Manufacture of desired end products by means of fine treatment of coal tar resin
The possibility of desired end product manufacture from by-product coke industry wastes is shown. A large number of valuable products can be obtained from different fractions of coal tar resin by their fine treatment. The products obtained in this way find application in medical and chemical industries and etc. Moreover, recycling of by-product coke wastes into end products solves the problem of their utilization

High-boiling components in straw oil
Investigation of straw oil and polymer quality produced in the process of its regeneration has been carried out. The conclusions about using polymers as a material for base end products are made. Flow scheme of technological treatment of straw oil wastes is suggested
Archpriest Petr Ivanovich Uspensky: Hagiographer, Inspector “Plakida”, and Renovationist Bishop of Orel and Tambov
Censor of the Tambov Diocesan Bulletin and a member of Tambov Spiritual Consistory, archpriest Petr Uspensky was also a teacher and inspector of the Vologda Seminary, and rector of some Tambov churches, who participated in the solemn glorification of St. Seraphim of Sarov and became one of the authors of his akathist. In the 1930s, he was the Renovationist bishop of Orel and Tambov, and lived out his last days “in retirement” as the cemetery church rector. To reconstruct the life path and moral image of Fr. Petr the author uses publications from pre-revolutionary periodicals, and the memoirs of Nikifor Alexandrovich Ilyinsky, a long-term assistant of inspector of the Vologda Seminary, stored in the Vologda Archive; the record of service of Archpriest Petr, and some other archival sources relating to his official activities, as well as the story of Ilariy Grigorievich Shadrin “Bursa”, specified by the writer’s diary entries and containing valuable factual data. The study aims to gradually reconstruct the biography of Petr Uspensky, whose moral portrait is clarified through various circumstances of his life. These include youth in the Tver theological schools and Saint Petersburg Theological Academy, within the brotherhood of his fellow villagers; and his inspection activities in the Vologda Seminary, which is considered in the context of seminary pedagogy of that time — the memories of teachers are supplemented by seminarians’ testimonies; and also his service in the Tambov consistory and rectorship in the Tambov Mother of God Church (with only official reports and fragmentary data available here); and, finally, his Renovationist episcopacy and life “at rest” clarified through the correspondence with N. A. Ilyinsky.
Additionally, the place of Petr Uspensky among other Renovationist bishops has been established and the authorship of some hagiographic works about St. Seraphim of Sarov, St. Pitirim of Tambov, and the Tambov Icon of the Mother of God, as well as biographies of the persons mentioned in the cited sources have been clarified. The appendix contains the most interesting materials that could not be included into the main text of the article: sketches on pedagogical topics from the memoirs of N. A. Ilyinsky; Petr Uspensky’s statement about the healing of his daughter from the mantle of St. Pitirim of Tambov; and letters of Fr. Petr Uspensky to N. A. Ilyinsky
Anticorrosive properties of epoxy coatings, impregnated with manganese-containing pigments
© Research India Publications 2015. Most inhibiting pigments, imparting high anticonosive properties to the primer modern metal materials, contain extremely oxidated chromium, and as a consequence, are toxic. Search for low-toxic pigments comparable on the effectiveness of the protective effect with chioiniuin-containing pigments remains today an urgent task. As a film-forming material, it was used the epoxy oligomer E-40 being widely applicable in the paint industry epoxy, for which, polyethylene polyamine served as a hardener. Calcining calcium manganite, manganite-co-precipitated calcium silicate, and manganese blue were chosen as anticonosive pigments, the properties of anticonosi\*e coating on the basis of epoxy oligomer E-40 pigmented with manganese compounds were investigated. It has been found that inclusion of the synthesized pigment into composition of coatings enhances their ability to inhibit undei’film corrosion of steel. It has been proposed compounds of anticonosive primers on the effectiveness of protective action, surpassing industrial counterparts. The paper investigates influence of the content and nature of manganese anticonosive pigments on the protective properties of epoxy coatings. It has been shown that in the region of pigmentation below the critical, there is an increase of auticonosion efficiency of coatings. It has been evaluated the critical volume content of pigment, developed the formulations of primers, coatings on the basis of which the effectiveness of corrosion exceed the industry analogue
«Judged by the pastoral conscience». Diary of Vasily Sokolov «Borovetsky»
The article is devoted to establishing the authorship of the diary written by some priest of the Vologda diocese and fragmentarily published in the Vologda Diocesan Gazette in 1908–1916 under the title «Judged by the pastoral conscience», with no author’s indication. Using archival data and publications in the church periodicals of that time, the researcher has discovered that the diary belongs to the famous ascetic of the Vologda region priest Vasily Nikolaevich Sokolov (1865–1909), also called by his contemporaries «Borovetsky», which is derived from the place of priest’s service: sett. Borok of the Vologda district. As a priest, Father Vasily enjoyed great prestige among the inhabitants of the surrounding villages and the Vologda province in general; at the end of his life Fr. Vasily for several years held the position of spiritual mentor in the Vologda Theological Seminary. Priest Vasily Sokolov’s circle of spiritual fellowship included: priest Alexander Badanin (now —locally venerated saint of the Vologda diocese), priest Nikolai Karaulov (Holy Martyr Nikolai, canonized with the New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia), and also hieromonk Theophanes (Kharitonov, later — famous elder of Athos), as well as Bishop Neophyte (Slednikov, died in 1918 as Bishop of Starobelsk and Vicar of the Kharkov diocese), and hieromonk of the Vologda Cross Church Simeon (Stefanov, 1867–1903; devotee of piety), and Nikita (Gromov, 1865–1935; inhabitant of the Dionisievo-Glushitsky Monastery). As shown in the article, it is Bishop Neophyte (Slednikov) who should be considered the publisher and editor of the diary. Since priest Vasily Sokolov was extremely attentive and demanding about his inner world, his diary entries are replete with indications of his unworthiness and imperfections. Being unfamiliar with the life of this ascetic priest, a reader may get the impression that the diary’s author really lives a relaxed life and is far from spiritual success.
Establishing the authorship of the diary and the biography of priest Vasily allows to correctly assess its content and opens the diary as a witness of the life of the ascetic pastor for a wide range of readers. As an illustration, some fragments of the diary are published in the appendix
Modification of the experimental setup of the FTIR spectrometer and thirty-meter optical cell for measurements of weak selective and nonselective absorptions
The improvement of the experimental setup based on a Fourier spectrometer Bruker IFS-125 and a 30-meter multipass optical cell is described. The improvement includes the cell equipment with a system of automated adjustment of the number of beam passes without cell depressurization and ensures the cell work at high temperatures
Hadron Production via e+e- Collisions with Initial State Radiation
A novel method of studying e+e- annihilation into hadrons using initial state
radiation at e+e- colliders is described. After brief history of the method,
its theoretical foundations are considered. Numerous experiments in which
exclusive cross sections of e+e- annihilation into hadrons below the
center-of-mass energy of 5 GeV have been measured are presented. Some
applications of the results obtained to fundamental tests of the Standard Model
are listed.Comment: 50 pages, 88 figures, accepted for publication in Rev. Mod. Phy
