    Lifelong learning (life long education) has a large role in improving the quality of the human development index. The quality of education in rural communities is far behind and powerless, especially women. Development of the quality of women's education in rural areas needs to be done comprehensively by combining formal, non-formal and informal education. The learning approach used combines andragodi and heutagogi so that lifelong education can be successful. To accelerate the goal of educational development for rural women can be done by forming learning communities through Community Learning Centers (PKBM).Learning for rural women in PKBM needs to be integrated using information and communication technology (ICT) because the community lives in far-off places while learning needs to be done in stages and continuously (life long learning). The use of ICTs in learning for rural women will facilitate the process and interaction in learning. Providing skills and economic empowerment become the main material in learning for rural women. Through education and ICT the empowerment of rural women will be more effective and can improve the quality of life of women socially and economically

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan model pemberdayaan perempuan dan pengarusutamaan gender melalui layanan pendidikan masyarakat pada Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat di DKI Jakarta. Penelitian menggunakan metode survei, teknik pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran angket, dan teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hal-hal sebagai berikut. (1) Layanan program pendidikan masyarakat yang paling banyak diikuti oleh responden adalah pendidikan kesetaraan (61,4%), dan jenis kelamin responden dalam penelitian ini adalah perempuan (75,8%). (2) Pemberdayaan perempuan dan pengarusutamaan gender melalui pendidikan masyarakat (61,5%). (3) Model pemberdayaan perempuan dan pengarusutamaan gender melaui pendidikan masyarakat, dipandang strategis dengan pengintegrasian berbagai program yang direncanakan oleh pemerintah dengan program life skill sehingga akan menghasilkan sumberdaya manusia yang berakhalak mulia, cerdas, terampil dan mandiri

    This study aims at finding a model of Sustainable Technical Assistance that can improve the Package C tutors\u27competence. The alternative model selected to achieve the research objective was by developing a model based on Sustainable Technical Assistance and focusing on the tutors\u27 technical ability to perform their instructional tasks. The development of this model was based on the assumption that the previous model was conducted partially, much oriented on cognitive aspect, and conducted in conventional ways, and the content did not fit to the participants\u27 needs. The Sustainable Technical Assistance model was developed applying research and development approach. The results showed that the model needs to be tried out to improve the pedagogical competence of Package C tutors at the national standard

    The purpose of this research is to describe woman empowerment and gender equalization through community education service at Community Learning Activity Center in Jakarta. The research which was conducted as from Agust through December 2012 used survey method with descriptive questionnaire and the data were analyzed descriptively . The findings showed (1) the education community service program mostly undertaken by the respondents (61.4%) is gender equalization, and the female respondents of the research is 75.8%, (2) Woman empowerment and gender equalization through community education service is 61.5%. The woman empowerment and gender equalization is regarded as very strategic by integrating various programs designed by the government known as life skills to create good, intelligent, and independent human resources

    The purpose of this study is to describe the data of the educational qualification, tutor’s competence, and the administrators in equalizing education. This study is based on the fact tutors and the executing staff play a very important role in improving the instructional services. The study employed survey method with descriptive technique and questionaire. The study took place in PKBM in Jakarta on April to September 2011, with the research subjects include tutors and administrators. The findings indicate that the tutor’s qualification has met the requirement but there is a mismatch between the educational specialization and the courses to teach, the tutor’s competence is regarded low (at the average of 37,3) in pedagogy and andragogy and the administrators consist of head, secretary, and administrative staff as well as the educational staff
