Thermodynamics of hairy black holes in Lovelock gravity

We perform a thorough study of the thermodynamic properties of a class of Lovelock black holes with conformal scalar hair arising from coupling of a real scalar field to the dimensionally extended Euler densities. We study the linearized equations of motion of the theory and describe constraints under which the theory is free from ghosts/tachyons. We then consider, within the context of black hole chemistry, the thermodynamics of the hairy black holes in the Gauss-Bonnet and cubic Lovelock theories. We clarify the connection between isolated critical points and thermodynamic singularities, finding a one parameter family of these critical points which occur for well-defined thermodynamic parameters. We also report on a number of novel results, including `virtual triple points' and the first example of a `λ\lambda-line'---a line of second order phase transitions---in black hole thermodynamics.Comment: 62 pages, 30 figures. Building XML data warehouse based on frequent patterns in user queries

[Abstract]: With the proliferation of XML-based data sources available across the Internet, it is increasingly important to provide users with a data warehouse of XML data sources to facilitate decision-making processes. Due to the extremely large amount of XML data available on web, unguided warehousing of XML data turns out to be highly costly and usually cannot well accommodate the users’ needs in XML data acquirement. In this paper, we propose an approach to materialize XML data warehouses based on frequent query patterns discovered from historical queries issued by users. The schemas of integrated XML documents in the warehouse are built using these frequent query patterns represented as Frequent Query Pattern Trees (FreqQPTs). Using hierarchical clustering technique, the integration approach in the data warehouse is flexible with respect to obtaining and maintaining XML documents. Experiments show that the overall processing of the same queries issued against the global schema become much efficient by using the XML data warehouse built than by directly searching the multiple data sources

Fulfilling the needs of a metadata creator and analyst : An investigation of RDF browsing and visualization tools

The realization of Semantic Web vision is based on the creation and use of semantic web content which needs software tools both for semantic web developers and end users. Over the past few years, semantic web software tools like ontology editors and triple storage systems have emerged and are growing in maturity with time. While working on a large triple dataset during the course of a research aiming at a life-long “semantic” repository of personal information, besides other semantic web tools, we used several RDF browsing and visualization tools for analyzing our data. This analysis included ensuring the correctness of the data, conformance of instance data to the ontology, finding patterns and trails in the data, cross-checking and evaluating inferred data, etc. We found that many of the features needed by a metadata creator and analyst are missing from these tools. This paper presents an investigation of the tools that are used for browsing and visualizing RDF datasets. It first identifies the browsing and visualization features required by a semantic web developer and a metadata creator and analyst and then based on those features evaluates the most common RDF browsing and visualization tools available till date. We conclude this paper with recommendations for requirements to be fulfilled for future semantic web browsing and visualizationThe past and the future of information systems: 1976-2006 and beyondRed de Universidades con Carreras en Informática (RedUNCI

ONGOING SOCIAL SUSTAINABILITY COMPLIANCE MONITORING IN SUPPLY CHAINS

Social sustainability issus such as child labour at a supplier pose significant reputational risk for companies. Therefore, many companies now require that suppliers follow certain standards or codes of conduct. However, in today´s complex supply chains with hundreds of sourcing locations, ongoing monitoring of compliance through audits for every supplier is hardly practical. Consequntly, an information technology system is investigated as a tool to establish ongoing monitoring of suppliers based on available information with regard to the risk that suppliers breach the compliance rules defined. This paper describes work on a system that uses a Bayesian network to integrate evidence from multiple public and private data sources in order to rank suppliers dynamically. A particular focus of future work will be a prototype based on the issu of child labour and the advantages of applying text mining methods

The cognitive social capital of the Murnaten village community in managing dusung includes trust, cooperation, and solidarity-based on norms, values, attitudes, and oriented beliefs in the form of action to strengthen positive efforts in dusung management. This study aims to analyze the effect of cognitive, social capital on the performance of dusung in Murnaten Village, Taniwel District, West Seram Regency. The results showed that the effect of cognitive, social capital (trust, cooperation, and solidarity) on dusung performance (productivity, efficiency, sustainability and fairness with a determinant coefficient value adjusted R2 of 0.771, with F-count (25.359)> F-table (2.759), and the partial test t-count> t-table (2.059) shows that cognitive, social capital (trust, cooperation, and solidarity) has a significant effect simultaneously and partially on dusung performance (productivity, efficiency, sustainability, and justice) at the 0.01 level of confidence. and 0.05.fairness) at the 0.01 and 0.05 confidence levels

Dusung performance is the condition and performance of dusung management managed by the community of dusung owners, as measured by productivity, sustainability, fairness, and efficiency. This study analyzes the rank-spearman correlation between cognitive, social capital to dusung performance in Murnaten Village, Taniwel District, West Seram Regency. Rank-Spearman's correlation results show that the relationship between cognitive, social capital (trust, cooperation, and solidarity) and performance (productivity, efficiency, sustainability, and fairness) overall shows a direct and quite strong relationship. It is supported by the values and norms that apply in society that are maintained as ancestral heritage

Municipal garbage and seaweed are organic materials which can be soil ameliorant (additive) important to improve soil chemical and physics. Different organic material sources given to the soil will make plants growing on it respond differently except the seeds. This study aim at testing the response given by organic matter from the city garbage and seaweed on marginal soils (with low pH areas, clayey texture and low nutrient content) on the jackfruit seed growth. The research design used is random complete design with 6 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments tested were B0 = (control-without ameliorant), B1 = Soil + (100 mg N, 60 mg P, 100 mg K, 60 mg Mg, Ca 60 mg kg -1 soil)., B2 = Soil + (50 mg N, 30 mg P, 50 mg K, 30 mg Mg, 30 Ca mg kg -1 soil) + organic materials. Sea weed., B3 = Soil + organic materials. Seaweed., B4 = Soil + (50 mg N, 30 mg P, 50 mg K, 30 mg Mg, 30 mg Ca kg -1 soil) + organic materials. Municipal garbage., B5 = Soil + organic materials. municipal garbage. The results showed that the provision of municipal garbage organic and seaweed significantly affect the parameters of leaf width, however, sea weed organic materials has a more significant effect than municipal garbage
