    Effect of Different Levels of Npk And Vermicompost on Physico-Chemicals Properties of Soil In Greengram [Vigna Radiata L.)] Cv. Samrat

    In order to investigate the influence of different levels of NPK and vermicompost on physico-chemical properties of soil, growth and yield parameters of greengram, an experiment based on randomized blocks design with 9 treatments, 3 replications and 27 plots was carried out at research farm department of Soil Science, Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology Sciences (Deemed-to-be-University), Allahabad. Treatments were included witness (control), 2, and 4 t/ha vermicompost and NPK fertilizers. Results showed that all agronomic traits were significantly affected by combination of vermicompost and chemical fertilizers compared to the control. The maximum physical and chemical properties was recorded in the treatment T8 (N P K@100%+vermicompost@100%). Bulk density (1.28Mgm-3), Particle density (2.74 Mgm-3), %Pore space (51.07 %), pH of soil (7.53), Electrical conductivity (0.25 dSm-1), Organic carbon (0.77%), Available nitrogen (334.0 Kgha-1), Available phosphorus (34.71 Kgha-1), Available potassium (206.35 Kgha-1), Where as minimum Physico-chemical properties of soil characters was recorded with the treatment T0 (control)

    Shopping is captivating and addictive, but standing in never-ending billing queues is a tiring process. Even though various online shopping platforms are growing, retail shopping has never stepped back. To ease the shopping process and eliminate lengthy billing queues, a new product has to be introduced with the appropriate use of technology. This paper summarizes a Radio Frequency Identification-based smart shopping trolley that provides automatic billing and customer satisfaction. The RFID tags on the products are read by the reader present on the shopping cart. The display screen present in the cart provides the cost information and gives the final billing amount. This is then sent to the cashier`s database using a Wi-Fi module and hence saves the customer's time. This entire model is designed on the PCB and simulated

    Identifying Knowledge Management Capacity Needs of Rural Advisory Service Networks

    Knowledge management is the creation, coordination, transfer, and integration of knowledge so it is accessible and usable by specific stakeholders. Knowledge management has been shown to facilitate the development of networks, as well as to sustain established networks, based on the appropriate collection and subsequent application of embedded social capital. For rural advisory service (RAS) networks, knowledge management can be an important tool to ensure that both explicit and tacit knowledge is shared amongst network members with the anticipated benefit of increased capacity of the network. Although the importance of knowledge management is well documented within the literature, there are limited guidelines for what specific knowledge management capacities a RAS network should develop. Using the Delphi process, a panel of 31 experts from 24 countries arrived at consensus on 34 specific knowledge management capacities associated with effective RAS networks. The results of the research provide a practical framework for RAS providers and networks to focus knowledge management capacity assessment and capacity-building activities

    Comparative efficacious study between preoperative pregabalin and gabapentin on postoperative pain in abdominal hysterectomy: an institutional experience

    Background: Pain is a consistent and predominant complaint following surgical intervention including abdominal open hysterectomy. A multimodal approach has been suggested to improve postoperative analgesia and to reduce opioid related side effects. In this context we conducted a comparative study on efficacy between gabapentin and pregabalin on postoperative pain relief.Methods: In this prospective randomised study, 60 patients were divided in to two arms group G and group P. 900 mg of gabapentin and 300 mg of pregabalin were administered orally one hour before spinal anaesthesia to respective groups. Hemodynamic parameters such as heart rate, mean arterial pressure, respiratory rate was monitored pre, per and postoperatively. Also, the need for first analgesic dose and visual analog pain score were documented in all subjects of both groups. Statistical analysis with SPSS 16.0 performed.Results: There was significant fall in mean arterial pressure in group G than group P patients. Further the fall in mean pulse rate was more in group G compared to group P throughout pre, per and post-operative phases. In terms of mean postoperative time required for first dose of analgesic drug, pregabalin and gabapentin was required after 7 and 5 hours respectively. There was a statistically significant change in Visual Analogue Scale, showing pregabalin as better drug than gabapentin in post operative pain control with score 5 and 7 respectively.Conclusions: Pre-emptive analgesia with pregabalin appears to be superior to gabapentin as a part of multimodal perioperative pain management in abdominal hysterectomy

Yet, rural advisory service (RAS) providers who are charged with disseminating research-driven techniques and ideas that enhance agricultural production and addressing local stakeholder needs are often overlooked in this area.One of the critical disconnects is the lack of consistent capacities for RAS networks to effectively support the professionalization of RAS providers. Based on a framework analyzing the typical milestones associated with professionalization efforts, capacity building, and social capital the study provides insights into the support mechanism needed for professionalization. Specifically, a Delphi a panel of 31 experts from 24 countries arrived at consensus on 33 specific capacitiesa RAS network may need to effectively support the professionalization of RAS providers. The results of the research provide a practical framework for RAS networks to consider from a professionalization and capacity building perspective

Although the importance of ICTs are well documented within the literature, there are limited guidelines for what specific network capacities in ICT use are needed to better provide support for RAS providers to fulfill their responsibilities. Using the Delphi process, a panel of 31 experts from 24 countries arrived at consensus on 51 specific ICT use capacities associated with effective RAS networks. The results of the research provide a practical framework for RAS providers and networks to develop ICT use related capacity building and tactical planning activities

    In 2008, researchers at HP Labs published a paper in {\it Nature} reporting the realisation of a new basic circuit element that completes the missing link between charge and flux-linkage, which was postulated by Leon Chua in 1971. The HP memristor is based on a nanometer scale TiO2_2 thin-film, containing a doped region and an undoped region. Further to proposed applications of memristors in artificial biological systems and nonvolatile RAM (NVRAM), they also enable reconfigurable nanoelectronics. Moreover, memristors provide new paradigms in application specific integrated circuits (ASICs) and field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). A significant reduction in area with an unprecedented memory capacity and device density are the potential advantages of memristors for Integrated Circuits (ICs). This work reviews the memristor and provides mathematical and SPICE models for memristors. Insight into the memristor device is given via recalling the quasi-static expansion of Maxwell's equations.     Bias voltage controlled magnetization switch in ferromagnetic semiconductor resonant tunneling diodes

    We predict that the Curie temperature of a ferromagnetic resonant tunneling diode will decrease abruptly, by approximately a factor of two, when the downstream chemical potential falls below the quantum well resonance energy. This property follows from elementary quantum transport theory notions combined with a mean field description of diluted magnetic semiconductor ferromagnetism. We illustrate this effect by solving coupled non-equilibrium Green's function, magnetic mean-field, and electrostatic Poisson equations self-consistently to predict the bias voltage and temperature dependence of the magnetization of a model system.Comment: 20 pages, 7 figures, corrected typo in caption of figure
