    This paper describes the development of a shape memory alloy SMA of CuZnAl to produce coupling for unite pipes; for which the solid-state transformation process was obtained under atmospheric pressure.聽 The characterization of the chemical composition was determined by Spectrometry of Optical Emission. The temperatures of the phase change were determined with a DSC thermal study, whilst the structure of martensite was identified by optical microscopy under room temperature. Afterwards, it is shown a graphic of effort against temperature of an alloy type SMA that was obtained through a shaped mathematical model and simulation using finite element combining experimental data. The experiment concludes with a test of tension of the coupling with the tubing of copper to determine the force of the union.En este trabajo se reporta el desarrollo de una aleaci贸n de memoria de forma (SMA) de CuZnAl, obtenida bajo condiciones de presi贸n atmosf茅rica, para producir acoples para unir tuber铆a. La caracterizaci贸n de su composici贸n qu铆mica se determin贸 por Espectrometr铆a de Emisi贸n 脫ptica. Las temperaturas de cambio de fase se determinaron por medio de un estudio t茅rmico DSC. Por microscop铆a 贸ptica se identific贸 la fase martensita a temperatura ambiente. A trav茅s de un modelado matem谩tico y la simulaci贸n por elemento finito combinando datos experimentales, se obtuvo la gr谩fica de esfuerzo contra temperatura de la aleaci贸n tipo SMA. El experimento concluy贸 con una prueba de tensi贸n del acople con la tuber铆a de cobre para determinar la fuerza de la uni贸n
