    AbstractThe research is regarding a study on low-cost housing management for the low-income groups. The impact from that Kuala Lumpur now is crowded by the urban poor who is low-income group are doesn’t have to own the affordable house. This study will examine the strategy to provide low-cost housing base in Malaysia. This main focus of this study is to identify the perception regarding the management of low-cost housing. The research also evaluates the management of low-cost housing provision to the low-income group. The both cooperation and commitment from public residential management centre can make the harmonies situation without conflict and challenges

    Measuring Service Quality Expectation and Satisfaction Using Servqual at Hutan Lipur Sungai Congkak

    Recreation activity based on recreational forest has risen as one of the important industries in the Malaysia economy. This area has a great potential for future development predominantly in this modern trend where people are more concern about living a healthy lifestyle and being close to nature. The purpose of this paper is to obtain a better understanding of the extent to which service quality is delivered within Hutan Lipur Sungai Congkak. This study searched the influence of service quality attributes on expectation and satisfaction of recreational forest based on SERVQUAL model. The finding shows that service quality directly impacted visitors’ satisfaction on the five aspects of service quality. Hence, the results of this study provide important theoretical implications for nature-based tourism managers. 

    The Influence of Marine Tourism towards the Quality of Life among Local Tour Operators at Pulau Pangkor, Perak

    Marine tourism is one of the main factors contributing to the growth of the tourism sector in Malaysia.  Malaysia is among the countries that have the most beautiful islands with diverse marine life. It is attracting visitors to enjoy the beauty of the sea nature. The vibrant activity is an opportunity for local tour operators to engage in the tourism sector. Therefore, the business activities can provide benefits to the local tour operators, but these also have negative impacts on economic, socio-cultural and environment. A preliminary study was conducted to determine tour operator’s perceptions about the impact of tourism activities related in entrepreneurial of community in Pulau Pangkor. The study involved 150 respondents who joined the local tour operators in the tourism sector. This study used questionnaire survey as the method of data collection. The findings show the marine tourism involving entrepreneurial activity has a high impact on the socio-economic development of the local population and moderate impact to the environment.

    Determination Factors of Roadside Tree Species Selection Model for Sustainable Smart City

    This study aimed to determine the factors that are essential in developing Malaysian Roadside tree selection species model for a sustainable smart city. Two objectives have been formulated; (i) to identify the current practices in selecting roadside trees and (ii) to explore the factors affecting in developing roadside tree species model. The methodology used in the study is in-depth interviews and collecting archival data. Thirty of landscape architects and related expertise will be sorted by random sampling at Klang Valley area. The study emphasised the consideration of landscape, arboriculture, forestry and academician practices that consider the long-term benefits and impacts of planting roadside trees. The findings of this study provide valuable insights into the factors that should be considered when selecting tree species for roadside planting in city areas. Fifteen (15) important factors has been identified that is size and growth habit, native and local species, adaptability, maintenance and requirements, wind resistance, non-invasive roots, canopy density, soil requirements, aesthetic value, wildlife support, cultural significance, stakeholder input, longevity, urban tolerance, pest and disease resistance. The results can be used to guide the related parties and promote sustainable development in cities
