IMPLEMENTASI PERATURAN DAERAH KABUPATEN INDRAGIRI HILIR NOMOR 22 TAHUN 2010 TENTANG PAJAK SARANG BURUNG WALET (STUDI KASUS DI KECAMATAN MANDAH)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana Implementasi Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir Nomor 22 Tahun 2010 tentang Pajak Sarang Burung Walet. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif yang artinya penelitian bersifat mengemukakan fakta. Sedang teknik analisa data yaitu menganalisa data secara deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik untuk memperoleh data menggunakan wawancara terhadap narasumber atau informan yang dianggap berkompeten terhadap permasalahan. Selain itu, data diperoleh pula dari studi dokumentasi melalui laporan, disamping itu juga melalui pengamatan langsung. Adapun indikator yang digunakan untuk menggambarkan Implementasi Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir Nomor 22 Tahun 2010, adalah implementasi kebijakan berupa target atau realisasi dan upaya pemerintah daerah serta faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambat pelaksanaan kebijakan tersebut. Hasil penelitian dan analisis menunjukkan bahwa problem utama Implementasi Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir Nomor 22 Tahun 2010 adalah kurang lengkapnya pendataan bangunan sarang burung walet, lemahnya sosialisasi, serta masih kurangnya kesadaran para pengusaha untuk membayar pajak. Penelitian ini menggambarkan bahwa Implementasi Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir Nomor 22 Tahun 2010 masih belum efektif. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Implementasi dan Faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambat Implementasi masih menjadi kelemahan yang harus dibenahi oleh Pemerintah Daerah ke depan. Effectiveness of Three Foodservice Equipment Training Interventions for Food and Nutrition Students

This study evaluated students’ (N = 65) reported knowledge, competence, and comfort in using foodservice equipment, as well as confidence in training others after completing one of the following interventions: 1) two food/nutrition courses, and foodservice supervised practice rotations, 2) equipment introduction, and competency exam, and 3) equipment training, practice lab, and competency exam. Foodservice operations and dietetics programs should consider implementing Intervention 3 because there was a significant increase in knowledge, competence, comfort, and confidence using equipment from pre- to post-intervention, it yielded the highest post-intervention scores, and most students received \u3e86% for their actual skill

The Experiences of Being a Full-Time Firefighter: A Qualitative Study

Firefighters are exposed to stress both physically and psychologically on a nearly daily basis, which can have a profound effect on their physical and emotional well-being. In the present qualitative study we explore the effects of being a full time firefighter on both personal and professional aspects of life. Full time firefighters from departments around the southwest Ohio region are being interviewed using a semi-structured format. Those interviews are recorded and transcribed for the purpose of analysis, as we look for common themes among these professionals. Our questions specifically focus on the experiences a firefighter has had while being on call, expectations and motivations when first beginning their career, stressors and coping within the job itself, and how their career choice has affected their familial relationships, health habits, hobbies, and personality. Emerging themes include issues regarding sleep, risk-taking behaviors and habits, and the motivation of helping others

Personal Frustrations of a Full-Time Firefighting Career

In this phenomenological qualitative study, we explored the professional and personal frustrations of being a full-time male firefighter. Themes emerged through analyzing the transcripts of the 26 semi-structured interviews that we conducted. Questions specifically focused on the stress and experiences encountered while on the job and the potential effects that their job has on their personal life, including hobbies, health, and personality. Themes included perceived verbal and physical abuse by the community of the fire service and its services, firefighters’ increased awareness of the environment and how this affects their daily life and the negative/positive implications of the media portrayal of firefighters. We relate the findings of the present study to research on other service-providing professions. Implications of the study include increased awareness and respect for the struggles firefighters endure

Phone Home: Parent-Child Support in College Students\u27 Social Interaction

In this qualitative research study we explored college students’ understanding and appreciation of parental support in social interaction. We conducted semi-structured interviews with 20 college students who were found to have a close relationship with their parents from a previous study (relative to their peers). The first theme indicated that the majority of these students, who already have close relationships with their parents, benefitted from verbal communication, including phone call and texting with their parents. Texting enables the students and parents to remain in constant contact with each other throughout the day. Parents are able to encourage their children, and let them know they are being thought of and prayed for. They are also able to send reminders about important events, responsibilities, and daily encouragement. Phone calls are another form of communication that was reported. These calls enabled parents to hear about their child’s life, specific stressful events, and personal conflicts in a more detailed way than texting. The second theme revealed that Participants also were grateful for their parents’ availability, giving them a sense of support and security. The students commented that they feel loved and important as a result of being a high priority for their parents. The parents’ consistent communication with their child also served as a morale and self-esteem boost. The last theme represented how students use their parents as a source of relief. When students are on the phone with their parents, the student will often fill in the details and emotions about a conflict and the parent can then provide a safe place for the student to process their thoughts

A Qualitative Study of the Motivations and Affiliation Dynamics Involved with a Firefighting Career

We explored the experiences of full-time firefighters in the present phenomenological qualitative study, having conducted semi-structured interviews with 26 male full-time firefighters. Their personal constructs of motivation and affiliation were explored and, within the constructs of motivation, three themes emerged. First, firefighters were motivated by a love of the excitement firefighting provides. Second, firefighters reported that the work schedule, which allows them more time at home, was a motivation. Third (and most emphasized by the firefighters) was an altruistic motivation to help others. Under the construct of affiliation, the firefighters reported a strong sense of brotherhood with their shift-partners, and they extended this brotherhood to all firefighters and even other emergency workers. We relate these findings to the existing body of research regarding the relationship between motivation, affiliation and satisfaction of firefighters

Analisis Efisiensi Bank Umum Syariah Milik BUMN Dengan Metode Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) Periode Tahun 2016 - 2020

This study aims to analyze the efficiency of BUMN Islamic Commercial Banks using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method for the period 2016 – 2020. This study also aims to determine the factors that affect the efficiency of Islamic banks. This research data uses secondary data obtained from the annual financial statements of each bank. The samples used in this study were BRI Syariah Bank, BNI Syariah Bank, and Mandiri Syariah Bank. The data analysis method uses Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) with a Constant Return to Scale (CRS) approach. The results of the study show that (1) the average efficiency of BUMN Sharia Commercial Banks for the period 2016 - 2020 shows an efficient level. (2) The efficiency of Bank BRI Syariah and BNI Syariah shows an efficient level in 2016 to 2020. (3) The efficiency of Bank Syariah Mandiri shows an inefficiency level in 2016, 2018, and 2019, while in 2017 and 2020 it shows a lower level. efficient. (4) Efficiency can be achieved by optimal management in producing inputs and outputs according to the target. (5) The factors that influence the level of bank efficiency externally are economic growth and inflationary conditions. Quantifying the Behavioral Response of Spawning Chum Salmon to Elevated Discharges from Bonneville Dam, Columbia River : Annual Report 2005-2006.

In unimpounded rivers, Pacific salmon (Oncorhynchus spp.) typically spawn under relatively stable stream flows, with exceptions occurring during periodic precipitation events. In contrast, hydroelectric development has often resulted in an artificial hydrograph characterized by rapid changes in discharge and tailwater elevation that occur on a daily, or even an hourly basis, due to power generation (Cushman 1985; Moog 1993). Consequently, populations of Pacific salmon that are known to spawn in main-stem habitats below hydroelectric dams face the risks of changing habitat suitability, potential redd dewatering, and uncertain spawning success (Hamilton and Buell 1976; Chapman et al. 1986; Dauble et al. 1999; Garland et al. 2003; Connor and Pflug 2004; McMichael et al. 2005). Although the direct effects of a variable hydrograph, such as redd dewatering are apparent, specific effects on spawning behavior remain largely unexplored. Chum salmon (O. keta) that spawn below Bonneville Dam on the Columbia River are particularly vulnerable to the effects of water level fluctuations. Although chum salmon generally spawn in smaller tributaries (Johnson et al. 1997), many fish spawn in main-stem habitats below Bonneville Dam near Ives Island (Tomaro et al. 2007; Figure 1). The primary spawning area near Ives Island is shallow and sensitive to changes in water level caused by hydroelectric power generation at Bonneville Dam. In the past, fluctuating water levels have dewatered redds and changed the amount of available spawning habitat (Garland et al. 2003). To minimize these effects, fishery managers attempt to maintain a stable tailwater elevation at Bonneville Dam of 3.5 m (above mean sea level) during spawning, which ensures adequate water is provided to the primary chum salmon spawning area below the mouth of Hamilton Creek (Figure 1). Given the uncertainty of winter precipitation and water supply, this strategy has been effective at restricting spawning to a specific riverbed elevation and providing minimum spawning flows that have the greatest chance of being maintained through egg incubation and fry emergence. However, managing the lower Columbia River for a stable tailwater elevation does not provide much operational flexibility at Bonneville Dam, which has little storage capacity. When river discharges increase due to rain events, the traditional approach has been to pass excess water at night to maintain stable tailwater elevations during the daytime. The underlying assumption of this strategy, referred to as reverse load following, is that fish do not spawn at night. However, Tiffan et al. (2005) showed that this assumption is false by documenting nighttime spawning by chum salmon in the Ives Island area. Similarly, McMichael et al. (2005) reported nighttime spawning by Chinook salmon (O. tshawytscha) in the Columbia River, indicating that diel spawning may be a common occurrence in Pacific salmon. During the latter portion of the chum spawning period in December 2003 and 2004, discharges from Bonneville Dam increased from an average of 3,398 m3/s (tailwater elevation {approx} 3.5 m above mean sea level) during the day to over 5,664 m3/s (tailwater elevation {approx} 5.1 m) at night, with peak discharges of 7,080 m{sup 3}/s (tailwater elevation {approx} 6.1 m). This caused concern among fishery managers regarding the potential effects of these high discharges on this population of spawning chum salmon, which is listed under the Endangered Species Act (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration 1999). We hypothesized that increased water velocities associated with elevated tailwaters might alter chum salmon spawning behavior if water velocities at redd locations increased beyond the range of suitability (>0.8 m/s; Salo 1991). In 2005, we investigated the movement and behavioral responses of spawning chum salmon at Ives Island to increased tailwater elevations at Bonneville Dam. We used acoustic telemetry to determine if the higher velocities associated with increased tailwater elevations caused fish to leave their redds. We related the duration fish were away from redds and the distances moved to water velocities estimated from a two-dimensional hydrodynamic model. Finally, we described specific changes in spawning behavior (e.g., nest digging; swimming activity) during elevated-tailwater tests using a dual-frequency identification sonar (DIDSON)

Evaluation of the changed properties of aquatic animals after dam construction using ecological network analysis

Dam construction results in variations of hydrology, river morphology and habitat and the biota associated with the reservoir change significantly compared to the assemblage before dam construction in order to match these changed environmental conditions. Some attempts so far have been made to ascertain the changed properties of aquatilia due to dam construction. Most of them, however, were focused on perturbances to single factors, such as rearing habitats, reproduction and migration routes, etc. Few have been done on the performance of aquatilia from the whole-ecosystem perspective. Herein, we evaluate the structural properties of aquatic animals and their complex ecological relationships within the ecosystem before and after dam construction based on ecological network analysis. This study provides a feasible way for integral ecosystem evaluation with the application of ecological network analysis to river ecosystem subjected to human disturbance
