Diversity Management on Organizational Citizenship Behavior: Examining The Potential Mediators

This study aims to understand the effect of diversity management on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), taking into account the mediating role of organizational inclusion, affective commitment, and work engagement. The data for this quantitative study was collected using questionnaires from 263 employees who have worked for at least one year in FMCG companies operating in Indonesia. The data analyzed in Structural Equation Modelling showed that diversity management had no direct effect on OCB. The result indicated that the causal relationship between diversity management and OCB was fully mediated by organizational inclusion and work engagement. However, affective commitment was not proven to mediate the causal relationship between diversity management on OCB. This study reveals the importance of diversity management implementation within a company and ways of action to boost OCB of the employees. Development of a Murine Model to Study Inhibitors of CXCR3-Ligand Interactions

CXCR3 is involved in numerous inflammatory disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, allograft rejection and inflammatory bowel disease. There is a strong and growing demand for novel and effective therapeutics that can mediate CXCR3 activity. In this study, a set of botanical compounds and a peptide mimetic of the second extracellular loop (ECL-2) of CXCR3 were examined for the ability to inhibit interactions between CXCR3 and its ligands in a murine model. EGCG, a green tea polyphenol, and gallotannin, derived from many plant sources, strongly inhibited the chemotaxis of stably transfected murine CXCR3-expressing L1.2 cells in response to murine CXCL9, CXCL10, and CXCL11. EGCG was also shown to bind directly to murine CXCR3 ligands with high affinities. Baicalin, a flavonoid found in the medicinal plant Scutellaria baicalensis, and ginkgolide A, from the Ginkgo biloba tree, did not significantly reduce cell migration towards murine CXCR3 ligands, nor did the peptide mimetic of the ECL-2 of murine CXCR3. Other green tea polyphenols similar in structure to EGCG were also analyzed and were less able to inhibit murine CXCR3 ligand-mediated chemotaxis than EGCG, with the following efficacies: ECG > EGC > EC. It was observed that the most effective test compounds contained more hydroxyl groups and hence were more negatively charged, similar to glycosaminoglycans, which are extracellular matrix components that bind many chemokines. It is possible that EGCG and gallotannin are able to bind the GAG-binding domains of murine CXCR3 ligands, which allows them to prevent receptor binding and inhibit their function. This possibility represents the public health relevance of this research, as EGCG and gallotannin may be attractive candidates as lead compounds for new therapeutics for CXCR3-mediated and other inflammatory diseases

Kegiatan program kerja magang dilakukan penulis pada posisi Marketing yang berfokus pada bagian customer relationship di PT.Dextone Lemindo. Kegiatan kerja magang ini dilakukan selama 60 hari kerja di PT Dextone Lemindo yang berada di Tangerang. PT Dextone Lemindo didirikan pada tahun 1986 dan telah berada di industri perekat selama lebih dari 20 tahun dan saat ini adalah perusahaan terkemuka di Indonesia yang menyediakan solusi perekat. PT Dextone Lemindo berbasis di Tangerang dan manufaktur serta distribusi perusahaan Indonesia. Perusahaan kami adalah ISO 9001: 2015 bersertifikat untuk sistem manajemen kami. Selama kegiatan program magang, penulis diberikan kesempatan untuk melakukan komunikasi dan koordinasi dengan distributor melalui telepon, mencatat semua orderan barang yang masuk, melakukan perencanaan pengiriman barang, melakukan surat perintah kerja (SPK) ke bagian produksi sesuai pesanan dari distributor, mengatur jadwal pengiriman barang, melakukan penghitungan stock barang, serta bersedia menerima tugas tambahan dari atasan. Tujuan adanya program kerja magang ini adalah mengaplikasikan teori yang sudah didapatkan di Universitas Multimedia Nusantara kedalam dunia kerja nyata dan menambah wawasan dalam jalur distribusi dan proses bisnis dari suatu perusahaan. Bioprinting of vascularized bone tissue equivalents

Bone tissue is one of the most frequently transplanted tissues. Since procedures like the transplantation of autologous bone bear risks, though, regenerative medicine and tissue engineering reach to face those problems by engineering bone substitutes by using suitable materials and living cells. A crucial factor is the vascularization of the constructed tissue to ensure supply of the included cells with nutrients and oxygen. For the fabrication of such bone tissue equivalents, evolving manufacturing techniques like bioprinting can be used to construct geometrically defined three-dimensional structures. Phototriggered release of tetrapeptide AAPV from coumarinyl and pyrenyl cages

Ala-Ala-Pro-Val (AAPV) is a bioactive tetrapeptide that inhibits human neutrophil elastase (HNE), an enzyme involved in skin chronic inflammatory diseases like psoriasis. Caged derivatives of this peptide were prepared by proper N- and C-terminal derivatisation through a carbamate or ester linkage, respectively, with two photoactive moieties, namely 7-methoxycoumarin-2-ylmethyl and pyren-2-ylmethyl groups. These groups were chosen to assess the influence of the photosensitive group and the type of linkage in the controlled photorelease of the active molecule. The caged peptides were irradiated at selected wavelengths of irradiation (254, 300, and 350 nm), and the photolytic process was monitored by HPLC-UV. The results established the applicability of the tested photoactive groups for the release of AAPV, especially for the derivative bearing the carbamate-linked pyrenylmethyl group, which displayed the shortest irradiation times for the release at the various wavelengths of irradiation (ca. 4 min at 254 nm, 8 min at 300 nm and 46 min at 350 nm).Thanks are due to the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT, Portugal) for financial support to the portuguese NMR network (PTNMR, Bruker Avance III 400- Univ.
