Anomaly of the Left Anterior Descending Coronary Artery Arising from the Right Sinus of Valsalva and Ventricular Septal Defect in Adult: A Rare Case

Anomaly of the left anterior descending (LAD) coronary artery arising from the right sinus of valsalva is frequently seen with tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). The association of the LAD coronary artery with ventricular septal defect (VSD) is uncommon. We described an anomalous origin of the LAD coronary artery from the right sinus of valsalva with ventricular septal defect in a 38-year-old male patient suffering from atypical angina. The LAD coronary artery arose from the right sinus of valsalva, just next to the right coronary artery. There was a single opening in the membranous part of the interventricular septum. From this case, we suggest that angiography is useful for both documenting anomalies of the LAD coronary artery associated with VSD and for determining the safest surgical procedures

Proteomic profile of KSR1-regulated signalling in response to genotoxic agents in breast cancer

Kinase suppressor of Ras 1 (KSR1) has been implicated in tumorigenesis in multiple cancers, including skin, pancreatic and lung carcinomas. However, our recent study revealed a role of KSR1 as a tumour suppressor in breast cancer, the expression of which is potentially correlated with chemotherapy response. Here, we aimed to further elucidate the KSR1-regulated signalling in response to genotoxic agents in breast cancer. Stable isotope labelling by amino acids in cell culture (SILAC) coupled to high-resolution mass spectrometry (MS) was implemented to globally characterise cellular protein levels induced by KSR1 in the presence of doxorubicin or etoposide. The acquired proteomic signature was compared and GO-STRING analysis was subsequently performed to illustrate the activated functional signalling networks. Furthermore, the clinical associations of KSR1 with identified targets and their relevance in chemotherapy response were examined in breast cancer patients. We reveal a comprehensive repertoire of thousands of proteins identified in each dataset and compare the unique proteomic profiles as well as functional connections modulated by KSR1 after doxorubicin (Doxo-KSR1) or etoposide (Etop-KSR1) stimulus. From the up-regulated top hits, several proteins, including STAT1, ISG15 and TAP1 are also found to be positively associated with KSR1 expression in patient samples. Moreover, high KSR1 expression, as well as high abundance of these proteins, is correlated with better survival in breast cancer patients who underwent chemotherapy. In aggregate, our data exemplify a broad functional network conferred by KSR1 with genotoxic agents and highlight its implication in predicting chemotherapy response in breast cancer

Nail Lesions in Dogs and Cats: A Randomized Clinical Study

Background: The nail is the horn-like structure of the fingertip. Pathologies in the nail and nail bed of cats and dogs may be primarily related to the nail or may be the clinical symptom of many systemic diseases. Symmetrical or asymmetrical localization of nail lesions may also give clues about the underlying diseases. Although nail pathology in dogs and cats has been previously described, there has not been a randomized clinical study in which nail diseases have been evaluated. Therefore, in this clinical study, it was aimed to randomly determine the nail lesions encountered in dogs and cats brought to our clinics with complaints of another disease and to evaluate the nail lesions encountered. Materials, Methods & Results: The material of the study was formed 26 cats and 35 dogs in different age, gender and breed, which was brought to surgery clinics for different reasons within 1 year and has randomized nail problems. Anamnesis was taken from the patient owners and all the nails of cats and dogs were examined with the help of a magnifying glass in terms of nail integrity, missing or excessive nail formation, nail lesions and pain presence, nail - nail bed and periconnective nail tissue swelling and exudation. All findings were recorded in the “Nail Pathology Follow-up and Evaluation Form”. After nail lesions were divided according to their extremity, the nail lesions of all patients were 1st divided into 2 groups. Asymmetric and symmetrical distribution rates were determined for each nail lesion in groups. Then, with only 1 or more nail lesions in 1 extremity were grouped asymmetrically, and those with 1 or more lesions in multiple extremities were grouped symmetrically. Nail lesions caused by systemic disease were specifically treated and excessive and deformed nails were cut properly by preserving normal nail anatomy. In dogs, 59.56% of the nail lesions were located on the front limbs and 40.44% on the hind limbs, while 41.11% of the nail lesions in cats were located on the front and 58.89% on the hind limbs. In dogs, 62.86% of nail lesions were symmetrical and 37.14% were asymmetrical. In cats, the rates of symmetrical and asymmetrical nail lesions were 38.46% and 61.54%, respectively. In dogs, the nail lesion observed asymmetrically was onychomalacia, while the lesion observed symmetrically is onycholysis. The nail examination findings revealed the most common nail lesion was onychogryposis in 42.85% of the dogs. Onychogryposis was found on the forelimbs in 57.69% and was symmetrical in 60%. In cats, paronychia was the most common nail lesion with a rate of 50%. This lesion was observed asymmetrically in 76.92% of the cases and 56.25% of the cases were located on the front limbs. Discussion: The nails of cats and dogs are biomechanically and histopathologically different from those of humans. Although these terms are not sufficient for the specific diagnosis of the disease, they provide clues about the pathology. In dogs and cats, nails should be trimmed properly and at regular intervals to maintain foot health and help the locomotor system to function normally. Abnormally shaped or deformed nails predispose to gait problems, trauma and the development of some diseases such as pododermatitis. The nails, which are part of the locomotor system, are affected by many local and systemic diseases and nail lesions are often overlooked in clinical practice. In this randomized clinical study, nail lesions encountered in dogs and cats were evaluated comprehensively with their etiologies and clinical descriptions, and the importance of nail diseases in small animal practice was re-emphasized. Análisis del inadecuado proceso de desmembración de terrenos originarios afectados con la ley de reforma agraria ley Nro. 17716 en el distrito de Caracoto - San Roman, 2022

El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la existencia de un inadecuado proceso de desmembración de terrenos originarios como consecuencia de la ley de reforma agraria en el distrito de Caracoto durante el año 2022. La muestra como extracto de la población se ha considerado bajo el sistema no probabilístico por conveniencia del autor que asciende a 35 personas, dentro de ellos se tiene a 05 funcionarios de la Municipalidad Distrital de Caracoto, 10 Alcaldes de Centros Poblados, 10 presidentes de comunidades campesinas y 10 tenientes gobernadores del distrito de Caracoto; el enfoque que se utilizó para el presente trabajo de investigación fue el cualitativo, donde se utilizó la información sobre la doctrina y fuentes de los derechos fundamentales relacionados al proceso de desmembración de terrenos originarios afectados con la ley de reforma agraria en el distrito de Caracoto; el estudio obedece tuvo un alcance de nivel explicativo jurídico; se utilizó el diseño de corte longitudinal explicativo bajo el modelo del diseño exploratorio de carácter no experimental, con un diseño descriptivo - jurídico. Así mismo se concluye en el presente estudio que: Se ha logrado determinar que actualmente existe un inadecuado proceso de desmembración de terrenos originarios como consecuencia de la ley de reforma agraria dentro del Distrito de Caracoto, por cuanto las comunidades campesinas actualmente son considerados como bienes que están revestidos de su historia, donde viven su presente y desarrollarán su futuro, pero muy a pesar de esta situación, nuestro ordenamiento jurídico actual ha cerrado diferencias al momento de otorgar títulos de propiedad a las comunidades campesinas como terrenos originarios, desarrollando sendos conflictos sociales y legales, por que a la fecha no existe un cuerpo normativo que detalle la naturaleza integral y esencial del mundo originario y de las comunidades campesinas

La auditoría realizada a la empresa Impulsores S.A.C mediante el tipo de revisión administrativa al sector de los recursos humanos en donde buscaremos el adecuado nivel de contratación del personal administrativo, ya que la empresa en mención se dedica a la actividad de mensajería, hoy en día las diferentes empresas tienen diferentes modalidades de contratación de un personal o personal en las diferentes áreas de trabajo en donde la gran mayoría de los trabajadores por la misma razón de querer laborar o no haber tenido un trabajo estable se abstienen de reclamar sobre sus beneficios sociales de las cuales deberían de tener por ley, para lo cual se está impulsando el grado de evaluación administrativa a todo el personal de recursos humanos para ver la adecuada contratación de las personas que trabajan en la empresa Impulsores S.A.C. Mediante las diferentes revisiones que se debería de hacer a cada área de todas las empresas del Perú, tomando como un objetivo de tener un personal calificado para la empresa en donde no solo se observé el esfuerzo humano de las personas que si no también se vea la parte formal de los fundadores de las empresas al momento de retribuir sus beneficios sociales, en la auditoría realizada a la empresa Impulsores las cuales se obtuvieron resultados muy favorables al momento de la contratación de su personal, pero está de más decir que las empresas también deben de tener un plan estratégico para toda su área de trabajo para de esta manera no tener repercusiones a futuro con cualquier entidad pública del país
