    DEMONSTRASI PEMBUATAN JAMU CEKOK DAN MAKANAN FUNGSIONAL BERBAHAN KELOR UNTUK PENCEGAHAN STUNTING

    Jamu merupakan obat tradisional Indonesia. Jamu telah dikenal dan dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat Indonesia untuk meningkatkan kebugaran dan pengobatan pada berbagai masalah kesehatan. Berdasarkan penjajakan awal dengan kader kesehatan di Dk. Kalibajing, Pakahan, Kec. Jogonalan, Klaten, masih ditemukan adanya stunting di wilayah tersebut dan kurangnya nafsu makan anak.  Pemberian jamu cekok pada anak-anak umum dilakukan pada masyarakat di Jawa untuk mengatasi kurangnya nafsu makan anak. Pemberian makanan yang kaya nutrisi turut membantu dalam meningkatkan status gizi anak. Kelor merupakan salah satu jenis tanaman yang sangat kaya akan gizi dengan kandungan protein yang tinggi serta berbagai vitamin, dan mineral. Kader kesehatan di wilayah tersebut membutuhkan adanya materi untuk dapat memanfaatkan bahan alam untuk mengatasi stunting pada anak. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan Ibu-Ibu PKK Dk. Kalibajing, Pakahan, Kec. Jogonalan, Klaten dalam pengolahan dan pemanfaatan tanaman obat, khususnya untuk membantu mengatasi stunting pada anak. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dalam bentuk penyuluhan tentang stunting dan kelor, praktik pembuatan jamu cekok dan es krim kelor, praktik pembuatan coklat kelor dan nugget kelor.  Kegiatan tersebut diikuti oleh 35 orang ibu-ibu PKK yang terbagi menjadi 4 kelompokmasing-masing membuat sediaan jamu cekok dan sediaan pangan berupa es krim kelor, cokelat kelor dan nugget kelor. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat bermanfaat dalam  meningatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam pengolahan bahan alam untuk membantu mengatasi stunting pada anak

    Abstract: Pain, Knee Osteoarthritis, Rheumatism Gymnastics. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of exercise on reducing arthritic pain in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee in Karangasem Surakarta. This research method is experimentally using Wilcoxon analysis. From the analysis of the results obtained p-value = 0.005 in the control group and the treatment group. It can be concluded that there is a significant influence in the provision of exercise on reducing arthritic pain in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee in Karangasem Surakarta. While the sampling technique used purposive sampling. Purposive sampling is based on a specific considerations made by the researcher based on population characteristics or properties that have been previously known. Processing and data analysis, performed using SPSS 15 for windows.     Abstract : Spray Gels, Sunscreens, Physical Stability, Rhizome Temugiring And Cortex Kayumanis. Excessive sun exposure can harm human skin, for skin damage can occur after exposure, namely in the form of burning or skin Erythema which is the onset of symptoms of degradation of cells and tissues. Sunscreen preparations have benefits to protect skin from exposure to ultraviolet rays and also contains antioxidants. Cinnamon (Cinnamomum burmanni Nees.) that has the activity of sunscreen, because it contains the compound sinamaldehid in addition also have activity as antioxidant. Rhizome temugiring (Curcuma Heyneana Val.) contain a flavanoid with fairly high antioxidant activity. Preparation of the gel has a number of advantages including not sticky and gels have a steady flow of tiksotropik and pseudoplastik i.e. solid gel when it is stored and will soon melt away when beaten. Spray technique is one of the new material has advantages which allow preparations sprayed with the dispersed evenly without needing to contact directly to flatten. Base that is often used in the making of gel karbopol and HPMC, among others. This type of Research design is a True Experiment. The formula that is used, there are three types with a combination of karbopol and HPMC.     Abstract: Fruit Bits (Bite vulgare L.), Effervescent granules, Simplex Lattice Design. Bit much-loved because it feels good, slightly sweet, and soft. Bits contain lots of folic acid, potassium vitamin C, magnesium, tritopfan, iron, copper, phosphorus, caumarin, betasianin. Betasianin of beet (Beta vulgaris L.) has been known to have an effect antiradikal and high antioxidant activity. One product that is easily consumed beverage preparation and popular among the people is the kind of effervescent dosage. Effervescent gives a pleasant taste due to the carbonation process of acids and bases. Characteristics of sweet fruit bits are appropriate when made in the form of effervescent granules. This research method is quantitative descriptive quantitative method which is based on the simplex lattice design with two components, namely Na CMC and gelatin to obtain 3 formulas that FI (CMC Na 100%), F II (Gelatin 100%), F III (50% Na CMC : Gelatin 50%). The results are calculated by the equation simplex lattice design and tested by t test (T-test Objective to find the optimum formulation, variations in the Na CMC and gelatin as a binder by using the simplex lattice design that has a higher value than by trial and error. Expect no difference in the results of the optimum formula Na CMC binder mixture : Gelatin in effervescent granule extracts bits in common with the simplex lattice design with experimental results on the formula from the results, Na CMC and gelatin mixture (10%: 90%) as the optimum formula, test results of the physical properties of effervescent granules are not different significantly between theory and experiment and qualified and acceptable enumerated by the respondent

    Abstract : Scrub, Lotion, Antioxidants. Turmeric (Curcuma domestica L), Temu giring (Curcuma heyneana), cinnamon bark (Cinnamomum Bumani (nees) BI), Kemuning Leaf (Murraya paniculata (L) Jack) and sandalwood (Santalum album) was often combined in the manufacture of scrubs. This research aims to make Hand & Body lotion formula (H & B Lotion) antioxidant containing traditional herbal extract from the botanicals fifth practical that efficacious, stable, safe and preferred by consumers. This research was true experimental research. The antioxidant activity test was used the immersion method against free radical diphenyl -2- 1.1 picrylhydrazyl, the protection ability test using invitro test while irritation test and hedonic tests conducted on volunteers. Emulsions that tested were containing traditional herbal extract with a concentration of 0.5%, 1.0% and 1.5%. This study concluded that the H & B Lotion was stable with emulsifier concentrations of 4.5% Tween 80, the difference in concentration of the extract didn’t affect the protection ability and the safety of the product but it effect significantly on the efficacy of antioxidants and aroma sensory parameters on hedonic test’s results, Optimal antioxidant activity in traditional herbal extract concentration of 1.5%.     TOTAL PHENOLIC AND FLAVONOID CONTENT, FREE RADICAL SCAVENGING ACTIVITY AND TYROSINASE INHIBITION OF CORN COB (ZEA MAYS) EXTRACT

    Objective: Corn cob is a part of plant Zea mays that have a phenolic and flavonoid compounds. This research aims to evaluate total phenolic and flavonoid content, free radical scavenging activity and tyrosinase inhibiton of corn cob (Zea mays) extract. Methods: Corn cob were determined in Poltekkes Kemenkes Surakarta. Meanwhile, corn cob were extracted using maceration method applying 70% ethanol solvent. This extract were analyzed through the total fenolic and flavonoids content tests apply spectrofotometric UV Vis, antioxidant activity using radical scavenging test 2,2-difenill-1-pikrilhidrazil (DPPH) and tyrosinase inhibition test applying in vitro tyrosinase enzyme inhibition. Results: Total phenolic content of the corn cob extract were 1.76 %b/b EAG, while the total of flavonoids content were 0.42%b/b EK. The antioxidant activity using DPPH method test of corn cob extract were values IC50 38.57 µg/ml. Tyrosinase inhibition of corn cob extract were values IC50 919.78µg/ml.
