Factors related to receiving cervical cancer screening in young working Women
Purpose of this study was to clarify the factors related to receiving cervical cancer(C.C) screening in young working women. A self-administered questionnaire was used to survey 268 working women aged 20-39 years about factors associated with C.C screening. The participants were categorized into the periodical screening group (n= 90), non-periodical screening group (n=68) and unexamined group (n=110).Factors that differed among the three groups were family structure, experience of sexual intercourse, desire for children, HPV vaccination, age, cancer risk perception, recommendations from others and presence of a companion, interest in cancer screening, possession of general medical knowledge about C.C, knowledge of C.C screening methods and procedures, and family functioning. Multinomial logistic regression analysis showed that age(odds ratio 0.83),recommendations from others and presence of a companion( odds ratio 1.78), interest in cancer screening(odds ratio 0.33), and having knowledge of the methods and procedures of C.C screening( odds ratio 0.16) were related significantly with unexamined group. These results suggest that provision of knowledge about C.C. and screening is effective in promoting cervical cancer screening, taking into account the characteristics of the target population. Particularly, it seems to be important to invite unexamined group to participate

Number of averted COVID-19 cases and deaths attributable to reduced risk in vaccinated individuals in Japan
Background: In Japan, vaccination against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) was initiated on 17 February 2021, mainly using messenger RNA vaccines and prioritizing health care professionals. Whereas nationwide vaccination alleviated the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)-related burden, the population impact has yet to be quantified in Japan. We aimed to estimate the numbers of COVID-19 cases and deaths prevented that were attributable to the reduced risk among vaccinated individuals via a statistical modeling framework. Methods: We analyzed confirmed cases registered in the Health Center Real-time Information-sharing System on COVID-19 (3 March–30 November 2021) and publicly reported COVID-19-related deaths (24 March–30 November 2021). The vaccination coverage over this time course, classified by age and sex, was extracted from vaccine registration systems. The total numbers of prevented cases and deaths were calculated by multiplying the daily risk differences between unvaccinated and vaccinated individuals by the population size of vaccinated individuals. Findings: For both cases and deaths, the averted numbers were estimated to be the highest among individuals aged 65 years and older. In total, we estimated that 564, 596 (95% confidence interval: 477, 020–657, 525) COVID-19 cases and 18, 622 (95% confidence interval: 6522–33, 762) deaths associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection were prevented owing to vaccination during the analysis period (i.e., fifth epidemic wave, caused mainly by the Delta variant). Female individuals were more likely to be protected from infection following vaccination than male individuals whereas more deaths were prevented in male than in female individuals. Interpretation: The vaccination program in Japan led to substantial reductions in the numbers of COVID-19 cases and deaths (33% and 67%, respectively). The preventive effect will be further amplified during future pandemic waves caused by variants with shared antigenicity. Effect of the Electrodeposition Temperature on the Cyclic-Oxidation Resistance of Ni Aluminide Containing Zr Formed by Molten-Salt Electrodeposition
The effect of the Al electrodeposition temperature on the cyclic oxidation resistance of Ni aluminide containing Zr formed by molten salt electrodeposition was investigated. Zr and Al were deposited by molten salt electrolysis. For the sample treated with the Al deposition at 1073 K, a layer consisting of Ni 2 Al 3 was uniformly formed. On the other hand, for the sample treated by Zr deposition, followed by Al deposition at 1073 K, a layer consisting of Ni 2 Al 3 and a Ni aluminide layer containing Zr on the Ni 2 Al 3 layer were formed. Furthermore, when the Al electrodeposition temperature was changed, the concentration of Zr in the Ni aluminide layer containing Zr changed. When the Al electrodeposition was carried out at 1153 and 1173 K, the Zr was scarcely observed in the surface region of the Ni aluminide layer. The cyclic oxidation test showed that for the sample treated with only the Al deposition and the sample treated with the Zr deposition, followed by Al deposition at 1073 K, a mass reduction due to scale exfoliation took place, whereas for the samples treated with the Zr deposition, followed by Al deposition at 1153 and 1173 K, no mass reduction was observed. For these samples, after the cyclic oxidation test, a scale consisting of -Al 2 O 3 adhering to the substrate was formed. Consequently, it was found that the cyclic oxidation resistance of Ni was improved by Zr deposition, followed by Al deposition at 1153 and 1173 K
Phase Diagram of Pressure-Induced Superconductivity in EuFe2As2 Probed by High-Pressure Resistivity up to 3.2 GPa
We have constructed a pressuretemperature () phase diagram of
-induced superconductivity in EuFeAs single crystals, via
resistivity () measurements up to 3.2 GPa. As hydrostatic pressure is
applied, an antiferromagnetic (AF) transition attributed to the FeAs layers at
shifts to lower temperatures, and the corresponding resistive
anomaly becomes undetectable for 2.5 GPa. This suggests that the
critical pressure where becomes zero is about 2.5
GPa. We have found that the AF order of the Eu moments survives up to
3.2 GPa without significant changes in the AF ordering temperature
. The superconducting (SC) ground state with a sharp transition
to zero resistivity at 30 K, indicative of bulk
superconductivity, emerges in a pressure range from 2.5
GPa to 3.0 GPa. At pressures close to but outside the SC phase, the
curve shows a partial SC transition (i.e., zero resistivity is not
attained) followed by a reentrant-like hump at approximately
with decreasing temperature. When nonhydrostatic pressure with a uniaxial-like
strain component is applied using a solid pressure medium, the partial
superconductivity is continuously observed in a wide pressure range from 1.1

Case Reports of TFE3-Rearranged Renal Cell Carcinoma: FDG-PET Uptake Might Help Diagnosis
Translocation and transcription factor E3 (TFE3)-rearranged renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is a rare subtype of RCCs characterised by the fusion of the TFE3 transcription factor genes on chromosome Xp11.2 with one of the multiple genes. TFE3-rearranged RCC occurs mainly in children and adolescents, although middle-aged cases are also observed. As computed tomography (CT)/magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings of TFE3-rearranged RCC overlap with those of other RCCs, differential diagnosis is often challenging. In the present case reports, we highlighted the features of the fluorine-18-labelled fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography with CT (FDG PET-CT) in TFE3-rearranged RCCs. Due to the rarity of the disease, FDG PET-CT features of TFE3-rearranged RCC have not yet been reported. In our cases, FDG PET-CT showed high standardised uptake values (SUVmax) of 7.14 and 6.25 for primary tumours. This might imply that TFE3-rearranged RCC has high malignant potential. This is conceivable when the molecular background of the disease is considered in terms of glucose metabolism. Our cases suggest that a high SUVmax of the primary tumour is a clinical characteristic of TFE3-rearranged RCCs

upper critical field vs. temperature curves exhibit strong concave curvatures,
which can be explained by the Jaccarino-Peter compensation effect due to the
antiferromagnetic exchange interaction between the Eu moments and
