Multifrequency dial sensing of the atmospheric gaseous constituents using the first and second harmonics of a tunable CO2 laser radiation

    Get PDF
The results of field measurements of concentration of some gaseous components of the atmosphere along the paths, in Sofia, Bulgaria, using a gas analyzer based on the use of a CO2 laser radiation frequency-doubled with ZnGeP2 monocrystals are presented. The gas analyzer is a traditional long path absorption meter. Radiation from the tunable CO2 laser of low pressure and from an additional He-Ne laser is directed to a colliminating hundredfold Gregori telescope with a 300 mm diameter of the principal mirror. The dimensions of the mirrors of a retroreflector 500 x 500 mm and a receiving telescope allow one to totally intercept the beam passed through the atmospheric layer under study and back

Dielectric barrier discharge KrCl - and XeCl-excilamps radiation power control by pressure jump method

    Get PDF
The energy dissipation processes in dielectric barrier discharge KrCl- and XeCl-excilamps at various voltage, frequencies and pulse duration are revealed by a pressure jump method. It is offered and tested a way of radiation power calculation in conditions of non-uniform filling of device bulb by discharge plasma. The previous data (Pikulev A.A., Sosnin E.A., 2010-2013) are confirmed. The regularity was formulated: conditions of maximal ultraviolet radiation power corresponds to conditions of maximal heat release in plasma. Application of excilamps in agriculture and animal breeding (review)

    Get PDF
The paper provides a review of research data on applications of XeCl excilamps in agriculture and animal breeding. The data demonstrate a favorable effect of radiation produced by the excilamps on the fertility of animals (outbred mice and pigs) and on the growth of plants (flaxes, potatoes, carrots, cucumbers, conifers). Excilamp models adapted specially for use in stock-raising and grain storage complexes are now available. The research data obtained in 2012-2015 suggest that XeCl excilamps hold promise for prevention of diseases in indoor-housed pigs and for pre-sowing seed preparation

The relevance of the research problem due to the needs of the labor market, terms of developing economy of micro-entrepreneurship in sport and recreation sector and the demands of the subject of labour activity to professional training without discontinuing work. The purpose of the article is to understand the current issues aspects of pedagogical learning situation of a potential employee an experienced professional when using the internal resources of micro-enterprises. A leading approach to the study of this problem is systematically-activity, which allows to represent the process of professional learning in conditions of the micro-enterprise as a system activity of subjects for the development of professional competence of the employee sports and recreation sector. The results of the research showed that the process of training and professional interaction of the micro-enterprise employees to be effective if educational-vocational. interaction of the micro-enterprise employees will be considered as a productive mutual agreed actions of subjects of labour, aimed at solving educational and professional problems in the process of joint labour activity. The article can be useful to researchers of the problem of industrial education in the current socio-economic conditions, from a practical point of view - chiefs of micro-entrepreneurship in sport and recreation sector. Recommender systems in antiviral drug discovery

    Get PDF
Recommender systems (RSs), which underwent rapid development and had an enormous impact on e-commerce, have the potential to become useful tools for drug discovery. In this paper, we applied RS methods for the prediction of the antiviral activity class (active/inactive) for compounds extracted from ChEMBL. Two main RS approaches were applied: Collaborative filtering (Surprise implementation) and content-based filtering (sparse-group inductive matrix completion (SGIMC) method). The effectiveness of RS approaches was investigated for prediction of antiviral activity classes ("interactions") for compounds and viruses, for which some of their interactions with other viruses or compounds are known, and for prediction of interaction profiles for new compounds. Both approaches achieved relatively good prediction quality for binary classification of individual interactions and compound profiles, as quantified by cross-validation and external validation receiver operating characteristic (ROC) score >0.9. Thus, even simple recommender systems may serve as an effective tool in antiviral drug discovery

Formation of a microcomposite structure in the surface layer of yttrium-doped titanium

    Get PDF
Surface layers containing oxides and carbides of titanium and yttrium are prepared by the electroexplosive doping of titanium with yttrium. The subsequent electron-beam irradiation leads to dispersion of the structure to a nano- and submicron state. The formation of two types of eutectics is revealed using scanning electron microscopy. The eutectics enriched in titanium and yttrium have a globular and plate-like shape, respectively. The formation of a modified surface layer (enriched in yttrium, carbides and oxides of titanium and yttrium) leads to a threefold increase in the microhardness of the titanium, a more than twofold decrease in the friction coefficient of the doped layer, and a more than 2.8-fold decrease in the wear rate
