    Noise reduction algorithm for Glueball correlators

    We present an error reduction method for obtaining glueball correlators from monte carlo simulations of SU(3) lattice gauge theory. We explore the scalar and tensor channels at three different lattice spacings. Using this method we can follow glueball correlators to temporal separations even up to 1 fermi.     Identification of Ultraviolet radiation induced Gallic acid and Caffeic acid formation in Palm juice (Borassus flabellifer) by HPLC & Mass Spectra Technique.

    Palm juice, a common-cheap-antioxidants rich natural plant juice has been investigated for optimizing the effect of UV-radiation on the antioxidant activity using a DPPH free radical scavenging activity method. In this study separate set of samples of raw palm juice has been treated with 365 and 254 nm UV-lights (UVL) respectively for different exposure time. When exposed for 15 min with 365 nm UVL induces concentration factor of caffeic acid, whereas, 254 nm UVL induces gallic acid accumulation, but overall antioxidant activity was higher for 365 nm UVradiation. Caffeic acid and other polyphenol compounds are increased by 5.5 ± 0.5 % than normal palm juice, observed after irradiation with 365 nm UVL. Even after the exposure of UV irradiation for 15 min, did not affect on peptide bond modification of protein molecules present in palm juice, therefore a green effect of UVL is explored for the effective increase of antioxidant activity

    Screening of Volatile Constituents of N. sativa on Calcium Depleted Heart Model

    The number of deaths from cardiovascular disorders is rising every year. Nigella sativa, one of the accessible natural plants, has a broad range of pharmacological effects. The Nigella sativa seeds were removed, cleaned, and preserved in order to research the effects of the plant on the cardiovascular system. After being ground into a fine powder, the seeds were used to extract the volatile oil from the seeds using the steam distillation process. The hypodynamic model was used after the rat\u27s heart was removed. Using the standard kreb\u27s hanselet salt solution to mount the isolated heart, a typical graph was produced. As the calcium concentration was reduced, the graph\u27s negative tropic activity became apparent. When N. sativa was administered it has produced additional negative tropic effect on hypodynamic heart. At 0.1 ml produced negative tropic effect and keeps on decreasing as the dose increases by 0.2, 0.4, 0.8ml in dose dependent manner

    Nematohydrodynamics for colloidal self-assembly and transport phenomena

    Hypothesis: Colloidal particles in a nematic liquid crystal (NLC) exhibit very different behaviour to that observed in an isotropic medium. Such differences arise principally due to the nematic-induced elastic stresses exerted due to the interaction of NLC molecules with interfaces, which compete with traditional fluid viscous stresses on the particle. Theory: A systematic mathematical analysis of particles in an NLC microfluidic channel is performed using the continuum Beris–Edwards framework coupled to the Navier–Stokes equations. We impose strong homeotropic anchoring on the channel walls and weak homeotropic anchoring on the particle surfaces. Findings: The viscous and NLC forces act on an individual particle in opposing directions, resulting in a critical location in the channel where the particle experiences zero net force in the direction perpendicular to the flow. For multi-particle aggregation we show that the final arrangement is independent of the initial configuration, but the path towards achieving equilibrium is very different. These results uncover new mechanisms for particle separation and routes towards self-assembly

    One-dimensional theoretical analysis of coupling and confinement effects on the cybotactic clusters of bent-core nematic liquid crystals

    The bent-core liquid crystals (LCs) are highly regarded as the next-generation materials for electro-optic devices. The nematic (N) phase of these LCs possesses highly ordered smecticlike cybotactic clusters which are promising for electro-optic applications. We have studied a one-dimensional Landau–de Gennes model of spatially inhomogeneous order parameters for the N phase of bent-core LCs. We investigate the effects of spatial confinement and coupling (between these clusters and the surrounding LC molecules modeled by a coupling parameter γ) on the order parameters. The coupling is found to increase the cluster order parameter significantly, suggesting enhancement in cluster formation, and also predicts a transition to a phase with weak nematiclike ordering above the nematic supercooling temperature
