*********** The right physical activity will stimulate the child's growth and development optimally, one of which is through rhythmic gymnastics activities. Rhythmic gymnastics for kindergarten children is useful for developing the physical components and movement abilities of children. This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of the ACIK (Cheerful and Creative Children) exercise model to improve the physical fitness of children aged 5-6 years. The ACIK exercise model developed consists of three types of gymnastic movements, namely, non-locomotor ACIK exercise, locomotor ACIK exercise, and manipulative ACIK exercise with a series of movements that combine 5 themes, namely the theme of myself, transportation, profession, animals and the natural environment according to the characteristics of children aged 5-6 years. The research method used is research and development (Research and Development) which adopts the theory of Borg and Gall which has 10 stages of development. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative statistics. This study uses a physical fitness test designed specifically for children aged 3 to 7 years, namely the PREFIT Battery Test. From the results of testing the PREFIT battery test data, the test subjects were 60 children aged 5-6 years. The results of the effectiveness test in the application of the ACIK exercise model were tested by calculating the N-Gain Score, with the average N-gain score for the experimental class being 77.51% in the "Effective" category, while the average N- gain score for the control class was 52.93% with the category of "Less Effective". Thus, the ACIK exercise model is effectively applied and can improve the physical fitness of children aged 5-6 years Keywords: ACIK gymnastics, Physical Fitness, Children aged 5-6 years
