Explicit examples of DIM constraints for network matrix models
Dotsenko-Fateev and Chern-Simons matrix models, which describe Nekrasov
functions for SYM theories in different dimensions, are all incorporated into
network matrix models with the hidden Ding-Iohara-Miki (DIM) symmetry. This
lifting is especially simple for what we call balanced networks. Then, the Ward
identities (known under the names of Virasoro/W-constraints or loop equations
or regularity condition for qq-characters) are also promoted to the DIM level,
where they all become corollaries of a single identity.Comment: 46 page
Diurnal difference in CAR mRNA expression
BACKGROUND: The constitutive androstane receptor (CAR, NR1I3) plays a key role in the transcriptional activation of genes that encode xenobiotic/steroid and drug metabolizing enzymes. RESULTS: The expression of CAR mRNA throughout the circadian rhythm is reported for the first time in phase with the clock gene Bmal1 and in antiphase with the clock-controlled gene Rev-erbα mRNAs, with a peak at Zeitgeber time (ZT) 20 and a trough at ZT8, and a peak/trough ratio of 2.0. The diurnal difference in CAR mRNA expression might underlie the 1.7-fold difference in the magnitude of the PB-dependent induction of CYP2B1/2 mRNA. Histopathology of Incidental Findings in Cynomolgus Monkeys (Macaca Fascicularis) Used in Toxicity Studies
The purpose of our publication is to widely communicate pictures of spontaneous findings
occurring in cynomolgus monkeys. Focal lymphoplasmacytic infiltration is commonly seen in
the general organs. The frequency and severity of these lesions may be influenced by the
administration of drugs with an effect on the immune system. Lymphoplasmacytic
infiltration in the lamina propria of the stomach is also frequently seen in cynomolgus
monkeys, and it is caused mainly by a Helicobacter pylori infection.
Various degrees of brown pigments are observed in various organs, and it is possible to
distinguish the material of the pigments by its morphological features and site. A
focal/segmental glomerular lesion is occasionally seen in a section of the kidney, and the
minimal lesion has no influence on the urinalysis. We showed the common glomerular lesions
in HE-stained sections, as well as in PAM- or PAS-stained sections, for understanding the
details. Young and pubertal monkeys are usually used in toxicity studies; therefore,
understanding various maturation stages of the genital system is important. In particular,
the female genital system needs to be understood in the morphology, because their cyclic
changes are different from other laboratory animals. Thus, we present the normal features
of the cyclic changes of the female genital organs. Furthermore, we provide more
information on spontaneous findings in cynomolgus monkeys for exact diagnoses in toxicity
studies

The title compound, [Sn2(C4H9)2(C12H20)2], has two 1-stannacyclopentadiene skeletons related by inversion symmetry located at the mid-point of the Sn—Sn bond [2.7682 (2) Å]. Thus, the asymmetric unit comprises one half-molecule. The planarity of the stannacyclopentadiene ring is illustrated by the dihedral angle of 0.3 (1)°, defined by the C4 and C—Sn—C planes. To avoid steric repulsion, the two stannole rings are oriented in an anti fashion through the Sn—Sn bond. These structural features are similar to those of other bistannoles
Application of precise neutron focusing mirrors for neutron reflectometry: latest results and future prospects
超精密中性子集束ミラーによる電極界面のナノ構造解析技術の実用化 --測定精度の劇的な向上に向けた大きなマイルストーン--. 京都大学プレスリリース. 2020-10-28.Neutron reflectometry (NR) is a powerful tool for providing insight into the evolution of interfacial structures, for example via operando measurements for electrode–electrolyte interfaces, with a spatial resolution of nanometres. The time resolution of NR, which ranges from seconds to minutes depending on the reflection intensity, unfortunately remains low, particularly for small samples made of state-of-the-art materials even with the latest neutron reflectometers. To overcome this problem, a large-area focusing supermirror manufactured with ultra-precision machining has been employed to enhance the neutron flux at the sample, and a gain of approximately 100% in the neutron flux was achieved. Using this mirror, a reflectivity measurement was performed on a thin cathode film on an SrTiO3 substrate in contact with an electrolyte with a small area of 15 × 15 mm. The reflectivity data obtained with the focusing mirror were consistent with those without the mirror, but the acquisition time was shortened to half that of the original, which is an important milestone for rapid measurements with a limited reciprocal space. Furthermore, a method for further upgrades that will reveal the structural evolution with a wide reciprocal space is proposed, by applying this mirror for multi-incident-angle neutron reflectometry
Quantum Entanglement of Baby Universes
We study quantum entanglements of baby universes which appear in
non-perturbative corrections to the OSV formula for the entropy of extremal
black holes in Type IIA string theory compactified on the local Calabi-Yau
manifold defined as a rank 2 vector bundle over an arbitrary genus G Riemann
surface. This generalizes the result for G=1 in hep-th/0504221.
Non-perturbative terms can be organized into a sum over contributions from baby
universes, and the total wave-function is their coherent superposition in the
third quantized Hilbert space. We find that half of the universes preserve one
set of supercharges while the other half preserve a different set, making the
total universe stable but non-BPS. The parent universe generates baby universes
by brane/anti-brane pair creation, and baby universes are correlated by
conservation of non-normalizable D-brane charges under the process. There are
no other source of entanglement of baby universes, and all possible states are

Curated genome annotation of Oryza sativa ssp. japonica and comparative genome analysis with Arabidopsis thaliana
We present here the annotation of the complete genome of rice Oryza sativa L. ssp. japonica cultivar Nipponbare. All functional annotations for proteins and non-protein-coding RNA (npRNA) candidates were manually curated. Functions were identified or inferred in 19,969 (70%) of the proteins, and 131 possible npRNAs (including 58 antisense transcripts) were found. Almost 5000 annotated protein-coding genes were found to be disrupted in insertional mutant lines, which will accelerate future experimental validation of the annotations. The rice loci were determined by using cDNA sequences obtained from rice and other representative cereals. Our conservative estimate based on these loci and an extrapolation suggested that the gene number of rice is ~32,000, which is smaller than previous estimates. We conducted comparative analyses between rice and Arabidopsis thaliana and found that both genomes possessed several lineage-specific genes, which might account for the observed differences between these species, while they had similar sets of predicted functional domains among the protein sequences. A system to control translational efficiency seems to be conserved across large evolutionary distances. Moreover, the evolutionary process of protein-coding genes was examined. Our results suggest that natural selection may have played a role for duplicated genes in both species, so that duplication was suppressed or favored in a manner that depended on the function of a gene
