Рівень життя українського селянства в 1943–1950 рр. (на матеріалах центральних областей України (Standard of living of rural population central areas of Ukraine (years 1943–1950)
Стаття присвячена аналізу матеріального становища сільського населення центральних областей України в роки відбудови економіки. Розглянуто вплив різних факторів на
матеріальне становище селян, а також джерела їхніх прибутків.
(The article analyzes the material position of the rural population of the central areas of Ukraine during the period of re-establishment of the economy (1943–1950) on the basis of numerous literature and unpublished sources. The influence of different factors on the financial position
of the villagers and the main sources of income were investigated. Its results gave the author an
opportunity to make a general conclusion, that the chief causes of the Central Ukraine village social sphere low level development at the reconstruction period were not only the consequences of war, but also the existence of the administrative-command system which, while forming state
budget, would re-distribute the funds for the profit of heavy industry, neglecting village natives’
social needs as well as folk welfare improvement.

Data informed physical models for district heating grids with distributed heat sources to understand thermal and hydraulic aspects
The aim of the study was to develop data informed physical models for simulation of district heating (DH) grids for better presentation of hydraulic and thermal aspects in the DH grids integrating heat prosumers. A DH grid organized as a ring and integrating a heat prosumer from a data center was analyzed. In this study, an extensive analysis for thermal and hydraulic aspects of theDH grid considering different configurations of distributed sources was performed. Different configurations for the prosumer connection, the return to return and the return to supply, together with the pressure and temperature control, were investigated. The results showed that increasing the share of renewable heat from the prosumer to the DH grid caused a pressure imbalance in substations close to it. Variable speed pump control was the solution for these issues and it gave up to 34% electricity savings. Lowering temperature levels in the DH network led to a decrease in DH heat losses of up to 14%. The return to supply configuration showed advantages in integrating the prosumer, as regards lower return temperatures and better waste heat utilization. The results indicated the main hydraulic and thermal features of integrating the prosumer in the DH grid
Modern Antiplatelet Therapy for Percutaneous Coronary Intervention. How to Make the Right Choice?
Dual antiplatelet therapy is the most important step in acute coronary syndrome (ACS) treatment. The new generation of inhibitors of P2Y12 platelet receptors (prasugrel and ticagrelor) provide more pronounced platelet inhibition than clopidogrel. The drugs differ in pharmacodynamics and platelet reactivity tests due to different mechanisms of binding to P2Y12 receptors. The antiplatelet effect of prasugrel and ticagrelor provides clinical benefit and better prognosis in patients with various forms of ACS. In patients with ST-segment elevation ACS prasugrel and ticagrelor are preferred over clopi-dogrel due to their higher efficacy and better clinical outcomes, and currently have preferential positions in guidelines compared to clopidogrel. The comparison of prasugrel versus ticagrelor (ISAR-REACT 5 trial) demonstrated superiority of prasugrel over ticagrelor in patients with ST-segment elevation ACS, for whom an invasive evaluation is planned and in early invasive treatment non-ST-segment elevation ACS. The choice of a drug for dual antiplatelet therapy in various clinical situations remains controversial. The latest ESC guidelines on non-ST elevation ACS (2020) [1] demonstrate the possible preference for prasugrel in patients with ACS without ST-segment elevation undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention. Current article demonstrates the results of recent clinical studies and the real clinical data regarding antiplatelet therapy in patients with coronary interventions. The indications for the use of P2Y12 platelet inhibitors in certain groups of patients are outlined. Treatment selection of the most effective and safe drugs in patients with ACS is highlighted according to the updated European guidelines
Unoccupied topological surface state in BiTeSe
Bias voltage dependent scattering of the topological surface state is studied
by scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy for a clean surface of the
topological insulator BiTeSe. A strong warping of constant energy
contours in the unoccupied part of the spectrum is found to lead to a
spin-selective scattering. The topological surface state persists to higher
energies in the unoccupied range far beyond the Dirac point, where it coexists
with the bulk conduction band. This finding sheds light on the spin and charge
dynamics over the wide energy range and opens a way to designing
opto-spintronic devices.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figure
Unoccupied Topological States on Bismuth Chalcogenides
The unoccupied part of the band structure of topological insulators
BiTeSe () is studied by angle-resolved two-photon
photoemission and density functional theory. For all surfaces
linearly-dispersing surface states are found at the center of the surface
Brillouin zone at energies around 1.3 eV above the Fermi level. Theoretical
analysis shows that this feature appears in a spin-orbit-interaction induced
and inverted local energy gap. This inversion is insensitive to variation of
electronic and structural parameters in BiSe and BiTeSe. In
BiTe small structural variations can change the character of the local
energy gap depending on which an unoccupied Dirac state does or does not exist.
Circular dichroism measurements confirm the expected spin texture. From these
findings we assign the observed state to an unoccupied topological surface
state
Hybrid Plasma-Catalytic Reforming of Ethanol into Synthesis Gas: Experiment and Modeling
Understanding of the plasma-assisted reforming of hydrocarbons requires a combined application of the experimental studies of reforming systems and the kinetics modeling of reforming processes. Experiments were conducted on a system with a wide-aperture rotating gliding discharge with atmospheric air used as a plasma gas. Reforming parameters essential for the kinetics modelling of the reforming process were obtained. The influence of water addition method on the product composition of plasma-catalytic ethanol reforming was investigated
Myth in the structure of national consciousness
In the context of globalization processes, the problem of nations and national selfconsciousness has become one of the most widely discussed in the modern social sciences and humanities. Within the framework of globalization approaches, a nation is viewed as a transitional formation between traditional locality and planetary interdependence. According to modern theories, the model of a nation is built on the basis of Western European developmental patterns. From such viewpoint, the characterization of ethnicity is rejected, as a feature of “primitive”, “pre-political” societies as marginal groups doomed to assimilation into the existing structures. The central problem of ethnical belonging is the issue of origin, the restoration of cultural and historical memory and the construction of the “appropriate past”, which would assist in solving the problems of the present. The core of any national culture is national-ethnic self-consciousness which is the key factor in the national identity formation. It is pointed out that certain types of myths are inseparable from the ethnic identity. Today, researchers speak of the process of “remythologization”. For Russia, which has always been a multiethnic state, the problem of scientific definition of nations, ethnic groups, national and ethnic consciousness has a special practical significance. In Russia and the post-Soviet space, the activation of mythological thinking has its own specifics. Keywords: Nations, Ethnicity, National consciousness, Myth, Globalizatio
