    Subterranean termites Coptotermes curvignathus has found as pest in oil palm plantation. The research aimed to control the termites in oil palm plantation using Hexaflumuron bait with different dosage. Location of research was oil palm plantation at Purun village in Mempawah Regency. The study was conducted by a completely randomized design method. The research treatment was dose of Hexaflumuron termite bait, consisting of 30 gram and 60 gram. Three blocks was choosing as a sample treatment consists of block H 35, block H 38 and block H 39. Hexaflumuron bait has weight 30 gram. Treatment dose of 30 gram was conducted with lay down the bait of Hexaflumuron at the mud tunnel of termites in the trunk of oil palm. Treatment dose of 60 gram was conducted with lay down two bait of Hexaflumuron at the mud tunnel of termites in the trunk of oil palm in the different place. Then inspection of bait consumption was conducted every week. Data of bait consumption and termites elimination was collected. Results of the research showed that Hexaflumuron bait was consumed by termites up to 100%. The bait has attracted the termites to consume and non-repellent to termites. After four until seven week consumption the Hexaflumuron bait, termites eliminated from the oil palm. The result of variance analysis showed that there was no significance difference between the dose of 30 gram and 60 gram  on the termite consumption level. Hexaflumuron bait was effective for termites elimination in oil palm plantation within four until seven weeks and dose 30 gram was optimum for termites elimination.Keywords: Coptotermes curvignathus, hexaflumuron, oil palm, termites bait, termites contro

    Conceptual Framework for Managing Uncertainty in a Collaborative Agri-Food Supply Chain Context

    [EN] Agri-food supply chains are subjected to many sources of uncertainty. If these uncertainties are not managed properly, they can have a negative impact on the agri-food supply chain (AFSC) performance, its customers, and the environment. In this sense, collaboration is proposed as a possible solution to reduce it. For that, a conceptual framework (CF) for managing uncertainty in a collaborative context is proposed. In this context, this paper seeks to answer the following research questions: What are the existing uncertainty sources in the AFSCs? Can collaboration be used to reduce the uncertainty of AFSCs? Which elements can integrate a CF for managing uncertainty in a collaborative AFSC?     Business process management and supply chain collaboration: a critical comparison

    The link between a firm and supply chain (SC) members has been recognised as one of the key issues for ensuring business success and achieving competitive advantage. Indeed, working across organisational boundaries is required to accomplish effective responses to customers’ needs. Our preliminary research confirmed that there are positive relationships between business process management (BPM), supply chain collaboration (SCC), collaborative advantage and organisational performance. This study is a step further and uses a multiple case design to illuminate the results and gain a greater understanding from extensive discussions about these relationships. By means of semi-structured interviews, the three main issues were identified as: (1) the link between BPM and organisational performance; (2) the link between BPM and SCC; and (3) the contextual factors and benefits achieved from working collaboratively with SC partners. The different scenarios of the link between BPM and SCC were developed in a taxonomy, and the case studies were used to illustrate the experience of intra- and inter-organisational practices in the developing economy of Thailand. The case studies’ results explain in depth that both BPM and SCC are important for improving organisational performance and competitiveness. BPM not only improves organisational performance directly, but also assists with collaborative activities that in turn help to improve internal capabilities. Additionally, the comparisons in issues relating to firm size, industry type, relationship closeness and relationship length were also included in this study

In-depth semi-structured interviews were undertaken involving four CAPD patients who were selected through purposive sampling. The participants were asked questions about their engagement experiences with their health care professionals.Results: Six main engagement activities were derived from the interview analysis: obtaining initial knowledge, developing knowledge and skills, feeling confident, following clinical advice, updating health condition, and supporting CAPD therapy.Conclusion: Patients engagement activities played an important role in CAPD therapy. The engagement activities covered the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral dimensions. Obtaining initial knowledge as well as developing knowledge and skills are essential engagement activities before patients perform CAPD therapy.     Collaborative Production Chains: A Case-Study of Two Agri-Food Companies in Brazil

    Part 2: Production Management in Food Supply ChainsInternational audienceA collaborative production chain is often understood as having a known degree of relationship among members of the chain to share risks and benefits that result in higher commercial performance than individual organizations. The current study aimed to analyze two production chains of cashew and honey in Northeastern of Brazil which work collaboratively. Characteristics of the chains were learned from interviews with technical personnel from agricultural extension office and farmers. Results indicate that despite the best harvest cashew farmers might have when the crops are pollinated by bees both partners are not fully satisfied with the collaboration. A partner might benefit from management items that help to assess collaboration performance more effectively such as joint efforts, sharing activities, collaboration value, adaptation, trust, commitment, continuous improvement, coordination, and stability. Supply chain collaboration improves the performance advantage and has a significant influence on firm performance; however, such an initiative needs to be understood as a win-win association by the partners to achieve the expected success

According to some managers, the strategy is the development of dynamic logistics networks based on a collaborative environment. However, the absence of mechanisms to detect and even anticipate potential opportunistic behaviour is an obstacle to the proliferation of this way of working. The article aims to understand the role of trust to sustainability of collaborative processes. The paper begins by discussing the trust properties. It is then discussed how statistical control charts can be used to support the trust monitoring of each member within a collaborative ecosystem. The control charts’ tools suggested in this paper are the Z control charts for trust level monitoring and the Zi capacity index. Finally, it is discussed how this approach can be applied to dynamic logistics networks within the context of a collaborative ecosystem
