Reduplication as a word-formation process in Mandarin, which is one of the most difficult knowledge to comprehend for scholar and student. Theoretically this research offers an approach that is different from what has been made by previous researchers. Using the M.D.S Simatupang free context approach this research contrasts the reduplicative forms of all word classes and shows the relationships between them (AA, AABB, ABAB, ABB) and their basic forms (A, AB), then based on test of categorical word and test of lexical decomposition as proposed by J.W.M Verhaar, this study analyzes and explains reduplication and inflectional reduplication in Mandarin in order to students understand as their meaning vocabularies. As a result, this research examines the derivational and inflectional reduplication in Mandarin all at once can disseminate the use of morphological theory. In addition, this study discusses Mandarin reduplication based on various word classes that are contained as a basis for the relevant form of reduplication. Beginner research results will be presented in this study in order to stimulate more complete writing, it will be better if this research can be disseminated in order to add learning and reading material for future research

Bilimbi or cucumber tree often be used from almost all parts of the plant as a traditional medicine. In addition, people often use the leaves as a material for insects, especially to make flies away from food. The information of local knowledge that bilimbi leaves contains insect control. The purpose of this study was to control of subterranean termites attack using extract of bilimbi (Averrhoa bilimbi L) leaves. The powder of the plant leaves was extracted using ethanol solution. The extracts were then prepared in different concentrations, namely 2%, 4%, and 6%. Paper discs with 25 mm diameter were immersed in the each of the concentration. The other treated paper discs used chlorpyrifos as positive treatment. Untreated paper discs were also prepared as control. In this study, only one of tests were applied, which were contact poison. The effectiveness of the extract was determined based on the termite mortality and weight loss of the paper discs. Results showed that treatment has a very significant effect on the value of mortality. Treatment of various concentrations of bilimbi leaf extract significantly different from the control and termiticide. Treatment of bilimbi leaf extract concentration and termitisida show 100% mortality whereas control only amounted to 23.64%

Most farmers in tidal swamp areas usually grow local varieties with characteristics: adapted to tidal swamp condition, late varieties (9 to 10 month), photoperiod sensitive, very low potential yield (1 -2 ton/ha), specific grain size and accepted taste. Some farmers have grown improved varieties with high yielding ability and early maturity, but not of good adaptability to tidal swamp conditions, grain size and accepted taste. These are the reasons that the improved varieties can not establish on tidal swamp areas. The experiment was conducted on the peaty tidal swamp condition, and used 12 varieties and lines with Kapuas as control. Two lines had potential yield similar to that of the improved variety but the grain size and the taste acceptibility similar to that of local varieties
