Legitimation and professionalization of a Romani NGO in the Czech Republic Hana Synková This PhD. thesis maps strategies of legitimation and survival of non-governmental organizations working with people that use to be categorized as "socially excluded" or "Roma". It attempts to answer the question: "What NGOs do to be able to look successful, gain resources, and create organizational reputation?" This work does not treat organizations as "things", but as processes and social networks influenced by state and European policies, funding mechanisms and internal competition. Despite the organizations being discursively divided into those preferring more ethnic or social definition of their clients, they have to cope with the same pressures in the shape of social services law, standards of quality or control systems that come with projects. Organizations are far from devoting their time to "work with clients"; they are also involved in enlarging social capital of their members and in production of "texts" that serve their legitimation claims towards control bodies, other organizations and public. Snaží se odpovědět na otázku, co nevládní organizace dělají, aby vypadaly "úspěšně", byly schopné získávat prostředky a vytvářet organizační renomé. Práce nepojímá organizace jako "věci", ale přibližuje je jako "procesy" a sociální sítě ovlivněné státní a evropskou politikou, systémy financování i vnitřními konkurenčními boji. I přesto, že jsou organizace diskursivně rozděleny na ty, které preferují spíše etnickou nebo sociální definici svých klientů, musejí se vyrovnávat se stejnými tlaky v podobě zákona o sociálních službách, standardů kvality či kontrolních systémů přicházejících s projekty. Organizace nevěnují svůj čas zdaleka jen "práci s klienty", ale i zvyšování sociálního kapitálu svých členů a produkování "textů", které slouží k jejich legitimizaci v očích kontrolních orgánů, ostatních organizací i veřejnosti. Further training of management and employees of public administration

Cílem této rigorózní práce je systematické pojednání o významu, procesu a cílech profesního vzdělávání zaměstnanců ve veřejné správě se zaměřením na specifika vzdělávání v oblasti informačních technologií a jazykové. V první kapitole jsou podle nejnovějších vědeckých poznatků popsány v obecné poloze cíle a metody vzdělávání zaměstnanců ve všech sektorech. Druhá kapitola se zabývá problematikou vzdělávání v oblasti počítačové gramotnosti a jazykových znalostí jakožto průřezových oblastí vzdělávání vyžadovaných na všech úrovních administrativy nejen ve veřejné právě, ale i v soukromém sektoru, zejména v terciární sféře poskytování služeb. Zatímco první dvě kapitoly se týkají vzdělávání zaměstnanců obecně a současně předkládají návrhy na zefektivnění tohoto vzdělávacího procesu, třetí kapitola se zaměřuje především na veřejnou správu. The first chapter of the latest scientific findings described in the general position of the aims and methods of education employees in all sectors. The second chapter deals with training in computer literacy and language skills as a cross-cutting areas of training required at all levels of administration not only in public now, but also in the private sector, especially in the tertiary sector service provision. While the first two chapters concern the education of employees in general and also submit proposals for the streamlining of the educational process, the third chapter focuses on public law. Diplomová práce je zaměřena na sestavení podnikatelského plánu k založení konkurenceschopného malého podniku, zabývající se prodejem příze, látek a sortimentu pro tvorbu. Práce je rozdělená do tří částí. První část se zaměřuje na základní teoretické pojmy. Druhá část prakticky analyzuje prostředí budoucího podniku. V poslední části je sestaven podnikatelský plán, doplněný o harmonogram podnikání.The diploma thesis focuses on creating the business plan to establish a competetive small company dealing with scale of yarn, fabrics and handmade assortment. Thesis is divided into three parts. The first part is focused on basic theoretical concepts. The second part practically analyses the environment of the future company. Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na stanovení hodnoty podniku s názvem Kovo HB, s.r.o. Nejprve je vypracována strategická a finanční analýza, jejichž závěry jsou shrnuty do SWOT analýzy. Následuje sestavení finančního plánu a samotné ocenění za použití vybraných výnosových metod. Výsledná hodnota oceňovaného podniku je tak stanovena k 31. 12. 2015 a to metodou diskontovaných peněžních toků a metodou ekonomické přidané hodnoty.This diploma thesis is aimed to a value assessment of the Kovo HB, s.r.o. company. Firstly, the strategic and financial analyses were processed, which results are resumed in SWOT analysis. Subsequently, the financial plan was arranged and the value assessment itself was appointed by using selected revenue methods. The final value of the company was appointed to the 31st December 2015 by the methods of discounted cash flow and Economic Value Added.

Modely začlenění odborné přípravy do výuky anglického jazyka

Tato diplomová práce z oblasti výuky anglického jazyka se zabývá problematikou integrace jazyka a obsahu v širokém smyslu. Pojednává tedy nejen o CLILu, ale i jiných modelech výuky angličtiny založené na obsahu, zejména ESP (English for Specific Purposes), EAP (English for Academic Purposes) a EMI (English-medium Instruction). V teoretické kapitole jsou tyto modely popsány z hlediska historie, typických rysů, učitelů, studentů, jakož i kladů a záporů. V empirické části se práce zaměřuje na současnou praxi integrace angličtiny a obsahu na českých gymnáziích. Základem výzkumu jsou případové studie pěti učitelů, kteří učí různé předměty spadající do této kategorie. V přípravném výzkumu autorka zjišťovala, jaké předměty tohoto typu nabízejí gymnázia v Praze; nejčastěji se jedná o povinně volitelné semináře. Výsledky výzkumu naznačují, že integrace jazyka a obsahu v rámci povinně volitelných seminářů je v současnosti poměrně častou praxí, byť mnohdy neuvědomělou. Učitelé často postupují spíše na základě své intuice než odborných poznatků z oblasti integrace jazyka a obsahu. Obecně se zdá, že se v těchto seminářích klade větší důraz na obsahovou než na jazykovou složku. Výuka angličtiny založená na obsahu může být pro studenty přínosná tím, že se naučí používat jazyk v určité oblasti, naučí se pracovat s...The thesis focuses on the topic of language and content integration in ELT in a broad sense, i.e. it discusses not only CLIL but also other models of content-based teaching, viz. ESP (English for Specific Purposes), EAP (English for Academic Purposes), and EMI (English-medium Instruction). In the theoretical part of the thesis, these models are described as regards their history, typical features, teachers, learners, as well as benefits and negatives. The empirical part of the thesis explores the current practice of language and content integration at Czech general secondary schools ("grammar schools"). The research is based on case studies of five teachers who teach various courses belonging to this category. The preliminary research investigated what courses are currently being offered at grammar schools in Prague; they are mostly elective courses. Our research findings suggest that language and content integration in the form of elective courses is a rather common practice, although often unconscious. Teachers tend to act on the basis of their intuition rather than their knowledge of theory and practice of language and content integration. Bankruptcy prediction modelling in manufacturing branch

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tvorbou bankrotního modelu pro zpracovatelský průmysl v České republice za využití logit analýzy. Teoretická část vymezuje pojem bankrotní model, finanční tíseň a finanční zdraví podniku, dále je tento úsek zaměřen na vliv makroekonomie na přesnost těchto modelů, pohled do jejich historie a popis vybraných modelů. Praktická část práce je v počátku zaměřena na určení spolehlivosti vybraných bankrotních modelů a poté je sestaven nový bankrotní model.This diploma thesis deals with the creation of a bankruptcy model for the manufacturing industry in the Czech Republic using logit analysis. The theoretical part defines the concept of bankruptcy model, financial distress and financial health of the company. This section is focused on the influence of macroeconomics on the accuracy of these models, a look into their history and description of selected models. The practical part of the thesis is initially focused on determining the reliability of selected bankruptcy models, and then a new bankruptcy model is compiled.

Presentation of Numerals in Teaching Czech as a Foreign Language

This diploma thesis deals with the issues of numerals in the context of teaching Czech as a foreign language. The theoretical part describes the reasons why numerals are so problematic in the process of teaching and the common methodological recommendations for the teaching of numerals are described here as well. The goal of this thesis is to suggest the most suitable way to teach selected numerals along with the related grammatical cases. Numerals in the chosen textbooks of Czech for foreigners and the analysis of the chosen forms in the CzeSL-SGT learner corpora were analysed for this purpose. The analysis of the corpus helps to define the difficult cases in more detail. Based on the analyses, the worksheets were created for the chosen types of numerals that can be used in the teaching process. These materials also contain recommendations for working with the individual activities.Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou číslovek v kontextu výuky češtiny jako cizího jazyka. Teoretická část popisuje důvody, kvůli kterým jsou problematické v procesu výuky a jsou také popsána obecná metodická doporučení pro výuku číslovek. Cílem práce je navrhnout co nejvhodnější způsob, jak vyučovat vybrané číslovky společně se souvisejícími gramatickými jevy. Prostředkem k dosažení cílů je analýza číslovek ve vybraných učebnicích češtiny pro cizince a analýza vybraných tvarů ve studentském korpusu CzeSL-SGT. Korpusová analýza pomáhá blíže vymezit obtížné jevy a na základě jejích výstupů jsou vytvořeny pracovní listy pro vybraný typ číslovek, jež můžou být využity v učebním procesu. Legal regime of mining in space

Due to the growing interest of states and private companies in space natural resources, the topis of the legal regime of mining in space is very actual. The purpose of this thesis is to formulate aspects of the legal framework of mining in outer space, which has not yet been created, but its foundations and key princpiples can be deducted from current international treaties and international customs. Currently, there is no consensus on whether commercial mining should even be permissible and whether the ownership of space natural resources is in accordance with international law. For this reason, this thesis presents some views of states, supranational bodies and experts in order to present the arguments of supporters and opponents of commercial mining in space. The contours of the space mining legal regime are also outlined by international expert group initiatives as well as some soft law, while this thesis briefly presents the content of the most iportant of these - the Artemis Accords and Building Blocks. This thesis further attempts to formulate the current interpretation issues of the Outer Space Treaty and offers different point of view on the solution of these issues. This thesis further analyzes the current national legislation on the acquisition and ownership of natural space resources,...Vzhledem k narůstajícímu zájmu států i soukromých společností o kosmické přírodní zdroje je téma právního režimu těžby v kosmu velmi aktuální. Účelem této práce je proto formulovat aspekty právního rámce těžby v kosmickém prostoru, který doposud sice nebyl vytvořen, avšak jeho základy a klíčové principy lze dovodit z existujících mezinárodních smluv a mezinárodních obyčejů. V současnosti prozatím nepanuje shoda na tom, zda by vůbec měla být komerční těžba přípustná a zda je vůbec vlastnictví přírodních zdrojů z kosmu v souladu s mezinárodním právem. Z tohoto důvodu tato práce přináší některé pohledy jak států, tak nadstátních útvarů i odborníků za účelem představení argumentace zastánců i odpůrců komerční těžby v kosmu.
