Effect of Skill Approach to Process of Student Learning SMA Negeri 1 Seunuddon North Aceh

This study aims to determine the skills approach to the learning outcomes of students in the subject matter of heat in class X at SMA Negeri 1 Seunuddon Aceh Utara. This research is a form of experiment. The population in this study were all second semester class X at SMA Negeri 1 Seunuddon Aceh Utara T.P.2013/2014 consisting of two classes of 60 people. The sample of this study is the total sample is X-1 (class experiment) is taught with the skills approach, and X-2 (control group) were taught using the conventional approach amounted to 30 0rang. Research instrument is the achievement test in the form of 20 multiple-choice questions that consists of 5 options first tested on students outside of the sample, to determine the validity, reliability, distinguishing features, and level of difficulty of the test. From the results of this study showed the average value of the experimental class pretest was 41.66 and 38.66 the control class is through testing prior knowledge obtained t t table (4.224>1.671) with α = 0.05 df = 58, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the process skills approach to student learning outcomes in the subject matter of heat in class X at SMA Negeri 1 Seunuddon Aceh UtaraT.P.2013/2014

LOcalized modes on an Ablowitz-Ladik nonlinear impurity

We study localized modes on a single Ablowitz-Ladik impurity embedded in the bulk or at the surface of a one-dimensional linear lattice. Exact expressions are obtained for the bound state profile and energy. Dynamical excitation of the localized mode reveals exponentially-high amplitude oscillations of the spatial profile at the impurity location. PECALONARANGAN DALAM PERTUNJUKAN WAYANG KULIT RAMAYANA LAKON LAKSMANA HILANG OLEH DALANG DEWA RAI DI DESA PENINJOAN KANGIN, DENPASAR, KAJIAN BENTUK DAN FUNGSI

ABSTRAK Kesenian wayang kulit sebagai salah satu seni pertunjukan wayang kulit tradisi, mendapat tempat yang sangat istimewa di hati masyarakat Bali. Pertunjukan wayang kulit Bali dijiwai oleh unsur-unsur kebudayaan masyarakat Hindu, maka pertunjukan wayang kulit Bali merupakan kesenian yang utameng lungguh yang sangat disakralkan oleh umat Hindu. Terdapat berbagai jenis bentuk pertunjukan wayang, salah satunya adalah wayang kulit Calonarang. Calonarang menggunakan sumber lakon ceritera Calonarang, sedangkan pecalonarangan menggunakan lakon selain ceritera Calonarang, namun masih bertemakan kekuatan magis (rwa bhineda). Pecalonarangan dalam bentuk pertunjukan wayang kulit, menggunakan berbagai macam sumber lakon. Pertunjukan wayang kulit tradisi konvensional menggunakan lakon dari epos Mahabharata dan epos Ramayana. Kedua sumber lakon ini, juga dimanfaatkan oleh seorang dalang pecalonarangan. Dewa Rai adalah seorang dalang dari Payangan Gianyar yang merupakan dalang wayang kulit Ramayana yang memasukkan unsur-unsur Calonarang dalam pertunjukannya, seperti dalam adegan pengerehan dan pengundangan. Dalam hal ini, menarik bagi penulis untuk mengkaji tentang Pecalonarangan dalam Pertunjukan Wayang Kulit Ramayana Lakon Laksmana Hilang oleh Dalang Dewa Rai di Desa Peninjoan Kangin, Denpasar. Secara umum penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk dan fungsi Pecalonarangan dalam Pertunjukan Wayang Kulit Ramayana Lakon Laksmana Hilang oleh Dalang Dewa Rai di Desa Peninjoan Kangin, Denpasar yang inovatif bernuansa mistik. Ruang lingkup penelitian ini dibatasi pada penyajian Bentuk, Fungsi Pecalonarangan dalam Pertunjukan Wayang Kulit Ramayana Lakon Laksmana Hilang oleh Dalang Dewa Rai di Desa Peninjoan Kangin, Denpasar. Landasan teori yang digunakan adalah teori estetika dan teori fungsi. Penelitian ini di rancang dalam bentuk penelitian kualitatif. Data dibedakan menjadi dua, yakni: data primer dan data sekunder. Sumber data dibedakan menjadi dua, yakni: (1) sumber data primer adalah sumber data yang berupa melihat langsung Pecalonarangan dalam Pertunjukan Wayang Kulit Ramayana Lakon Laksmana Hilang oleh Dalang Dewa Rai di Desa Peninjoan Kangin, Denpasar, yang sekaligus merupakan objek observasi, dan informan yaitu orang yang diwawancarai, dan (2) Sumber data sekunder adalah sumber data yang berupa buku-buku kepustakaan, surat kabar, jurnal, hasil penelitian sebelumnya. Bentuk-bentuk pecalonarangan meliputi; a) antawacana (dialog), b) tetikesan (gerak wayang), c) iringan, d) wayang, e) tata cahaya, d) sesajen. Fungsi yang terdapat pada Pecalonarangan dalam Pertunjukan Wayang Kulit Ramayana Lakon Laksmana Hilang oleh Dalang Dewa Rai di Desa Peninjoan Kangin, Denpasar, yakni: fungsi estetika, fungsi hiburan, fungsi promosi dan fungsi kreativitas. Fresh Water Production in Coastal and Remote Areas by Solar Powered Liquid-liquid Membrane Contactor

Liquid-liquid membrane contactor (LLMC) is a new desalination process using microporous hydrophobic membrane. The temperature difference at two solution-membrane interfaces gives rise to a trans membrane vapor pressure difference that drives the flux. In this work, the effect of process parameters on LLMC performance has been done. The process parameters consist of feed and permeate temperatures, cross flow velocity, feed concentration and mode of operation. In addition, this paper focuses on the development of LLMC by using solar and wind as energy sources. In this experiments micro porous hydrophobic hollow fiber polypropylene membrane with 0,2 mm was used as a contacting device. The experiment were conducted at temperature of 25-80oC, cross flow velocity of 0.02-0.2 m/s and solute concentration of 0-110.000 mg/L. Results show that the flux was influenced by the feed and permeate temperatures, the cross flow velocity and the concentration of solute. The increase of feed temperature increases the flux exponentially, whereas the flux seems to increase linearly with the increase of cross flow velocity. On the other hand, the flux was not significantly affected by the solute concentration. Furthermore, the flux in the counter current mode was lower than in the co-current mode. The average pure water fluxes obtained were in the range of 2-3 l/(m2h), whereas the products concentrations were in the range of 2-5.3 mg/L depending on the feed concentration. Fluxon analogues and dark solitons in linearly coupled Bose-Einstein condensates

Two effectively one-dimensional parallel coupled Bose-Einstein condensates in the presence of external potentials are studied. The system is modelled by linearly coupled Gross-Pitaevskii equations. In particular, grey-soliton-like solutions representing analogues of superconducting Josephson fluxons as well as coupled dark solitons are discussed. Theoretical approximations based on variational formulations are derived. It is found that the presence of a magnetic trap can destabilize the fluxon analogues. However, stabilization is possible by controlling the effective linear coupling between the condensates.Comment: 14 pages, 7 figures, The paper is to appear in Journal of Physics
