Digital Marketing: The Role of The Web Site on Consumer’s Purchase Decision (Survey on Consumers of the “Tokopedia” Online Shop in Indonesia)

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of web design from Tokpedia on the consumer purchasing decision. In this study, a quantitative approach, descriptive and verified design are used. A total of 300 Tokopedia consumers in Indonesia are selected as respondents using a simple random sampling method. The data collection instrument is a questionnaire. Data analysis used is Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Square (PLS SEM). The research results show that the web design of the online store Tokopedia significantly affects the consumer purchasing decision. The biggest effect of the exogenous indicators on the latent variable of purchasing decision is the navigation menu. The greatest effect of the latent variable of web design is on the brand selection dimension. Accordingly, it can be concluded that the web design of Tokopedia has contributed the success of their product sales. 

Pengembangan Media Audio Visual untuk Pembelajaran Menulis Teks Deskripsi

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menghasilkan media audio visual untuk pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 1 Pagar Alam yang sesuai dengan media pengembangan; 2) mendeskripsikan hasil validasi media audio visual untuk pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 1 Pagar Alam; 3) mendeskripsikan hasil menulis teks deskripsi siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 1 Pagar Alam setelah diterapkan media audio visual. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitain ini adalah penelitian pengembangan atau research and development. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa rancangan media audio visual untuk pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 1 Pagar Alam yang telah direkomendasikan oleh para ahli adalah layak untuk di uji cobakan. Hasil validasi ahli media, ahli materi, dan ahli kebahasaan pada produk pengembangan media audio visual untuk pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 1 Pagar Alam termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Hasil menulis teks deskripsi siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 1 Pagar Alam setelah diterapkan media audio visual mengalami peningkatan dengan kriteria sangat efektif

Evaluation of Madrasah Based Management Programs in Private Aliyah Madrasah in Central Lombok Regency

The objectives of this research are to understand, explain and improve Madrasah based Management Program (Islamic Concept). The research used qualitative approach which used evaluation model of CIPP (Context, Input, Process and Outcome). It was conducted at Islamic High School Jonggat sub-district. Instruments used were observation and deep interview technique. The results were that some weaknesses of programs in the effort of increasing teacher’s human resources that were not mastering learning model media (coul not operate the laptop and in focus), increasing the facilities need and low cost. Recommendations; it is suggested to those who are in the stakeholders to pay attention to this issue. So, the implementation of the program could be done successfully later

Knowledge acquisition and product development capability magnify competitive advantage : insight into higher education institutions of Pakistan

With the emergence of a knowledge-based economy, knowledge has become an integral factor in providing a competitive advantage for organizations including higher education institutions. The objective of this study is to empirically examine the mediating effect of product development capability (PDC) in the relationship between knowledge acquisition (KA) and competitive advantage (CA) in public higher education institutions (PHEIs) of Pakistan. Data were collected through a self-administered questionnaire. A total of one hundred questionnaires were distributed through random sampling technique to vice-chancellors of PHEIs eliciting eighty-six respondents or a response rate of eighty-six percent. Data were analysed by using PLS through a structural equation modelling approach. The findings revealed significant positive effect of KA and PDC on CA. Additionally, KA also produced a significant positive effect on PDA. Further, PDA was shown to mediate the relationship between KA and CA. The current research provides more specific direction on how practitioners can strategically gain CA through KA and PDC within context of PHEIs of Pakistan

Leadership Style Based on Competency and Talent Management in Higher Education In Responding to “Independent Campus” Policy

This research is aimed at knowing the effect of leadership style based on competency and talent management in higher education  in responding to “Independent Campus” policy as well as the elements of changes that occur in the whole system of the higher education institution. The methods used a systematic secondary data searching, meta analysis and survey. There are 100 respondents are selected using simple random sampling. The analysis procedure is path analysis. The research findings show that there are three  main category changes in Indonesian  higher education institution concerning with first. learning model and student affairs; second, science and technology; third, higher education institutions and their resources. Further more,  leadership style based on competency and talent management affects significantly on response to the “Independent Campus” policy  both partially and simultaneously. In conclusion, leadership style based on competency and talent management can contribute in enhancing the capabilities of the leaders among the higher institutions in Indonesia to respond the changes relating to the government policy of Independent Camp

Geopark is one form of sustainable development that applies to regional development, namely making the territorial benefits of a geopark area as an economic source. The concept of geopark management is a sustainable regional development plan that combines the four geodiversity, biodiversity, geoheritage, and cultural diversity systems to build local communities. Utilization of geoparks can be synergized with existing regional spatial plans. Utilization of geopark spatial planning can generate new economic opportunities around the Danao Toba area through geoparks providing many job opportunities in the tourism industry and tourism managers. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of caldera geopark tourism destinations on the development of the Lake Toba area in North Tapanuli Regency. The analytical method used in this research is multiple regression analysis with the number of respondents as many as 100 people. Personality and Humbleness: The Role of the HEXACO Model of Personality in Development of Humble Leaders

Individual differences can be found in every aspect of emotion, thinking, and behaving. The discovery of basic personality structure models was a watershed for highlighting the importance of individual differences and their outcomes. Different individuals have differences depending upon their personality; these personality dimensions are described in terms of other personality traits in a concise but complete manner. Following the intentions and outcomes of the study, two of them were conducted where; in the first one was carried out to find how the HEXACO model of personality traits will impact Humble Leadership? While the second study intended to explain the impact of Humble Leadership on employee engagement through the mediating role of felt obligations. Two hundred sixteen respondents (leaders and workers) of government sector organizations participated in the study. Results of our research indicated/suggested that Honesty–Humility, Agreeableness, Emotionality, and Conscientiousness significantly contribute to the development of Humble Leadership; however, extroverts and Openness have an insignificant and negative impact on developing a Humble Leader. The outcome of study 2 suggested that Humble Leadership and Employee Engagement significantly impact each other while Felt Obligation plays a significant mediating role in this relationship
