Extremal black brane solutions in five-dimensional gauged supergravity
We study stationary black brane solutions in the context of N = 2, U(1)
gauged supergravity in five dimensions. Using the formalism of first-order flow
equations, we construct examples of extremal black brane solutions that include
Nernst branes, i.e. extremal black brane solutions with vanishing entropy
density, as well as black branes with cylindrical horizon topology, whose
entropy density can be computed from a Cardy formula of the dual CFT.Comment: 37 pages, 5 figures, v2: Added references and derivation of the

Quantum corrections to extremal black brane solutions
We discuss quantum corrections to extremal black brane solutions in N=2 U(1)
gauged supergravity in four dimensions. We consider modifications due to a
certain class of higher-derivative terms as well as perturbative corrections to
the prepotential. We use the entropy function formalism to assess the impact of
these corrections on singular brane solutions and we give a few examples. We
then use first-order flow equations to construct solutions that interpolate
between quantum corrected fixed points of the associated potentials.Comment: 30 pages, 10 figures; v2: references added, as well as a discussion
about how to obtain the attractor equations by extremizing an effective
potential, coincides with published versio
New sensors benchmark report on WorldView-3
Imagery collected by recently launched WorldView-3 satellite can be potentially used in The Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) image acquisition Campaign. The qualification and certificate is conducted by performing benchmarking tests namely, it has to be checked whether planimetric accuracy of produced orthoimagery does not exceed certain values regulated by JRC. Therefore, benchmarking tests were carried out on two WorldView-3 imagery acquired in October and November 2014. This report describes in detail how the tests were performed i.e. auxiliary data used, methodology and workflow as well as outcome from the Internal Quality Control. However, to make the tests objective, the orthoimagery was handed to JRC for External Quality Control which is a base for certification of the sensor. Such external QC has been performed by the JRC and included in Chapter 7.JRC.H.6-Digital Earth and Reference Dat
Nernst branes in gauged supergravity
We study static black brane solutions in the context of N = 2 U(1) gauged
supergravity in four dimensions. Using the formalism of first-order flow
equations, we construct novel extremal black brane solutions including examples
of Nernst branes, i.e. extremal black brane solutions with vanishing entropy
density. We also discuss a class of non-extremal generalizations which is
captured by the first-order formalism.Comment: 44 pages, 3 figures, v2: added appendix B and references, minor
