Probing proton structure with ccˉc \bar c correlations in ultraperipheral pApA collisions

We study the exclusive diffractive $c \bar c$ photoproduction in ultraperipheral $pA$ collisions. The formalism makes use of off-diagonal generalizations of the unintegrated gluon distribution, the so-called generalized transverse momentum dependent distributions (GTMDs). We present two different formulations. The first one is based directly on gluon GTMD parametrizations in momentum space. Another option is the calculation of the GTMD as a Fourier transform of the dipole-nucleon scattering amplitude $N(Y,\vec{r}_{\perp},\vec{b}_{\perp})$. The latter approach requires some extra regularization discussed in the paper. Different dipole amplitudes from the literature are used. Compared to previous calculations in the literature, we integrate over the full phase space and therefore cross sections for realistic conditions are obtained. We present distributions in rapidity of $c$ or $\bar c$, transverse momentum of the $c \bar c$ pair, four-momentum transfer squared as well as the azimuthal correlation between a sum and a difference of the $c$ and $\bar c$ transverse momenta. The azimuthal correlations are partially due to the so-called elliptic gluon Wigner distribution. Different models lead to different modulations in the azimuthal angle. The modulations are generally smaller than 5%. They depend on the range of transverse momentum selected for the calculation.Comment: 22 pages, 14 figures, 1 tabl

The knowledge achieved by nurses at the University Cildren Hospital regarding the care of children with the tracheostomy

Professional care of children with the tracheostomy is a necessity. The maintenance of nursing, as well as, a child's mental state are both one of the most crucial elements of the medical protection.Parents, empowered with the support of the therapeutic team, are able to face the difficulties related to the child's medical condition. Crucially, skills and knowledge derived from the contact with professional staff allows for independent and effective protection in the home environment.The high-standard care of affected children provided by the nurses is necessarily based upon their professionalisms, knowledge, as well as, practical capabilities. In the following writing I have discussed my attempt to explore the level of understanding achieved by nurses associated with demands placed by the care of children affected by the tracheostomy. It is titled: 'The knowledge achieved by nurses at the University Children Hospital regarding the care of children with the tracheostomy.' Chapter one builds upon the conceptual analysis of the tracheostomy. The first part contains a discussion of the anatomy and physiology of children's respiratory system followed by the recommendations and contraindication to the procedure of the tracheostomy, as well as, associated anatomical changes and application of physiotherapy. Chapter two is devoted to the methodology underlying a conducted research. It contains the aim, analytical issues, hypotheses, followed by a discussion of the course of study, as well as, the graphic and statistical analysis of the questionnaire amongst seventy nurses caring for children with the tracheostomy at the University Children Hospital in Cracow. The following research has utilised a method of the diagnostic poll, namely the technology of questionnaires. The research results have informed about the satisfying level of nurses' knowledge related to the care of children with the tracheostomy. In the final conclusion however, it has been suggested that there is an ongoing demand for the improvement in an general understanding amongst nurses and importantly, parents of children with the tracheostomy.Opieka nad dzieckiem z tracheostomią musi być profesjonalnie przeprowadzona. Zarówno problemy, potrzeby pielęgnacyjne jak i stan psychiczny dziecka są najistotniejszym elementem opieki pielęgniarskiej. Rodzice, którzy są obdarowani wsparciem płynącym od zespołu terapeutycznego stawiają czoła chorobie dziecka, a ich wiedza i umiejętności pozwalają na samodzielną opiekę nad dzieckiem w domu. Profesjonalizm zawodowy pielęgniarki, posiadana wiedza i umiejętności są niezbędne do sprawowania opieki nad chorymi dziećmi, na odpowiednio wysokim poziomie.Celem niniejszej pracy magisterskiej było poznanie poziomu wiedzy pielęgniarek na temat pielęgnacji dziecka z tracheostomią. Praca nosi tytuł: „Wiedza pielęgniarek Uniwersyteckiego Szpitala Dziecięcego na temat pielęgnowania dzieci z tracheostomią”.Rozdział pierwszy zawiera teoretyczną analizę zagadnień. W pierwszej części przedstawiono zagadnienia dotyczące anatomii i fizjologii układu oddechowego dzieci, wskazań oraz przeciwwskazań do tracheostomii, zmian anatomicznych po jej założeniu i fizjoterapii dziecka z tracheostomią. Część druga obejmuje tematykę pielęgnacji tracheostomii, a także opisuje rolę pielęgniarki sprawującej opiekę nad dzieckiem z tracheostomią.Rozdział drugi poświęcony jest metodologii badań własnych. Zawiera cel pracy, problemy badawcze, hipotezy, przebieg badań, a także analizę graficzną i statystyczną ankiety przeprowadzonej wśród 70 pielęgniarek opiekujących się dziećmi z tracheostomią w Uniwersyteckim Szpitalu Dziecięcym w Krakowie. W badaniach wykorzystano metodę sondażu diagnostycznego, techniką ankiety.Wyniki przeprowadzonych badań wskazują na zadowalający poziom wiedzy pielęgniarek na temat pielęgnacji dzieci z tracheostomią. Z wniosków wysuwają się postulaty dotyczące zapotrzebowania na poszerzanie wiedzy w tej tematyce oraz udostępnienie jej zarówno pielęgniarką jak i rodzicom dzieci z tracheostomią

Creation of a hero in "Schlageter" by Hanns Johst

Tematem mojej pracy licencjackiej jest stylizacja na bohatera w dramacie „Schlageter”, którego autorem jest Hanns Johst. Utwór ten, opublikowany w 1933 roku, był środkiem szerzenia propagandy w rękach nazisów. W pracy tej starałam się ukazać różne zabiegi zastosowane przez autora, które wpływają na wystylizowanie głównej postaci dramatu na bohatera. Jest to kreacja – w licznych źródłach podkreśla się fakt, iż rzeczywiste wydarzenia i życiorys Schlagetera różnią się na wielu płaszczyznach od przedstawionych przez autora dzieła. W początkowej części mojej pracy wyjaśniłam pojęcia „bohater”, „stylizacja” oraz użytą w tytule pracy „stylizację na bohatera”. W kolejnej części przybliżyłam sylwetkę Schlagetera oraz kult, którym została otoczona jego osoba, ponieważ te elementy miały znaczący wpływ na powstanie dzieła. Główną część pracy stanowi analiza dramatu. Skupiłam się na pokazaniu różnych czynników, które mają wpływ najpierw na zmianę poglądów, a później na dalsze losy bohatera. Wspominam o zmianie przekonań, gdyż Schlageter nie od początku był gotów poświęcić swe życie dla ojczyzny. Takie poświęcenie to jedna z cech, która powinna określać „nowego człowieka”. Pojęciu temu poświęciłam osobny podpunkt w mojej pracy. Ważnym elementem jest również ukazanie bohatera jako części wspólnoty, społeczeństwa, dla którego Schlageter stał się przykładem. Uzupełnienie tematu stanowią informacje na temat recepcji dramatu nie tylko przez publiczność, ale też krytyków teatralnych, którzy w tym przypadku nie zawsze byli przychylni w swoich opiniach. Widzowie z kolei byli głęboko poruszeni. W ostatnim rozdziale umieszczam krótkie podsumowanie, w którym zawarłam obserwacje i konkluzje z całości pracy.The subject of my thesis is hero creation in the drama “Schlageter” by Hanns Johst. The publication of this work in 1933 was a Nazi propaganda tool. In my work I have tried to show the different methods used by the author, that affect the creation of main character drama as hero. It’s a fictional characterization proven by many sources highlighting the fact, the actual events and biography of Schlageter differs in many ways from that shown by the author of the work. In the initial part of my work I tried to clarify the concept of the words "hero", "style" and used in the title "Creation of a hero". In the next part I present Schlageter and the cult of figure, which surrounded his person, because these elements have a significant influence on the process of the piece formation.The main part of the work is the analysis of the drama, in which I focused on showing the different factors that have an impact first on the change of the views, and later on the fate of the hero. I mention changing beliefs, because at the beginning Schlageter was not willing to sacrifice his life for his country. Such dedication is one of the characteristics that should define the "new man", whom, in my work I dedicated a separate section. It’s also an important thing to show the hero, as part of the community, the society, for which Schlageter has become an example.As a complement of the theme I added information about the drama reception by the audience. Theater critics, were not flattering in assessing the work, unlike the audience, which was deeply moved, after the display of the piece and applauded shouting "The first soldier of the Third Reich."In der Bachelorarbeit soll das Drama „Schlageter“ von Hanns Johst analysiert werden. Das Werk wurde im Jahr 1933 veröffentlicht und basierte auf der nationalsozialistischen Ideologie. Der Autor präsentiert in seinem Drama Schlageter, der zu einem Helden stilisiert wird. In meiner Arbeit versuche ich, die Aspekte dieser Erscheinung näher zu bringen und das ist das wichtigste Ziel meiner Bachelorarbeit.In der vorliegenden Arbeit werden zuerst die Begriffe „Held“ und „Stilisierung“ erklärt. Außerdem beschreibe ich Schlageter und seinen Kult, weil sie einen großen Einfluss auf die Entstehung des Werkes hatten. In der Analyse des Dramas konzentriere ich mich vor allem auf die Transformation des Helden. Im Zentrum der Transformation stehen die Konzeption des „neuen Menschen“. Ich versuche auch zu erklären, dass der neue Held ein Teil der Volksgemeinschaft ist und welche Rolle er bei der Entstehung der neuen Gesellschaft spielen sollte. Schließlich beschreibe ich im letzten Punkt die Rezeption des Dramas durch das Publikum und die Theaterkritik, also welchen Einfluss das Werk auf die deutsche Gesellschaft hatte. Wegen der begrenzten Zahl der Seiten werde ich nur die wichtigsten Aspekte des Dramas analysieren
