Analysis of Financial Ratio to Distinguish Indonesia Joint Venture General Insurance Company Performance Using Discriminant Analysis
Insurance industry stands as a service business that plays a significant role in Indonesiaeconomical condition. The development of insurance industry in Indonesia, both of generalinsurance and life insurance, has increased very fast. The general insurance industry itselfdivided into two major players which are local private company and Joint Venture Company.Lately, the use of statistical techniques and financial ratios models to asses financial institutionsuch as insurance company have been used as one of the appropriate combination inpredicting the performance of an industry. This research aims to distinguish between JointVenture General Insurance Companies that have a good performance and those who are lessperforming well using Discriminant Analysis. Further, the findings led that DiscriminantAnalysis is able to distinguish Joint Venture General Insurance Companies that have a goodperformance and those who are not performing well. There are also six ratios which are RBC,Technical Reserve to Investment Ratio, Debt Ratio, Return on Equity, Loss Ratio, and ExpenseRatio that stand as the most influential ratios to distinguish the performance of joint venturegeneral insurance companies. In addition, the result suggest business people to be concernedtoward those six ratios, to increase their companies' performance
Pengaruh Asal Bahan Dan Media Stek Terhadap Keberhasilan Stek Pucuk Tembesu Fagraea Fragrans (Roxb.) [Effect of Origin Material and Cutting Media on Successful of Shoot Cutting Tembesu Fagraea Fragrans (Roxb.)]
Fagraea fragrans known as tembesu is a tree species used for panel wood (MDF, medium density fiberboard), particle board, veneer and furniture. The aim of this experiment was to know successful growth origin of shoot cutting F. fragrans and to study the effect of combination treatment the origin of cutting material and media F. fragrans. The shoot cutting was done with KOFFCO system. The results showedthat the cutting material from seedling juvenile shoot provided 61.56% of shoot formation, 91.42% of survivorship and 76.33% root formed. In addition, origin material from seedling juvenile gave a significantly effect on root length and wet root weight, wet shoot weight, dry root weight and significant on dry shoot weight parameter. The increasing age of the parent tree, diminishing cuttings success. The cuttings media cocopeat (coir dust) with paddy husk gives very significant effect on root length parameter, significant on wet root weight and gave very significant effect on root dry wet. There is an interaction between the cuttings material with cutting media, for root length parameter, wet root weight and dry root weight
Propagation Technique of Pasak Bumi (Eurycoma Longifolia Jack) Via Shoot Cutting
Pasak bumi (Eurycoma longifolia Jack) is a treelet growing wildly in the forests of Southeast Asia and widely used throughout the region because of its medicinal properties. Uncontrolled harvesting of wild-grown trees has led to rapid decrease of natural populations. The objective of this research was to get information about propagation technique of pasak bumi by shoot cutting and its adventitous root formation. Cutting materials were originated from 7 month aged seedling propagated by seed. Media used were combination of cocodust : ricehusk (1:1 v/v), cocodust : ricehusk (1:1v/v) and cocodust : ricehusk (2:1 v/v). Research showed that medium significantly improved secondary root length, while rooting percentage, primary root length and the number of root significantly was affected by Rootone F treatment. The microtechnique result showed that roots were first developed from the mesristematic cambium cells
The Effect Soekarno-Hatta - Jakarta Railway Train Project to PT. Kereta Api Indonesia Financial Performance
Soekarno-Hatta is the largest and busiest airport in Indonesia. So far, the transportation route in and out of the airport is only via the highway road (toll or non-toll) that will pass ring road Jakarta. Currently, the growth of vehicles in Jakarta is very surprising to cause severe traffic jam. The traffic jam that often occured is also affected either directly or indirectly to the traffic conditions and from the Soekarno-Hatta Airport. Indonesia Government through Presidential Decree number 83 of 2011 assigned PT Indonesia Railway to build railway transportation infrastructure through a circular route Jakarta to Soekarno Hatta. The purpose is to develop alternative transportation to help reduce transport problems in the future. For PT KAI itself, as the government-owned company that has a public service obligation (PSO), the project must be done, but there will be a question of whether this project will give positive or negative impact for the company in the future, especially in terms of financial performance. Therefore, to analyze the velua added of this project, the future financial statements between if PT KAI do the project and if they don\u27t do the project must be compared. As a first step analyzed the financial condition of PT KAI current through the analysis of time series, cross section, a ranking based on two methodologies (BUMN & Moody\u27s), and the current capital structure. Furthermore, the feasibility and demand analysis of the project will be presented as information. To determine how much value the project given, the projected consolidated financial statements and financial statement projections of the project will be conducted. Next step will compare and analyze the results of these projections, which are the consolidated financial statements without a project with projected financial statements consolidation plus project. From the results of the comparison will be observed whether the project also increased ratings of PT KAI. This research provides business solutions to PT KAI to improve financial performance and corporate value by increasing the financial indicators and investment rating. In the end, the project can be roled as a business solution in the futur
Perlindungan Hukum terhadap Pemegang Sertifikat Tanah yang Diterbitkan
Land certificate has an important role for the person concerned. The legal certainty of the certificate applicant is based on the state land that was formerly controlled by PT. Kereta Api Indonesia and the concept of legal protection for holders of title certificates issued based on state land rights. The Kebonharjo community as certificate holders have not received legal protection based on Government Regulation No. 24 of 1997 concerning Land Registration. The method used in this research is with socio-legal research approach that comes from collecting data obtained from primary data and secondary data, then analyzed by qualitative analysis method. The research found that the holders of land rights certificates issued based on state land PT. KAI still has not received legal protection because it still uses a negative publicity system (positive elements). Regarding the concept of legal protection for holders of land rights certificates issued based on state land rights, it must be in accordance with the philosophy of Pancasila Law as the basis for realizing the values of justice for the parties and achieving legal protection for land rights holder
Rehabilitation of degraded forest with Shorea leprosula and S. selanica cuttings
Komatsu Ltd. and the Forest and Nature Conservation Research and Development Center (FNCRDC) of the Ministry of Forestry, Indonesia have developed a cutting propagation technique for dipterocarp species. This technique uses a fog-cooling system to lower the temperature inside cutting boxes in a greenhouse. This method is suitable for mass production of vegetative propagules of some dipterocarps species. Rooting percentage of S. leprosula and S. selanica (meranti) cuttings was 95% and 92% respectively during the experimental stage, and 67% at mass production stage. The planting stock production of the dipterocarp cuttings in 1997 and 1998 were 42 000 and 53 000 respectively. Reforestation of degraded forest by using these dipterocarp cuttings was studied on 70 ha trial plot in West Java. Planting stock from cuttings and seedlings of S. leprosula and S. selanica were planted at various spacings. Preliminary results indicated that at this site S. selanica grows better than S. leprosula, planting stock from cuttings of both species performed better than planting stock from seedlings, and closer spacing resulted in better growth and survival. These findings suggest that planting stock from cuttings can be used to reforest degraded forest
