Induction motor IFOC based speed-controlled drive with asymptotic disturbance compensation

This paper presents the design of digitally controlled speed electrical drive, with the asymptotic compensation of external disturbances, implemented by using the IFOC (Indirect Field Oriented Control) torque controlled induction motor. The asymptotic disturbance compensation is achieved by using the DOB (Disturbance Observer) with the IMP (Internal Model Principle). When compared to the existing IMP-based DOB solutions, in this paper the robust stability and disturbance compensation are improved by implementing the minimal order DOB filter. Also, the IMP-based DOB design is improved by employing the asymptotic compensation of all elemental or more complex external disturbances. The dynamic model of the IFOC torque electrical drive is, also, included in the speed-controller and DOB section design. The simulation and experimental measurements presented in the paper illustrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed control scheme

Избрисани Словеније: назире ли се крај приче?

The term “Erased” refers to a part of the population in the Republic of Slovenia that has been erased in 1992 from the official population registry. A critical analysis of the given discourse confirms that the erased were not removed from the registry due to their immanent characteristics or behaviors (background, ethnic or regional, social status, being late for filing claims to obtain the citizenship in Slovenia) but due to the existence of the discourse about Slovenians which has brought about a creation and interpretation of laws, and thus allowed the removal/erasing of the particular group in question as well as other subsequent connotation regarding the term “the erased”.Израз ‘избрисани‘односи се на један део популације Републике Словеније који је 1992. године био избрисан из регистра њеног сталног становништва. Применом критичке анализе дискурса потврђује се теза да ‘избрисани’ нису избрисани због неких својих есенцијалистички схваћених „иманентних“ карактеристика или поступака (порекло – етничко или регионално, социјални статус, неаплицирање за словеначко држављанство у предвиђеном року), већ услед постојања дискурса о словенству који је довео до стварања и интерпретације закона којим је омогућен настанак избрисаних, али и сва каснија придавања одређених значења термину ‘избрисани‘. Речи немају значење саме по себи, већ је оно зависно од њихове употребе. То потврђује сосировско становиште да је лингвистички знак арбитраран. Ако је арбитраран, онда није слободан. И не само зато што не може да постоји сам за себе, већ само као део система, нити само зато што јер употреба знакова није слободна ствар по себи. Сваки лингвистички знак – чим постане актуализован – постане уплетен у комплексне мреже дискурса. Неки лингвистички знаци могу да се померају по тим мрежама, а други су у потпуности зависни од надређеног дискурса, оног који их је створио. Тако ‘избрисани’ постоји као обичан придев. И тај обичан придев има слободу кретања по различитим дискурсима. ‘Избрисани’, као нешто што је део дискурса о словенству, врло тешко постаје екстензија или интензија неког другог дискурса, бар све до тренутка док се надређени дискурс не промени довољно (и отвори се да пусти ‘избрисане’ напоље, иако је и направљен зато да им не дозволи да уопште уђу у њега). То значи да се за сада крај приче о ‘избрисанима’ не назире, упркос покушајима промене дискурса о њима. ‘Избрисани’ остају антипод некаквих Словенаца, неки реликт, нуспродукт осамостаљивања Словеније, неки варавари, неко Друго, иако се све чешће повезују са одређеним глобалнијим токовима (општа људска права, глобални социјални покрети). Разлог томе се мора тражити у равни која превазилази раван овог конкретног надређеног дискурса. Док не настане редефиниција словенства, ‘избрисани’ ће постојати. Deutsche Lehnwörter und ihre kroatischen Entsprechungen

Broj njemackih posudenica u hrvatskome jeziku je manji nego što bi se moglo ocekivati, s obzirom na to da je višestoljetna politicka i kulturna povezanost Hrvatske s habsburškom državom uvjetovala izravni dodir njemackoga i hrvatskoga jezika. Razlog je tome jezicna politika koja se svjesno odupirala snažnom utjecaju njemackoga jezika na hrvatski, dajuci u standardnome jeziku prednost hrvatskim rijecima. U supstandardnom jeziku se, medutim, održao veci broj njemackih posudenica, iako za te rijeci postoje hrvatski ekvivalenti. U ovome ce se radu preispitati odnos njemacke posudenice i njezine domace zamjene, tj. u kojoj mjeri je hrvatski ekvivalent uspješna zamjena njemackoj posudenici kao i to o cemu sve ovisi ta uspješnost.Die jahrhundertelange politische und kulturelle Verbindung Kroatiens zur Habsburger Monarchie ermöglichte einen direkten deutsch-kroatischen Sprachkontakt. Die Zahl der deutschen Lehnwörter in der kroatischen Sprache ist jedoch geringer als man vermuten könnte. Der Grund dafür liegt in der Tatsache, dass die kroatische Sprachpolitik bewusst gegen den Einfluss der deutschen Sprache auf die kroatische gerichtet war, indem kroatischen Wörtern in der Standardsprache der Vorrang vor deutschen Entlehnungen gegeben wurde. Trotzdem konnte sich ein Großteil der deutschen Lehnwörter im Substandard erhalten, obwohl ein kroatisches Synonym besteht. In diesem Beitrag wird untersucht, ob diese deutschen Entlehnungen durch ihre kroatischen Äquivalente ersetzbar sind

Scalar extension Hopf algebroids

Given a Hopf algebra $H$, Brzezi\'nski and Militaru have shown that each braided commutative Yetter-Drinfeld $H$-module algebra $A$ gives rise to an associative $A$-bialgebroid structure on the smash product algebra $A \sharp H$. They also exhibited an antipode map making $A\sharp H$ the total algebra of a Lu's Hopf algebroid over $A$. However, the published proof that the antipode is an antihomomorphism covers only a special case. In this paper, a complete proof of the antihomomorphism property is exhibited. Moreover, a new generalized version of the construction is provided. Its input is a compatible pair $A$ and $A^{\mathrm{op}}$ of braided commutative Yetter-Drinfeld $H$-module algebras, and output is a symmetric Hopf algebroid $A\sharp H \cong H\sharp A^{\mathrm{op}}$ over $A$. A fast and simple method for the visual enhancement of microcalcifications in digital mammograms based on mathematical morphology

A fast and simple method for the visual enhancement of small bright details in digital mammograms based on mathematical morphology is proposed. By a proper choice of the shape and size of the structuring element, an algorithm for a particular processing task - in this case, for the visual enhancement of microcalcifications in digital mammograms - was designed. The efficiency of the proposed algorithm was tested on publicly available mammograms from the mammographic image analysis society database. In all tested cases (23 mammograms), the proposed method successfully segmented and enhanced the existing microcalcifications, independently verified by medical experts. The proposed procedure may be used both as a visual aid in clinical mammogram analysis or as a preprocessing step for further processing, such as segmentation, classification and detection of microcalcifications. Moreover, the algorithm is very fast and robust, thus applicable to real-time mammogram processing

Visual enhancement of microcalcifications and masses in digital mammograms using modified multifractal analysis

Microcalcifications and masses, as breast tissue anomalies (deviations from observed background regularity), may be viewed as statistically rare occurrences in a mammogram image. After recognizing their principal common features - bright image parts not belonging to the surrounding tissue, with significant local contrast just around the edges - several modifications to multifractal image analysis have been introduced. Starting from a mammogram image, the proposed method creates corresponding multifractal images. Additional post-processing, based on mathematical morphology, refines the procedure by selecting and outlining only regions with possible microcalcifications and masses. The proposed method was tested through referent mammograms from the MiniMIAS database. In all cases involving the said database, the method has successfully enhanced declared anomalies: microcalcifications and masses. The results obtained have shown that the described procedure may provide visual assistance to radiologists in clinical mammogram examinations or be used as a preprocessing step for further mammogram processing, such as segmentation, classification, and automatic detection of suspected bright breast tissue lesions

Serbian migration practice is the result of often conflicting policies at the regional, state and local level. The manifold values and interests constituting the concepts on which these policies were based have led to the transformation of the presence of migrants in certain areas into an object of political manipulation. Thus the presence of migrants became a focal point of conflicts between the state and local government, or between people with different interests.У раду је приказан утицај политичких збивања – на регионалном, државном и локалном нивоу – на свакодневицу миграната и лица која траже азил у Србији, кроз анализу четири случаја у којима је присуство миграната у одређеној области трансформисано у предмет политичке манипулације и условљавања. Српска миграцијска политика и пракса растрзане су између захтева Европске уније, које Србија треба да испуни у оквиру процеса евроинтеграција, и непоседовања објективних могућности да се то и оствари, као што су неадекватно формулисани закони, неприпремљеност институција за њихово спровођење, недовољна финансијска средства, али и аспирације локалних политичких и економских елита. Испоставља се да је заштита права миграната и лица која траже азил, која произилазе било из националних било из међународних регулатива, ситуационог а не универзалног карактера, односно, да зависи од тренутних односа моћи. У тексту је најпре дат кратак приказ српске миграцијске политике и азилног система до септембра 2013. године, а затим су представљена четири специфична догађаја путем којих се могу пратити социо-политички конфликти који су их покренули и довели до траснформације присуства миграната у проблем у локалној средини, а што се даље користи као средство политичког притиска. Положај миграната, услови њиховог боравка на територији Србије, доступност здравствене заштите, хране, заклона, висина економских трошкова, али и могућност да доспеју до циљне земље, тако постају „колатерална штета“ различитих интересних група.Тема броја: Истраживање миграција (ур. Izbjeglice, azilanti i ilegalni migranti u administrativnom i javnom diskursu u Srbiji: pregled koncepata u dijakronijskoj perspektivi

The present discourse concerning asylum and irregular migration, with all its concepts and institutions, techniques and code of conduct, was introduced in the Republic of Serbia through the EU Accession process. As a prerequisite for visa liberalization with the EU (achieved in 2009), Serbia signed readmission agreements with the EU and its member-states and adopted the Asylum Law (Zakon o azilu 2007) and the Law on Foreigners (Zakon o strancima 2008). However, related notions and legal instruments existed in the periods that preceded it. In this text I offer a diachronic overview of conceptual and procedural differences and discuss their entanglements, merging, spilling over and confrontation. In such a way, my aim is to point out their use as political statements in particular, as performatives affecting national and international political contexts.Sadašnji diskurs o azilu i iregularnoj migraciji, sa svim njegovim konceptima i institucijama, tehnikama i kodeksom ponašanja, uveden je u Republiku Srbiju kroz tzv. proces pristupanja Europskoj uniji. Kao preduvjet liberalizacije viznog režima s Europskom unijom (postignute 2009. godine), Srbija je potpisala sporazume o readmisiji s Europskom unijom i njezinim državama članicama, te usvojila Zakon o azilu (2007.) i Zakon o strancima (2008.). Međutim, bliski pojmovi i pravni instrumenti postojali su i prethodnim periodima. U ovom tekstu dajem dijakronijski pregled konceptualnih i proceduralnih razlika i govorim o njihovim preplitanjima, spajanju, prelijevanju i sučeljavanju. Time pokušavam indicirati prije svega njihovu uporabu u svojstvu političkih izjava, tj. kao performative koji utječu na nacionalni i međunarodni politički kontekst
