月1 回，各研究室の所属学生が交代で成果を発表し，有意義な交流が実現したと思う。2 年目の2021 年9 月，倉方先生が教授に昇進され，建築学科の歴史・意匠講座に変化があった。その11 月，本学生活美学研究所において筆者が主宰する甲子プロジェクト研究会で，伊東忠太についてのご講演をお願いし，合同ゼミとは別に研究交流も始まった。伊東忠太は，甲子園ホテル（現・甲子園会館）の設計者遠藤新の東京帝国大学時代の恩師である。3 年目の今年（2022 年度），研究所の嘱託研究員をお願いし，伊東から遠藤への影響について共同研究を開始することになった。特に今年度は，大阪市立大学が，大阪府立大学と合併し大阪公立大学となった年でもある。このような変化の中で，2 年間の教育・研究の交流について振り返える

The organization man is the stereotype man in the stereotype city of 10,000,000 represented by Kenzo Tange（1913-2005）in his“ A Plan for Tokyo, 1960”（1961）. The role of organization man concerns tightly the life of the city of 10,000,000 with the organic city model. I will examine mainly with the two texts. The one is“ The The Organization Man”（1956） written by William Hollingsworth Whyte, Jr.）（1917-1999） in the field of social science. Tange might consult the idea of Whyte’s organization man. The other is“ The Conditions of Economic Progress”（1951）（by Colin Grant Clark（1905-1985） in the field of economics and statistics. 「空間の醍醐味」について ―遠藤新からみた帝国ホテルの空間的特質―

This paper examines on the spatial character of the Imperial Hotel as expressed by Arata Endo who worked under Frank Lloyd Wright. The hotel was designed in 1923 by Wright as a government guest house, representing Japanese high culture. Endo first discussed the hotel in ‘ An argument of the addition to the Imperial Hotel’ in 1936, he refers to the spatial character as being ‘a real taste of space’. The reason that Endo wrote the argument is considered from the aspect of the addition being done without Wright or Endo. The ‘real taste of space’ is examined with the impression of both Japanese and overseas guests. What Endo as an architect wrote is considered from the aspect of both ‘scale’ and ‘architectural composition’ which he himself named

詠歌における心 ―「有心躰」によせて―

和歌（以下「歌」と表記）によって，人はひとつの情景を想い起こし，その中に浸ることができる。僅か31文字が，確かな空間性を実感させるのだ。そんな歌を詠むに際して守るべき条件は，上の句の5，7，5と，下の句の7，7の字数のみである。空間性の表現形式としては，最小限の部類だろう。 小倉百人一首 （13世紀前半）の撰者で知られる藤原定家 （1162-1241）は，歌聖といわれ，詠歌についての言説が，後世において度々引用された。また，歌だけでなく，中世以降の連歌，能楽，茶道，書道など日本の伝統文化に大きな影響を与えた。特に，『毎月抄1)』（1219）は，歌を成立させる必須の条件を詠み手の心の在り方に求めた，日本文学史上初めての歌論である2)。定家は，その中で歌を10の類型に分類している。そして，最も基本の躰を有心躰と名付け，歌の本質を論じている。同じく定家による歌論『近代秀歌』（1221頃），『詠歌大概』（1222頃）とともに見ていきたい。最初，『毎月抄』は，筆に任せて書かれ，全体に理路整然としていないように感じた。例えば，有心躰の特徴は，それを含む基本の4躰の説明では，素直・優美のみであるのに，10躰すべてを説明した後には，味わい深さを加えている。それは，定家が，歌人であって理論家ではないからだと考えていた。定家には，毎月詠んだ100首を送ってきて指導を受ける身分の高い相手がいた。『毎月抄』は，評価を終えて100首を送り返す時に，それに添えた文章とされる3)。そこで，そのような師弟関係を想定して読むと，まず，定家が，相手の詠歌の素直さを大いに認めていることに気がつく。次に，基本とする4躰の説明において，優美への興味関心を呼び起こし，最後に，深い味わいに注目させている。相手の立場に立って，相手が定家のアドバイスを受け入れ易く，理解し易いような説明の順序を採った創作論なの だ。定家の態度は，現代の我々が考える論理性とは別次元において，精緻で，しかも温かく，優しい

Nanog co-regulated by Nodal/Smad2 and Oct4 is required for pluripotency in developing mouse epiblast

AbstractNanog, a core pluripotency factor, is required for stabilizing pluripotency of inner cell mass (ICM) and embryonic stem cells (ESCs), and survival of primordial germ cells in mice. Here, we have addressed function and regulation of Nanog in epiblasts of postimplantation mouse embryos by conditional knockdown (KD), chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) using in vivo epiblasts, and protein interaction with the Nanog promoter in vitro. Differentiation of Nanog-KD epiblasts demonstrated requirement for Nanog in stabilization of pluripotency. Nanog expression in epiblast is directly regulated by Nodal/Smad2 pathway in a visceral endoderm-dependent manner. Notably, Nanog promoters switch from Oct4/Esrrb in ICM/ESCs to Oct4/Smad2 in epiblasts. Smad2 directly associates with Oct4 to form Nanog promoting protein complex. Collectively, these data demonstrate that Nanog plays a key role in stabilizing Epiblast pluripotency mediated by Nodal/Smad2 signaling, which is involved in Nanog promoter switching in early developing embryos
