The subject of this thesis belongs to the area of computer graphics, particularly, to the domain of graphics modelling. This thesis presents experiments in\ud graphics modelling, namely in the application of graphics modelling principles to virtual reality (VR), with an interaction approach that is typical to VR systems.\ud Our approach takes advantage of novel graphics primitives that take the form of sets of vertices, of non-standard approaches to interface construction with the use of controls integrated into the 3D environment and also of the\ud advantages that the widget technologies are offering. A number of information visualisation, interaction and manipulation options have been adapted to our case, to provide a 3D character editing virtual environment that is easy to use, aimed at novice users and beyond. The resulting system is an implementation based on the Virtual Reality Modelling Language (VRML), which means we are using a visualisation tool that is at the same time the target environment for the resulting 3D characters. This leaves room for experimentations in 3D visualisation and interaction techniques, a field that currently lacks in widely accepted standards, specifications or recommendations

Jane S Myung, Grant D Aaker, Szilárd KissDepartment of Ophthalmology, Weill Cornell Medical Center, New York, NY, USAPurpose: To report our experience with dexamethasone 0.7 mg sustained-release intravitreal implant (Ozurdex®; Allergan, Inc, Irvine, CA) in noninfectious posterior uveitis. Methods: A retrospective chart review of patients with noninfectious uveitis treated with sustained-release dexamethasone 0.7 mg intravitreal implant was performed. Complete ophthalmic examination including signs of inflammatory activity, visual acuity, fundus photography, fluorescein angiography, optical coherence tomography, and tolerability of the implant were assessed. Results: Six eyes of 4 consecutive patients treated with a total of 8 dexamethasone 0.7 mg sustained-release intravitreal implants for posterior noninfectious uveitis were included. Two patients presented with unilateral idiopathic posterior uveitis; 2 patients had bilateral posterior uveitis, one secondary to sarcoidosis and the other to Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada syndrome. All eyes showed clinical and angiographic evidence of decreased inflammation following implant placement. Mean follow-up time post-injection was 5.25 months. Four eyes received 1 and 2 eyes received 2 Ozurdex implants during the follow-up period. The duration of effect of the implant was 3 to 4 months. No serious ocular or systemic adverse events were noted during the follow-up period. Conclusions: In patients with noninfectious posterior uveitis, sustained-release dexamethasone 0.7 mg intravitreal implant may be an effective treatment option for controlling intraocular inflammation. Keywords: corticosteroids, dexamethasone implant, Ozurdex, uveiti

In my study I represent the Network Marketing as a form of enterprise, which is really disputed networking subject in the last decades. Despite of the negative opportunities, the trade of MLM companies is extending in Hungary but especially in foreign countries. I constructed an anonym questionnaire to deeply recognise the personal opinions in this subject and to know the experience. Most people who took part in my research, is or was in connection with some MLM company. During the data processing I examined the questionnaire with several kinds of statistic methods and I analysed with the help of a computer programme. It was outstanding to see that networking people prefer in their life their personal development and self-education. However, in some case, the results disproved my waits, at the same time it can be said that most people have a negative attitude in connection with MLMs

The tricyclic antidepressant desipramine inhibited the neurotoxic, kainate-induced [Ca] increases in CA1 pyramidal cells in acute hippocampal slices.

Kainate (KA), used for modelling neurodegenerative diseases, evokes excitotoxicity. However, the precise mechanism of KA-evoked [Ca2+]i increase is unexplored, especially in acute brain slice preparations. We used [Ca2+]i imaging and patch clamp electrophysiology to decipher the mechanism of KA-evoked [Ca2+]i rise and its inhibition by the tricyclic antidepressant desipramine (DMI) in CA1 pyramidal cells in rat hippocampal slices and in cultured hippocampal cells. The effect of KA was dose-dependent and relied totally on extracellular Ca2+. The lack of effect of dl-2-amino-5-phosphonopentanoic acid (AP-5) and abolishment of the response by 6-cyano-7-nitroquinoxaline-2,3-dione (CNQX) suggested the involvement of non-N-methyl-d-aspartate receptors (non-NMDARs). The predominant role of the Ca2+-impermeable alpha-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionate receptors (AMPARs) in the initiation of the Ca2+ response was supported by the inhibitory effect of the selective AMPAR antagonist GYKI 53655 and the ineffectiveness of 1-naphthyl acetylspermine (NASPM), an inhibitor of the Ca2+-permeable AMPARs. The voltage-gated Ca2+ channels (VGCC), blocked by omega-Conotoxin MVIIC+nifedipine+NiCl2, contributed to the [Ca2+]i rise. VGCCs were also involved, similarly to AMPAR current, in the KA-evoked depolarisation. Inhibition of voltage-gated Na+ channels (VGSCs; tetrodotoxin, TTX) did not affect the depolarisation of pyramidal cells but blocked the depolarisation-evoked action potential bursts and reduced the Ca2+ response. The tricyclic antidepressant DMI inhibited the KA-evoked [Ca2+]i rise in a dose-dependent manner. It directly attenuated the AMPA-/KAR current, but its more potent inhibition on the Ca2+ response supports additional effect on VGCCs, VGSCs and Na+/Ca2+ exchangers. The multitarget action on decisive players of excitotoxicity holds out more promise in clinical therapy of neurodegenerative diseases

Exobolygó-rendszerek megfigyelésével és dinamikájával kapcsolatos kutatásokat folytattunk. A KH 15D születő bolygórendszer fotometriai megfigyelésével hozzájárultunk a csillag körüli anyag bolygókeletkezést megelőző sűrűséghullámainak kimutatásához. | We have conducted researches on the observations and dynamics of exoplanetary systems. By making photometric observations of the planet-forming system KH 15D, we contributed to the detection of the density waves in the circumstellar matter which preceed planet formation. By using IRAS, ISOPHOT and Spitzer data we compiled a catalogue of the brightest debris disks in the 120 pc neighbourhood of the Sun. We also determined their main parameters and evolution diagrams. By using numerical methods we developed a catalogue of dynamical stability giving stability properties of orbits for millions of initial conditions. We determined the stability features of the habitable zones of known exoplanetary systems. We developed a model for the formation and evolution of one class of exoplanets. We developed efficient methods for dynamical investigations and for the estimation of orbital data from transit photometry
