    The Jurassic/Cretaceous boundary and high resolution biostratigraphy of the pelagic sequences of the kurovice section (Outer Western Carpathians, the northern Tethyan margin)

    Microfacies and high resolution studies at the Kurovice quarry (Czech Republic, Outer Western Carpathians) on calpionellids, calcareous and non-calcareous dinoflagellate cysts, sporomorphs and calcareous nannofossils, aligned with paleomagnetism, allow construction of a detailed stratigraphy and paleoenvironmental interpretation across the Jurassic/Cretaceous (J/K) boundary. The Kurovice section consists of allodapic and micrite limestones and marlstones. Identified standard microfacies types SMF2, SMF3 and SMF4 indicate that sediments were deposited on a deep shelf margin (FZ 3), with a change, later, into distal basin conditions and sediments (FZ 1). The sequence spans a stratigraphic range from the Early Tithonian calcareous dinoflagellate Malmica Zone, nannoplankton zone NJT 15 and magnetozone M21r to the late Early Berriasian calpionellid Elliptica Subzone of the Calpionella Zone, nannoplankton NK-1 Zone and M17r magnetozone. The J/K boundary is marked by a quantitative increase of small forms of Calpionella alpina, the base of the Alpina Subzone (that corresponds to NJT 17b and M19n.2n) and by the rare occurrence of Nannoconus wintereri. Palynomorphs include Early Berriasian terrestrial elements - non-calcareous dinoflagellate cysts Achomosphaera neptunii, Prolixosphaeridium sp. A and Tehatnadinium evittii. The depositional area for Kurovice was situated at the margin of the NW Tethys. The influence of cold waters from northern latitudes and potential upwellings is highlighted by: 1) the high proportion of radiolarians and sponge spicules, 2) rare calpionellids represented mostly by hyaline forms, 3) the absence of microgranular calpionellids - chitinoidellids, 4) the small percentage of the genera Nannoconus, Polycostella and Conusphaera in nannofossil assemblages, as compared to other sites in Tethys, 5) scarce Nannoconus compressus, which has otherwise been mentioned from the Atlantic area.Web of Science70218215

    Parallel addition in non-standard numeration systems

    We consider numeration systems where digits are integers and the base is an algebraic number β\beta such that β>1|\beta|>1 and β\beta satisfies a polynomial where one coefficient is dominant in a certain sense. For this class of bases β\beta, we can find an alphabet of signed-digits on which addition is realizable by a parallel algorithm in constant time. This algorithm is a kind of generalization of the one of Avizienis. We also discuss the question of cardinality of the used alphabet, and we are able to modify our algorithm in order to work with a smaller alphabet. We then prove that β\beta satisfies this dominance condition if and only if it has no conjugate of modulus 1. When the base β\beta is the Golden Mean, we further refine the construction to obtain a parallel algorithm on the alphabet {1,0,1}\{-1,0,1\}. This alphabet cannot be reduced any more

    Parallel addition in integer base is used for speeding up multiplication and division algorithms. kk-block parallel addition has been introduced by Kornerup in 1999: instead of manipulating single digits, one works with blocks of fixed length kk. The aim of this paper is to investigate how such notion influences the relationship between the base and the cardinality of the alphabet allowing parallel addition. In this paper, we mainly focus on a certain class of real bases --- the so-called Parry numbers. We give lower bounds on the cardinality of alphabets of non-negative integer digits allowing block parallel addition. By considering quadratic Pisot bases, we are able to show that these bounds cannot be improved in general and we give explicit parallel algorithms for addition in these cases. We also consider the dd-bonacci base, which satisfies the equation Xd=Xd1+Xd2++X+1X^d = X^{d-1} + X^{d-2} + \cdots + X + 1. If in a base being a dd-bonacci number 11-block parallel addition is possible on the alphabet A\mathcal{A}, then #Ad+1\#\mathcal{A} \geq d+1; on the other hand, there exists a kNk\in\mathbb{N} such that kk-block parallel addition in this base is possible on the alphabet {0,1,2}\{0,1,2\}, which cannot be reduced.     Rozvoj venkova a zemědělství v ČR je po vstupu do EU výrazně ovlivněn Společnou zemědělskou politikou EU. Avizovaná podpora rozvoje venkova však není příliš patrná, nicméně příliv finančních prostředků z evropských fondů je značné - především do zemědělství. Přesto se agrární sektor potýká s řadou problémů. Cílem příspěvku je poukázat na tyto problémy a navrhnout možnosti jejich řešení.Rural and agriculture development in the Czech Republic has been significantly impacted by the Common Agricultural Policy since the EU entrance in 2004. The announced increase support for rural development is not really noticeable, even the flow of finances from funds is considerable. A larger proportion of finances is still directed to support of agricultural activities which is struggling with specific problems. The main actor in rural development after the EU accession should become local action groups but their activities are limited. Moreover the main indicators of activity are not soft projects (community events, establishment of cooperation...) but length of repaired road or sidewalks. Therefore, the aim of the article is to highlight selected problems connected with the Common Agricultural Policy and the paradoxes and barriers brought to rural areas

Despite problems and unequal conditions for Czech farmers, common agricultural policy brought also opportunities for development.     Tato bakalářská práce popisuje výrobu cementu, jeho rozdělení a využití v průmyslu, chemické, fyzikální a technologické vlastnosti. Píše se zde o jeho přednostech a kvalitách, ale i nevýhodách či nedostatcích. U cementových směsí je důležitá jejich pórovitost a celkové využití cementu ve formovacích směsích. V důsledku ochrany životního prostředí je zde psáno i o regeneraci a recyklaci cementu a jeho následném využití. Součástí této práce je i laboratorní měření mechanických vlastností.This bachelor thesis describes the production of cement, its subdivision and use in industy, its chemical, physical and technological properties. Here it is writen about its virtues and qualities, but also about drawbacks and deficiencies. For the cement mixtures is important their porosity and total recovery in cement mixtures. As a result of the environmental protection, it is written about recovery and recycling of cement and its subsequent use as well. This thesis also involves laboratory measurement of mechanical properties.

    Předmětem diplomové práce je statické řešení vybraných železobetonových prvků bytového domu. Konkrétně je řešena železobetonová stropní deska nadzemního podlaží, lokálně podepřená deska podzemních garáží, nejvíce namáhaný sloup, schodiště, stěna jádra, vnější stěna a založení objektu na pilotách. Výpočet vnitřních sil byl proveden v programu Axis VM 12. Návrh založení byl proveden v programu Geo 5. Součástí práce je také výkresová dokumentace vybraných prvků.The master's thesis deals with static analysis of selected reinforced concrete elements of an apartment building. Specifically solved are the reinforced concrete slab of above-ground floor, point-supported slab of underground garage, the most exposed column, staircase, load-bearing wall of shear core, external load-bearing wall and building foundation on piles. Load effects were calculated using the Axis VM 12 software. Design of foundation was solved in the Geo 5 software. The thesis includes shape drawing documentation of selected elements.

    Development of rural regions - on example of Hrotovicko microregion

    Development of rural regions is actual topic in the long term period, which is caused mainly by their extension within the Czech Republic (80 %). Research project of Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic QH 82249 SYNERGY in accession to rural areas development also deals with aspects of rural regions development. The main goal of this project is achieving of synergic action by application of chosen procedures and tools to support higher quality of life in rural areas, development of possibilities of entrepreneurship in agrarian sector and elimination of negative impacts of business on countryside. One of the first activities was realisation of questionnaire survey in the Hrotovicko microregion where activities of involved people and tools of regional development were checked.Rozvoj venkovských regionů je dlouhodobě aktuálním tématem, což je dáno zejména jejich rozsahem v rámci ČR (až 80 %). Aspekty rozvoje venkovských regionů se zabývá víceletý výzkumný projekt Ministerstva zemědělství ČR QH 82249 Synergie v přístupu k rozvoji venkova jež od začátku roku 2008 řeší společnost pro regionální a ekonomické poradenství GaREP, spol. s r.o. Brno. V rámci tohoto projektu jsou plánovány různé aktivity, které by měly vést k naplnění jeho hlavního cíle tzn. vypracování strukturovaných a účelově uspořádaných souborů opatření a nástrojů, které prokazatelně povedou ke zlepšení podmínek pro kvalitní život na venkově, k rozvinutí možností podnikání v agrárním sektoru při zlepšení dopadu hospodářských činností na krajinu a rozvoj diverzifikovaných činností na venkově. Jednou z prvních aktivit byla realizace dotazníkového šetření v mikroregionu Hrotovicko, ve kterém byla ověřena působnost aktérů a nástrojů regionálního rozvoje
