One of the main problems of management in a vertically integrated company – the allocation of heterogeneous resources between its organizational units in conditions a limited budget is considered. Mathematical models of the optimal allocation of heterogeneous resources are proposed, taking into account the importance of different types of resources and priorities of organizational units of the company that take into account the types of tasks they perform and the types of activity

Optimizing the number and location of warehouses in logistics networks considering the optimal delivery routes and set level of reserve stock

    Get PDF
Forming the optimal structure of a warehouse network is one of the main strategic tasks in arranging an efficient logistics network. The suggested mathematical model and iterative method allow an optimal number and location of warehouses (in the area served by the logistics network) to be defined – with the minimum of total logistics costs for shipping of goods from suppliers through warehouses to customers. The focus is on optimal delivery routes and the optimal level to set for reserve stock contained in the storage network

Development of an integrated logistical support system for all types of national security services requires the solution to a problem of definition its rational structure. The methodical approach proposes to consider this issue as a complex of two successive optimization tasks. In the first place, it assumes to determine regional logistics clusters amount and then to optimize their logistics infrastructure. The models and methods are developed to allow optimization of the integrated logistical support system structure according to a real transport network communications and a regional supply chain by a minimal total logistics costs criterion

Optimization models of the supply of power structures’ organizational units with centralized procurement

Management of the state power structures’ organizational units for materiel and technical support requires the use of effective tools for supporting decisions, due to the complexity, interdependence, and dynamism of supply in the market economy. The corporate nature of power structures is of particular interest to centralized procurement management, as it provides significant advantages through coordination, eliminating duplication, and economy of scale. This article presents optimization models of the supply of state power structures’ organizational units with centralized procurement, for different levels of simulated materiel and technical support processes. The models allow us to find the most profitable options for state power structures’ organizational supply units in a centre-oriented logistics system in conditions of the changing needs, volume of allocated funds, and logistics costs that accompany the process of supply, by maximizing the provision level of organizational units with necessary material and technical resources for the entire planning period of supply by minimizing the total logistical costs, taking into account the diverse nature and the different priorities of organizational units and material and technical resources

Dynamic model of optimized supply for organizational units of armed forces (at decentralized procurement)

    Get PDF
Efficient activity of organizational units in armed forces is impossible without comprehensive and continuous logistics. The key role in the arrangement of logistics is played by supply processes: ordering, purchase, delivery, and storage of material and technical resources (goods). The Complexity and multiplicity of implementing the logistics process assume the use of economic-mathematical modeling, as an efficient tool for supporting decisions, which ensures the selection of the most favorable supply options. This paper provides a dynamic model of optimized supply (at decentralized procurement of material and technical resources), which describes the possible options of arranging the logistics of organizational units of the armed forces. The criterion of global optimization is represented by a normalized performance indicator characterizing the level of provision of organizational units with material and technical resources. The proposed economic-mathematical model is an efficient tool for supporting decisions taken by logistics-management divisions of organizational units of armed forces – at multiple options of implementing the logistic processes and limited financial resources, which allows optimizing the level of provision of organizational units with required material and technical resources (for the entire planning period of supply, regarding change of needs, scope of funds allocated for logistics and logistic costs accompanying the supply process)

Model of Multi-Criteria Selection of Traditional Suppliers

    Get PDF
Efficient supply chain management is based on the strategic cooperation of many companies (suppliers and consumers), which involves long-term interaction with business partners. To ensure a reliable supply, most of the modern companies simultaneously interact with multiple suppliers of identical products, distributing the orders between them depending on many factors characterising suppliers, their products, and supply processes in previous periods. Under these conditions, the solution of the problem of multi-criteria selection of traditional suppliers is carried out by optimising purchase amounts of different product types in accordance with the needs of the consumer company based on many criteria. The main selection criteria are supply reliability and logistics costs of the purchase and product delivery. The generalised criterion for the assessment of supply reliability reflects the results of the interaction with suppliers in previous periods and includes assessment of completeness, package contents, timeliness of supply, and quality of supplied products. The logistics costs criterion shows the rejection of product prices offered by traditional suppliers and delivery costs from the minimum values of these indicators in the markets at the time of making procurement decisions. The paper contains the developed linear programming model, which allows optimising the procurement of different types of products from several traditional suppliers under the objective function, combining the evaluation criteria of supply reliability and logistics costs. The list of suppliers for each type of product is determined by the optimisation results. The method for selection of traditional suppliers is based on the proposed mathematical model and has a numerical example illustrating its application

REFLEKSIVNO MODELIRANJE ODABIRA POSLOVNOG PARTNERA U OPSKRBNOM LANCU

The article deals with the problem of selecting a partner in supply chain, taking into account the peculiarities of thinking of business entities that define their behavior during the interaction. The developed reflexive model reflects the characteristics of the process of mutual influence of business entities in the selection of partners during the formation of the supply chain. Alternative options to reflexive control of the interaction of business entities have been proposed. A methodical approach to solving the problem of selecting a partner in the supply chain has been developed, taking into account the reflexive impact of business entities on themselves and their partners with a view of convergence of the real and ideal images in the minds of each other. Selection of suppliers/intermediaries in the supply chain is made taking into account the mutual interest of business entities in collaboration, resulting in the equal significance of their mutual evaluations when selecting the best partner.U članku se razmatra problem odabira partnera u opskrbni lanac, uzimajući u obzir obrasce razmišljanja poslovnih subjekata koji određuju njihovo ponašanje tijekom interakcije.

Supply optimization model in the hierarchical geographically distributed organization

    Get PDF
The strategic importance of the procurement function in the large organizations management requires using effective tools by the logistics management to justify decisions in the supply process. The architecture features of hierarchical geographically distributed organizations allow the use of a hybrid supply scheme that rationally combines the advantages of centralized and decentralized purchasing and supply management (PSM). The article suggests a supply optimization model in the hierarchical geographically distributed organization (HGDO), reflecting the features of a complex, multifactorial and multi-stage procurement process. The model allows to find the optimal options for purchasing and supplying products for the criterion of minimizing the total logistics costs that characterize this process for the entire period of planning HGDO logistics support, taking into account the values of the various parameters of participants and the logistics functions of the procurement process over each period of time. The model is an effective tool for supporting and coordinating decisions made by logistics managers at different levels of management of HGDO based on numerous options for purchasing and supplying products and their budgeting in conditions of the dynamics and diversity of internal and external factors of influence
