The present study examines the relationships between defeat, entrapment, suicidal ideation, thwarted belongingness, and perceived burdensomeness through the Integrated Motivational-Volitional (IMV) Model of Suicidal Behaviour in a sample of Turkish young adults. The sample consisted of 451 individuals (72.5% females, Mage= 25.20). The correlation analyses revealed significant relationships between defeat, entrapment, suicidal ideation, thwarted belongingness, perceived burdensomeness in the expected directions. Mediation and moderation analyses partly confirmed the assumptions of the motivational phase of the IMV model; entrapment played a mediating role between defeat and suicidal ideation, and thwarted belongingness (but not perceived burdensomeness) had a moderating role in the pathway between entrapment and suicidal ideation. These findings add a new dimension to the understanding of suicide risk and potential protective factors through the IMV model, which was tested for the first time in the Turkish population. It is anticipated that this study will contribute to suicide prevention intervention strategies, especially for young adults, at-risk group for suicide in Turkey

Background/aim: The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of Controlling Nutritional Status (CONUT) score on the prognosis in patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Materials and methods: The present study was a retrospective study. The CONUT score was calculated based on serum albumin, total cholesterol and lymphocyte levels. This study included a total of 266 patients, 131 (49.2%) were female and 135 (50.8%) were male. The median follow-up period was 51 months (range: 1-190). Results: The median age was 64 years. The cut off CONUT was 1.5. There was a significant difference between patients with high (>_ 2) or low (_ 65 years (HR = 1.80, p = 0.028), Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) > 1 (HR = 2.04, p = 0.006), stage IIIA-IVB disease (HR = 2.75, p = 0.001) and the CONUT score (HR = 1.15, p = 0.003) were found statistically significant. In the multivariate analysis for PFS, age >_ 65 years (HR = 2.02, p = 0.007), stage IIIA-IVB disease (HR = 2.42, p = 0.002) and the CONUT score (HR = 1.19, p = 0.001) were found to be significant parameters. Conclusion: High CONUT score reduces OS and PFS in DLBCL. CONUT score is an independent, strong prognostic index in patients with DLBCL

anemonThe pandemic has also revealed the quarantine processes. Therefore, individuals'psychological resilience and loneliness are also affected. As a result, individuals have made efforts to seek hope and meaningful life paths in this life. In this study, the role of hope and meaningful life in the relationship between the loneliness levels of university students and their psychological resilience was examined. The study was carried out on a total of 307 university students, 208 (68%) female and 99 (32%) male. The easy-to-reach sampling method was used in the study. According to the results of the research, significant relationships were found between loneliness, resilience, hope and meaningful life. Preloading results showed that hope and meaningful life had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between loneliness and resilience. The pandemic has also revealed the quarantine processes.
