Electromagnetic emission from hot medium measured by the PHENIX experiment at RHIC
Electromagnetic radiation has been of interest in heavy ion collisions
because they shed light on early stages of the collisions where hadronic probes
do not provide direct information since hadronization and hadronic interactions
occur later. The latest results on photon measurement from the PHENIX
experiment at RHIC reflect thermodynamic properties of the matter produced in
the heavy ion collisions. An unexpectedly large positive elliptic flow measured

On a divisibility relation for Lucas sequences

Tunneling effect on composite fermion pairing state in bilayer quantum Hall system
We discuss the composite fermion pairing state in bilayer quantum Hall
systems. After the evaluation of the range of the inter-layer separation in
which the quantum Hall state is stabilized, we discuss the effect of
inter-layer tunneling on the composite fermion pairing state at \nu=1/2. We
show that there is a cusp at the transition point between the Halperin (3,3,1)

Experimental demonstration of quantum teleportation of a squeezed state
Quantum teleportation of a squeezed state is demonstrated experimentally. Due
to some inevitable losses in experiments, a squeezed vacuum necessarily becomes
a mixed state which is no longer a minimum uncertainty state. We establish an
operational method of evaluation for quantum teleportation of such a state
using fidelity, and discuss the classical limit for the state. The measured
fidelity for the input state is 0.85 0.05 which is higher than the
classical case of 0.730.04. We also verify that the teleportation process
operates properly for the nonclassical state input and its squeezed variance is
certainly transferred through the process. We observe the smaller variance of

Direct photons ~basis for characterizing heavy ion collisions~
After years of experimental and theoretical efforts, direct photons become a
strong and reliable tool to establish the basic characteristics of a hot and
dense matter produced in heavy ion collisions. The recent direct photon
