    Evaluation Framework and Model of Oil Industry’s International Competitiveness

    In the occasion of economic globalization, competitiveness of the pillar industry has become the core of the regional competitiveness. As the largest industry in the world, oil industry’s international competitiveness is referred to as the important figure of one country’s comprehensive competitiveness. So it may discovery a large of information for people by structuring an evaluation framework of oil industry. We need create a set of evaluation index system when structuring an evaluation framework, so it means that the first step for us to do is to find suitable evaluation indexes. In this paper authors created an evaluation index system of oil industry to evaluate its international competitiveness, which was structured from the aspects of current competitiveness, potential competitiveness and environmental factors. Then a fuzzy evaluation model based on two-base-point method was designed to act as the evaluation model. And we can evaluate oil industry’s international competitiveness of any country by the model.     A highly efficient transient protoplast system for analyzing defence gene expression and protein–protein interactions in rice

    The transient assay system based on mesophyll or cultured cell-derived protoplasts has been exploited in several plant species and has become a powerful tool for rapid gene functional analysis and biochemical manipulations. However, the system has not been widely used in rice owing to the difficulties in large-scale isolation of viable rice protoplasts from leaves or suspension-cultured cells. Here, we describe a significantly improved method to isolate a large number of protoplasts from stem and sheath tissues of both young and mature plants. High-level coexpression of multiple constructs and efficient suppression of exogenous and endogenous genes were observed in the stem- and sheath-derived protoplasts. A transient green fluorescent protein and luciferase-based reporter system for defence-related genes expression analysis has been established, which is useful for screening and characterizing genes involved in rice defence signalling pathways. Furthermore, a protoplast-based bimolecular fluorescence complementation (BiFC) system for the detection of protein–protein interactions in living rice cells was developed. The YFP complementation of two split-YFP halves mediated by homodimerization of the GUS and SPIN1, a cell-death related protein, was observed in transfected protoplasts. In combination with genetic, genomic and proteomic approaches, the established versatile protoplast transient assay system will facilitate large-scale functional analysis of defence-related genes in rice

    IntroductionFlavonoids are important water soluble secondary metabolites in plants, and light is one of the most essential environmental factors regulating flavonoids biosynthesis. In the previous study, we found bagging treatment significantly inhibited the accumulation of flavonols and anthocyanins but promoted the proanthocyanidins accumulation in the fruit peel of mango (Mangifera indica L.) cultivar ‘Sensation’, while the relevant molecular mechanism is still unknown.MethodsIn this study, RNA-seq was conducted to identify the key pathways and genes involved in the light-regulated flavonoids biosynthesis in mango peel.ResultsBy weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA), 16 flavonoids biosynthetic genes were crucial for different flavonoids compositions biosynthesis under bagging treatment in mango. The higher expression level of LAR (mango026327) in bagged samples might be the reason why light inhibits proanthocyanidins accumulation in mango peel. The reported MYB positively regulating anthocyanins biosynthesis in mango, MiMYB1, has also been identified by WGCNA in this study. Apart from MYB and bHLH, ERF, WRKY and bZIP were the three most important transcription factors (TFs) involved in the light-regulated flavonoids biosynthesis in mango, with both activators and repressors. Surprisingly, two HY5 transcripts, which are usually induced by light, showed higher expression level in bagged samples.DiscussionOur results provide new insights of the regulatory effect of light on the flavonoids biosynthesis in mango fruit peel

    The dynamic changes of mango (Mangifera indica L.) epicuticular wax during fruit development and effect of epicuticular wax on Colletotrichum gloeosporioides invasion

    Mango fruits are susceptible to diseases, such as anthracnose, during fruit development, leading to yield reduction. Epicuticular wax is closely related to resistance of plants to pathogenic bacterial invasion. In this study, the effect of mango fruit epicuticular wax on the invasion of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides was investigated, followed by to understand the changes of wax chemical composition and crystal morphology during mango fruit development using GC-MS and SEM. Results showed that the epicuticular wax of mango fruits can prevent the invasion of C. gloeosporioides, and ‘Renong’ showed the strongest resistance to C. gloeosporioides. The wax content of four mango varieties first increased and then decreased from 40 days after full bloom (DAFB) to 120 DAFB. In addition, 95 compounds were detected in the epicuticular wax of the four mango varieties at five developmental periods, in which primary alcohols, terpenoids and esters were the main wax chemical composition. Furthermore, the surface wax structure of mango fruit changed dynamically during fruit development, and irregular platelet-like crystals were the main wax structure. The present study showed the changes of wax content, chemical composition and crystal morphology during mango fruit development, and the special terpenoids (squalene, farnesyl acetate and farnesol) and dense crystal structure in the epicuticular wax of ‘Renong’ fruit may be the main reason for its stronger resistance to C. gloeosporioides than other varieties.     The sustainability of social pension insurance is of great significance in guaranteeing the essential life of the elderly and promoting social stability. Based on the provincial panel data from 2012 to 2020, this study uses non-spatial measurement methods, ArcGIS visualization research methods, and geographic detectors to study the regional differences in China’s pension fund balances and the underlying influencing factors. Compared with the traditional way of establishing regression equations to explore the correlation of influencing factors, geographic detectors can quantify the strength of each influencing factor and detect the interaction of different influencing factors. This study found that: First, the growth rate of China’s overall pension fund balances has been declining yearly, with the fastest decline in northeast China, the middle in the Western and Central regions of China, and the slowest decline in Eastern China. Second, the spatial distribution of pension fund balances shows agglomeration characteristics, with high-value areas mainly distributed in Eastern China and low-value regions distributed primarily in Western and Northeastern China. Third, the overall Theil index for pension fund balances is trending down, but the Theil index for the Eastern region is on the rise. Fourth, seven factors, including the working-age population, the population aged 65 and above, and regional GDP, are the main factors that lead to regional differences in the balance of urban and rural residential insurance funds. Finally, the superimposed effects of each element are reflected in double-factor enhancement or non-linear enhancement relation.</div
