Higgs domain walls in the thermal background
Most cosmological models predict that the universe was hot and dense at the
early stages of it's evolution. In this paper we analyse the influence of the
thermal bath of Standard Model particles on the dynamics of cosmological Higgs
domain walls. This manuscript poses an~extension of our earlier work in which
we investigated the evolution of networks of Higgs domain walls neglecting the
impact of temperature variation.
Using the thermally corrected effective potential of Standard Model we have
found that both the position of the local maximum separating minima
and the width of domain walls strongly depend on temperature . For
temperatures higher than they respectively increase
proportionally and decrease inverse proportionally to the increasing
temperature. Thus, the energy scale of the problem follows the value of
temperature.
Our numerical lattice simulations based on the PRS algorithm reveal that
Higgs domain walls in the presence of the background thermal bath are highly
unstable and decay shortly after formation. Moreover we have found that the
fraction of horizons produced by inflation in which Higgs field expectation
value is higher then needs to be very low in order for the evolution
of the~network of the domain walls to end in the electroweak vacuum. This means
that Higgs domain walls necessarily were very rare objects and their average
energy density was very small. As a result, the domain walls can not
significantly effect cosmological observables
METODY POMIARU MAŁYCH POJEMNOŚCI W ELEKTRYCZNEJ TOMOGRAFII POJEMNOŚCIOWEJ
The paper presents the main methods of small capacitance measurement used in electrical capacitance tomography: the AC method with a sine wave excitation and the charge-discharge method with square wave excitation. Construction of synchronous detector for both circuits was discussed.
ROZWÓJ KONSTRUKCJI ELEKTRYCZNEGO TOMOGRAFU POJEMNOŚCIOWEGO W ZAKŁADZIE ELEKTRONIKI JĄDROWEJ I MEDYCZNEJ
Electrical Capacitance Tomography is a technique which allows to visualize a spatial distribution of electric permittivity in an examined volume. ECT allows to achieve hundreds of frames per second which is suitable for the industrial application, e.g. monitoring of multiphase flows or material mixing. Construction of such ECT system which enables precise data acquisition with sufficient speed is a challenge. In the Division of Nuclear and Medical Electronics ECT systems which have found applications in many research facilities in Poland and all over the world have been constructed for over 15 years. In this article a multichannel ET3 tomograph and its successor,EVT4, are presented. EVT4 will allow to obtain more than 10 thousand frames per second. This will allow to make progress in studies of dynamic processes and 3D visualization.
Role i stanowiska pracy w otwartej nauce i komunikacji naukowej. Analiza zakresów obowiązków i próba prognozy przyszłych tendencji zmian w zawodzie
During the past two-decades academic libraries updated current staff job responsibilities or created brand new roles. This allowed them to adapt to scholarly communication developments and consequently enabled them to offer efficient servicesto their users. The global calls for openly accessible research results has shifted the institutional, national and international focus and their constant evolvement has required the creation of new research positions in academic libraries. This study reports on the findings of an analysis of job descriptions in the open research services as advertised by UK academic libraries.Technologiczny postęp ostatnich 20 lat zmusił biblioteki akademickie do uaktualnienia bieżących zakresów obowiązków i odpowiedzialności swoich pracowników oraz do wyznaczenia bibliotekarzom całkowicie nowych ról. Pozwoliło im to jednak zaadaptować się do dynamicznego rozwoju i postępu w komunikacji naukowej, a w konsekwencji umożliwiło przedstawienie swoim użytkownikom oferty kompetentnie i sprawnie wykonywanych usług.
Neocytoliza - nowy, niedoceniany mechanizm niedokrwistości i wahań stężenia hemoglobiny u chorych z przewlekłą chorobą nerek?
Tradycyjne pojmowanie roli erytropoetyny (EPO)
form linii erytroblastycznej (neocytolizy).

Beyond Grids: Exploring Elastic Input Sampling for Vision Transformers
Vision transformers have excelled in various computer vision tasks but mostly
rely on rigid input sampling using a fixed-size grid of patches. This limits
their applicability in real-world problems, such as in the field of robotics
and UAVs, where one can utilize higher input elasticity to boost model
performance and efficiency. Our paper addresses this limitation by formalizing
the concept of input elasticity for vision transformers and introducing an
evaluation protocol, including dedicated metrics for measuring input
elasticity. Moreover, we propose modifications to the transformer architecture
and training regime, which increase its elasticity. Through extensive
experimentation, we spotlight opportunities and challenges associated with
input sampling strategies
