College Students\u27 Attitudes about Feminine and Masculine Sexuality
Sexuality is a vital part of most people\u27s lives. Unfortunately, most people feel as though there are very different standards for what is sexually acceptable for men and what is sexually acceptable for women. There is some evidence for this, but it is a possibility that this double standard is not how college students feel today about sexuality. The study that was conducted found that both men and women thought that women\u27s sexuality was actually more acceptable than men\u27s sexuality. The 75 students surveyed held less conservative attitudes about what is sexually acceptable for women than for men

Analysis of Correlation Between Molecular Weight Distribution and Melt Flow Index of Polyethylene and Polypropyle Blends
Recycling of plastics is one of the biggest challenges facing the earth in the 21st century due to the environmental impact they have on the waste stream. One of the biggest challenges in the recycling of these materials are their incompatibility; therefore, the segregation of waste in order to repurpose them back into something useful for a second life is an important barrier to overcome. This study expands on work done in literature to correlate rheological properties of linear virgin plastics to their w, which is useful in deducing some mechanical behaviors of the material. The benefit being the impact on industries to run cost-effective and reliable measurements using a Melt Flow Indexer to roughly determine the ratio of HDPE/PP blends if a rough estimate for w, is provided. Otherwise, a w, can be deduced with a reasonable estimate of the blend of HDPE/PP in the waste stream. This paper employs techniques such as differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis, melt flow indexing, and gel-permeation chromatography to investigate thermal, rheological, and mechanical properties of various blends of both virgin and post-consumer HDPE and PP over five heat histories. The introduction of blends of virgin materials expands on the literature, and post-consumer plastics provide a real-world example of how this relation holds with every day postconsumer plastics such as milk jugs, coffee jars, plastic pottery, and detergent bottles. The results show that the correlation established in literature holds for the virgin materials; however, the post-consumer plastics did not favor this relationship and was more accurately predicted using the raw data plotted against one another. This is an interesting discovery and leads to the investigation of exactly what properties affect this correlation, and if there is a predictable curve depending on the presence of additives or the spread in MFI or w, properties
From One Pocket to the Other: The Abuse of Real Estate Investment Trusts Deductions
Many large, multi-state retailers and banks have been acting as their own landlord by paying rent to themselves. Sophisticated corporate tax strategists have employed a method of avoiding state taxes by using a real estate investment trust (REIT) to own its real estate. The retailer or bank then pays rent to the REIT, which then turns the money over to a holding company. The rent money ends up back in the hands of the corporate parent, without being subject to state income tax along the way. Although this tax loophole has been closed by the federal government, the strategy is still being used to avoid taxes in several states. As states begin to take notice of corporations that avoid millions of dollars in taxes, some have employed various methods of recovering the tax funds and have taken steps to prevent corporations from avoiding taxes in the future. However, not all states have enacted effective means of closing this loophole. This summary analyzes the method of using captive REITs to avoid state tax liability, outlines the development of REITs, describes states\u27 efforts in recovering and preventing the use of REIT deductions, and advocates closing the loophole through legislation
