    This study aims to determine the level of motivation influence on the quality of service on the Procurement Services Unit Mamuju Utara.Jenis quantitative research with survey approach. This study population Procurement Services Unit employees and partners in the Procurement Services Unit of North Mamuju regency are 54 people consisting of 14 members, Procurement Unit and the 40 partners that are determined by census so that the total sample of 54 respondents. Data collection techniques including observation, questionnaire, and documentation, while data analysis techniques using simple linear regression.The results showed the influence of motivation on the quality of service at the Procurement Unit of North Mamuju regency is determined by physiological needs, safety needs, social needs, esteem needs and the needs of the influence diri.Besar actualization of 63.3% to the level of relations "strong". Descriptive analysis shows the dimensions of self-actualization needs had the highest percentage, in terms of implementation of tasks and employees have the skills means that employees Procurement Services Unit is able to do a good job and they have the skills to do the job, while the dimensions of the lower is the need for security in case of a guarantee health and safety working conditions, which means that employees of the Procurement Services Unit of North Mamuju regency lack health insurance and they feel less safe to do work in his office room

    Steven Patrick Fernandez’s Transcreation of Poetry and the Integrated Performing Arts Guild’s SugaTula/Crossing Poetry: An Autotheoretical Analysis

    This is an analysis of Steven Patrick Fernandez’s transcreation of poetry through the Integrated Performing Arts Guild’s SugaTula. I use autotheory as I retell, examine, and reflect on my experiences on SugaTula and on Fernandez’s transcreation of poetry. From my autotheoretical analysis, I then situate Fernandez’s and IPAG’s SugaTula in the field of translation studies. The study reveals that Fernandez’s transcreation of poetry through SugaTula is a concept which is not only significant for theater practitioners but also for reading and literature teachers. Transcreation can also be used as a method to explore not only poetry but other various literary pieces. Fernandez’s transcreation may overlap with distillation but it is in the overlapping of meanings of these creative processes that research and experiments can be done. Furthermore, SugaTula may involve the process of poetry translation but in its entirety, it is a trans-media performance in which the original poem is used with other mediums such as music and dance; thus, SugaTula is transcreation and not translation

    Effects of syndicators and risk management on equity pricing of the LIHTC

    Thesis (M.C.P.)--Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dept. of Urban Studies and Planning, 2001.Includes bibliographical references (leaves 59-60).A study was carried out to examine the impacts of risk characteristics on equity pricing of tax credits issued under the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program (LIHTC). The results indicate that credit pricing is not correlated with most traditional real estate risk factors. We hypothesize that risks are mitigated by the services of syndicators, who act as intermediaries between developers and investors, thus managing the perceived risk of the investment. We tested this theory by examining the impact of individual syndicators on credit prices. Additionally, we tested the effect of syndicator fees and other syndicator-specific fixed effects on credit prices. Findings suggest that syndicator fixed effects and fees impact pricing, as do certain tax structure characteristics of the LIHTC developments. Developers appear to be less pricesensitive than investors, reflecting perhaps different levels of negotiating power in their relationships with syndicators, as well as lack of perfect information. Investors appear to focus more on internal rate of return than on price per unit of credit in their investment decisions, thereby confusing the relationship between syndicator effects and credit prices for investors. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan 2 siklus. Tiap siklus dilaksanakan dua kali pertemuan dengan tahap: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Fokus penelitian yakni 1) Penerapan Model Pebelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Picture and picture dalam Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar IPA pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 183 Garanta Kecamatan Ujung Loe Kabupaten Bulukumba dengan menggunakan media gambar sebagai alat bantu dalam proses pembelajaran, 2) hasil belajar IPA siswa yang diperoleh dari hasil tes setiap akhir siklus. Subjek Penelitian yakni guru dan 27 Siswa yang terdiri dari 12 siswa laki-laki dan 15 siswa perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. Data yang dikumpulkan selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa aktifitas guru dan siswa pada siklus I masih menunjukan kategori cukup. Sedangkan pada siklus II aktifitas guru dan siswa meningkat menjadi kategori baik. Hal tersebut diikuti dengan meningktanya hasil belajar siswa dari kategori cukup pada siklus I menjadi kategori baik sekali pada siklus II. Dengan demikian penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe picture and picture dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 183 Garanta kecamatan Ujung Loe kabupaten Bulukumba

    A partire dall'esperienza ricerca sul campo dell'autore nel Messico indigeno (nella comunitĂ  Huave di San Mateo del Mar, Oaxaca), il saggio rilegge il delicato e sfuggente equilibrio fra biografia ed etnografia attraverso la lente dell'"economia delle pratiche" di Pierre Bourdieu. Da questa prospettiva le tante forme di 'negoziazione' sul campo attraverso cui prende forma il sapere etnografico, appaiono come diverse facce di un lavoro di ricerca fondato sulla 'convertibilitĂ ' di un interesse esistenziale di fondo (che spinge il ricercatore alla ricerca sul campo...) in un sapere disinteressato (l'etnografia), a sua volta convertibile in un 'sapere impegnato', condivisibile con gli stessi attori locali

    En los últimos veinte años, el 'viraje pluralista' en ámbito político y legal parece haber volcado el discurso indigenista de la "incorporación" que fue la base de las políticas educativas de los pueblos indígenas en México, como en muchos países de América Latina, durante buena parte del siglo XX. Sin embargo, al trabajar desde una perspectiva etnográfica, este cambio se puede leer de una manera diferente, mediante la observación de un proceso inverso que el discurso oficial desconoce, o sea la " incorporación" de la escuela en las sociedades indígenas. Este artículo, fundado sobre una larga experiencia de investigación de campo en la comunidad indígena huave de San Mateo del Mar en el sur de México, tiene como objetivo lo de reflexionar sobre el papel de la escuela en la autorización del discurso identitario. A través del análisis de una lección de gramática en lengua indígena (ombeayiüts / boca de nosotros/), quisiera mostrar cómo el discurso de la identidad se manifiesta en el aula en la interferencia entre el uso de la lengua materna y de la lengua española; este discurso es el mismo que, desde los años 90 del siglo pasado, autoriza el uso del pronombre "ikoots" ("nosotros" en forma inclusiva) como nuevo endo-etnónimo y, paralelamente, la definición de un papel político de los maestros indígenas en comunidad
